format.These Discswill soundbestifyou connectthe DVD Playerto a Dolby Digital or DTS Decoder.

• Youwillneeda coaxialdigitalaudiocable(notsupplied).

• If you connect the DVD Playerto a Dolby Digital Decoder,setDOLBY DIGITAL to ON. Detailsareon pages

38-39.

• If you connect the DVD Playerto a DTS Decoder,set DTS to ON. Detailsareonpages38-39.
If the DVD Player isnot connected to a Dolby Digital or DTS decoder,set DOLBY DIGITAL and DTS to
OFF.Incorrect settingsmay causenoise distortion and damagethe speakers.

• Selectthe 5.I channelDolby Digital Surround soundinthe Disc menu.

• Connect a subwoofer and the center,front, and surround speakersto the Decoder asdescribed in the

on the DVD Player. "HELLO" will appear briefly on the DVD Player's display

panel.You should see the DVD logo on the TV. If you do not, check your connec-
