Luminance Transience Improvement (LTI™)
A new generation of edge enhancement technology applied directly to the
video processing circuitry creates a remarkable increase in clarity and sharpness at the point of transition from dark to light areas of the video image.
When coupled with other recent advancements, LTI™ produces a picture
so sharp and well defined that you’ll never want to go to the movies again.
Two-Tuner PIP
Now you can enjoy all the benefits of Smart Window™ PIP without a
VCR! With two separate tuners (and two separate tuner inputs), you can
tune to your favorite show with Tuner One, for example, while scanning
other channels with Tuner Two in the PIP window. The A/V inputs are
also available as PIP sources so all functions of standard PIP are still
accessible. You can swap the main and secondary pictures, position
secondary pictures in any screen corner, even freeze the main picture
information and put it into the inset picture. In all cases, the main picture
is provided with its corresponding audio.

No more fumbling in the dark to access TV and VCR functions. Just
press the button on the remote control and all buttons on the
remote control glow.
Remote Locator™
Lost or misplaced remotes are easy to find! Simply press the POWER
button on the TV. The words “Locating Remote” appear on the screen
and the remote control beeps–leading you right to it. Press any key on
the remote to stop the beeping.
Universal TV/VCR/Cable Remote
Controls all features and functions of this monitor/receiver with direct
menu access, including the Two-Tuner A/B Switch, Smart Window™ PIP
with On/Off, Position, Freeze, Swap, Source, and PIP CHANNEL ;
Multimedia Mode, Incredible Stereo™, Surf™, and the dual A/V input/
tuner switch. It also activates the exclusive SmartSound™, SmartClock™,
and SmartPicture™ options. In addition, this remote controls all important
operating features and functions of virtually all infrared VCRs, most
brands of DVD Video players, virtually all brands of DBS receivers, and
on/off as well as CHANNEL functions on most cable converter/

Multimedia Mode
Simply press the MULTIMEDIA button on the remote control and
sequentially scroll through the various inputs. The SmartPicture™ option
is automatically set to MULTIMEDIA for optimal adjustment of customer
controls. The third time the MULTIMEDIA button is pressed, the TV
returns to the original tuner source and all settings revert to their previous
condition…automatically!

SmartSound™
When activated, SmartSound™ keeps volume levels constant between
programs and commercials, and from one channel to another. SmartSound™
constantly monitors the audio signal, reducing a signal that’s too loud and
increasing a signal that’s too weak.
Surround Sound
Experience the full three-dimensional effect of a live musical performance
or theater with four or more speakers. The front left and right speakers
contain directional sounds creating stereo spread or what’s known as the
“wall of sound” as well as other important effects that help “steer” the
audio more realistically to the listener’s ears. The rear speakers help to
recreate the reflective ambience of the original room in which the audio
was recorded. They generate short echoes and delays that help make the
entire audio experience more lifelike.
