Introduction
Congratulations on your purchase and welcome to Philips! To fully benet from the support that
Philips offers, register your product at www.philips.com/welcome.
With the InfraCare, you can comfortably treat muscle and joint problems and relieve muscle and
joint pain at home. Just like the sun, the appliance emits infrared light. The special lter only passes
the type of light required to achieve the intended therapeutic effect. The InfraCare can also be used
for relaxation or preparation for a massage.

Explanation of symbols
- The symbols on the InfraCare have the following meaning:
1 This symbol warns you against hot surfaces (Fig. 2).
2 This symbol indicates that you have to read the user manual carefully
before you use the appliance. Save the user manual for future
reference (Fig. 3).
3 This symbol indicates that this appliance is double insulated (Class II) (Fig. 4).
- This appliance meets the requirements of Medical Device Directive
MDD93/42/EEC.
Danger
- Water and electricity are a dangerous combination! Do not use this
appliance in wet surroundings (e.g. in the bathroom or near a shower or
swimming pool).
- Do not let water run into the appliance or spill water onto the appliance.
Warning
- Check if the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds to the local
mains voltage before you connect the appliance.
- If the mains cord is damaged, you must have it replaced by Philips,
a service centre authorised by Philips or similarly qualied persons in
order to avoid a hazard.

- Do not leave the appliance unattended when it is switched on.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use
of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
- This appliance is not intended for use by children. Children should be
supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- This appliance is intended for the treatment of muscle and joint pain
and muscle and joint stiffness, not for the treatment of abdominal,
facial and other sorts of pain.
- To prevent overheating of the skin, avoid very short treatment distances.
The warmth should be comfortable throughout the treatment.
- To prevent eye damage, do not look into the light of the lamp when it is on.
- Do not fall asleep during treatment.
- Prevent the treatment area from cooling down too fast immediately
after treatment.
- If there is no improvement after 6-8 treatments, stop using the
appliance and consult your doctor.
Contraindications for InfraCare treatment
- Do not use the appliance without consulting your doctor rst
if you suffer from severe diseases such as heart disease,
acute inammatory diseases, thrombosis, blood coagulation disorders,
adrenal suppression, systemic lupus erythematous or malignant diseases.
- Do not use the appliance if you are oversensitive to infrared light or if
you have oedema. If in doubt, consult your doctor.
- Do not use the appliance if you are insensitive to infrared radiation and
heat due to a disease (e.g. advanced diabetes) or the use of painkillers.
If in doubt, consult your doctor.
- Do not use the appliance if you suffer from conditions associated with
nerve demyelinisation such as carpal tunnel syndrome, multiple sclerosis
and ulnar neuropathy. If in doubt, consult your doctor.
- Do not use the appliance if you have an implanted device,
particularly not if it is located in the vicinity of the treatment area.
If in doubt, consult your doctor.
- If you are pregnant, do not use the appliance to treat areas close to
your abdomen or your lower back area, to avoid overheating of these
areas. If in doubt, consult your doctor.
- Do not use the appliance if you have a swelling or an inammation,
as heat could aggravate the complaints. If in doubt, consult your doctor.

- Do not use the appliance on damaged or irritated skin or on wounds.
If in doubt, consult your doctor.
- Do not use the appliance to treat areas on which you have recently
applied topical counterirritants (creams or ointments containing e.g.
menthol), as this can cause a mild inammatory reaction.
Caution
- If the wall socket used to power the appliance has poor connections,
the plug of the appliance becomes hot. Make sure you plug the
appliance into a properly connected wall socket.
- Do not subject the appliance to heavy shocks.
- Always unplug the appliance after use and in case of a power failure.
- Place the appliance on a stable, level surface. Make sure there is at least
35cm free space around it to prevent overheating.
- Do not use the appliance at room temperatures lower than
10°C or higher than 35°C.
- Make sure the vents in the back of the appliance remain open during use.
- The appliance is equipped with an automatic protection against
overheating. If the appliance is insufciently cooled (e.g. because the
cooling vents are covered), the appliance switches off automatically.
Unplug the appliance and remove the cause of overheating.
Once the appliance has cooled down, it can be switched on again.
To do so, plug the appliance in again and press the on/off switch.
- To avoid getting your ngers stuck when you adjust the height,
hold the lamp housing by one of the handgrips or by the hinge as long
as the height adjustment rings are unlocked.
- Let the appliance cool down for approx. 15 minutes before you clean
or store it.
- Never use the appliance when the lter is damaged, broken or missing.
- If you have just been swimming or have just taken a shower,
make sure you dry your skin properly before you use this appliance.
Electromagnetic elds (EMF)
This Philips appliance complies with all applicable standards and regulations regarding exposure to
electromagnetic elds.

Using the appliance
The effects of the InfraCare
The InfraCare produces infrared light, which penetrates deeply into the skin and warms the tissues.
The warmth modulates the neuronal signals to the brain and thus reduces pain. Warmth also
stimulates the blood circulation and dilates the blood vessels, which accelerates the transport of
substances necessary to rebuild and nourish the body’s tissues. Furthermore, infrared light speeds up
the metabolic process and the removal of waste substances from the body. Because it makes tissue
more pliable, warmth also reduces stiffness and makes joints more exible.
Because of these effects, treatment with the InfraCare can temporarily relieve pain due to muscle
and joint problems.
Note: Please read the ‘Warning’ section in chapter ‘Important’ and follow the instructions given there
before you use the appliance.
Applications
Therapeutic applications
The InfraCare is a local warmth therapy appliance. Possible therapeutic applications:
- Treatment of occasional or chronic muscle pains, stiff muscles and stiff joints.
- Treatment of lower-back ache.
Other applications
You can also use the InfraCare for the following purposes:
- Muscle relaxation
- Preparation for a massage

Preparing for use
1 Place the pedestal on a stable, level surface (Fig. 6).
2 Insert the pedestal tube into the pedestal until it locks into place (Fig. 7).
Note: There is only one way to attach the tube to the pedestal.
3 Attach the lamp housing to the top of the pedestal tube (Fig. 8).
To make sure all parts are properly assembled, check if the spring-loaded lock buttons are visible
in the holes. (See gure 1).
4 Make sure there is at least 35cm free space around the appliance to prevent
overheating (Fig. 9).
Thanks to the pedestal, you can use the appliance in many different positions. Below you nd
some examples.
- To treat your back from shoulders to hips, place the appliance beside a bed, with the lamp
housing in highest position and tilted down. Lie down comfortably on your belly (Fig. 10).
- To treat your back, place the appliance beside a bed, with the lamp housing in lowest position.
Lie down comfortably on one side (Fig. 11).
- To treat your upper back and shoulders, place the appliance behind a chair or other seat,
with the lamp housing in horizontal position. Sit down comfortably with your back towards the
appliance (Fig. 12).
- To treat your back, place the appliance beside a chair or stool, with the lamp housing in vertical
position. Sit down comfortably with your back towards the appliance (Fig. 13).
Tip: Small persons who want to treat their lower back while sitting on a chair can put their feet on a low
footstool for more comfort.
Tip: Tall persons who want to treat their lower back can lie down on a bed with their back towards the appliance.

- To treat your hip and upper leg, place the appliance beside a chair, with the lamp housing in
horizontal position. Sit down comfortably on a chair or stool (Fig. 14).
5 Adjust the lamp housing.
To avoid getting your ngers stuck when you adjust the height, hold the lamp housing by one of
the handgrips or by the hinge as long as the height adjustment rings are unlocked.
Note: The pedestal tube consists of three parts and two height adjustment rings. You can adjust the
height with both rings.
- To adjust the height of the InfraCare, hold the lamp housing by one of the handgrips or the
hinge with one hand while you turn the height adjustment rings with the other hand.
- Turn the height adjustment ring anticlockwise until the ‘unlocked’ symbol is visible through the hole
in the ring (1). Then pull up the lamp housing or push it down to the desired height (2) (Fig. 15).
- When you have set the lamp housing to the desired height, turn the height adjustment ring
clockwise until the ‘locked’ symbol is visible through the hole in the ring. The height adjustment
ring is now locked and the height of the lamp housing is xed (Fig. 16).
- To tilt the lamp housing upwards or downwards, grasp it by its handgrips and move it to the
desired position (Fig. 17).
- To put the lamp housing in vertical or horizontal position, grasp it by its handgrips and turn it to
the required position (Fig. 18).
- Make sure the pedestal base is horizontal (Fig. 19).
6 Sit or lie down at the right distance from the appliance.
- At a distance of 40-50cm to the body, the InfraCare treats an area of about 40cm by 60cm.
At a larger distance, the area treated becomes larger and the infrared light and therefore the
heat less intense. At a smaller distance, the area treated is smaller and the infrared light and
therefore the heat more intense.
- Make sure the distance between your body and the appliance is large enough to prevent
accidental contact with the hot lter.
- Choose a distance at which the heat is comfortable and increase the distance if
the heat becomes too intense.
Note: The heat of the appliance does not reach its full intensity until several minutes after you switch on
the appliance. This does not mean, however, that the appliance is not effective during these rst minutes.
Duration of treatment
The duration of the treatment depends on the type of treatment and the person to be treated.
Treatment of a single muscle or joint should last approximately 15 minutes (17 minutes in Korea and
Taiwan). If necessary, the treatment can be repeated several times a day. A longer treatment time
than approximately 15 minutes (17 minutes in Korea and Taiwan) does not lead to better results.
You can repeat the course of several treatments a day on several consecutive days to get a result.
If there is no improvement after 6-8 treatments, stop using the appliance and consult your doctor.
For chronic problems, the appliance can be used for longer periods of time, as long as you follow
the instructions given in the ‘Warning’ section in chapter ‘Impor tant’.
Using the InfraCare
1 Put the mains plug in the wall socket.
2 Place the light in the right position and make sure there is enough free space around the light.
3 Set the on/off switch to ‘I’ to switch on the appliance (Fig. 20).
, The power-on light goes on (Fig. 21).
, The appliance stays on for approx. 15 minutes (17 minutes in Korea and Taiwan) and then
automatically switches off.
, If you want to use the InfraCare longer, simply press the on/off switch again.

Cleaning
Unplug the appliance and let it cool down for about 15 minutes before you clean it.
Never use scouring pads, abrasive cleaning agents or aggressive liquids such as petrol or acetone
to clean the appliance.
1 Clean the lamp housing, the pedestal and the tube with a moist cloth. Do not let any water
run into the appliance.
2 You can clean the outside of the lter with a soft cloth sprinkled with some methylated spirits.
Storage
1 Unplug the appliance and let it cool down for about 15 minutes before you store it.
2 Turn the height adjustment ring anticlockwise to unlock it (1) and push the lamp housing
down to its lowest position (2) (Fig. 15).
3 Turn the ring clockwise to x the lamp housing at this height (Fig. 16).
- When you lift or carry the appliance, always make sure the lamp housing is in the lowest
position. Also make sure that you grab one of the handgrips or the hinge of the lamp housing
with one hand and the pedestal tube with the other hand (Fig. 22).
To prevent unintentional unlocking of the height adjustment rings, do not put your hand on
a height adjustment ring while you carry or lift the appliance.
4 Store the InfraCare in a dry place.
Replacement
Filter
The lter protects against exposure to undesired light.
If the lter is damaged or broken, do not use the appliance anymore. Contact the Philips
Consumer Care Centre for information.
Lamp
The effectiveness of the lamp does not diminish in the course of time.
The infrared halogen lamp has a lifetime of approx. 500 hours. If the lamp stops functioning, do not
attempt to replace it yourself, but have it replaced by a service centre authorised by Philips. Only they
have the knowledge and the skills required for this job and the original spare parts for the appliance.
Mains cord
If the mains cord is damaged, you must have it replaced by Philips, a service centre authorised by
Philips or similarly qualied persons in order to avoid a hazard.
Environment
- Do not throw away the appliance with the normal household waste at the end of its life,
but hand it in at an ofcial collection point for recycling. By doing this, you help to preserve the
environment (Fig. 23).

- Achten Sie darauf, dass die behandelte Körperpartie nach der
Anwendung nicht zu schnell auskühlt.
- Stellt sich nach 6-8 Anwendungen keine Linderung der Beschwerden
ein, benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht weiter und konsultieren Sie Ihren Arzt.
Wichtige Hinweise für die Behandlung mit InfraCare
- Konsultieren Sie vor Gebrauch des Geräts zunächst Ihren Arzt, wenn Sie
an schweren Erkrankungen wie zum Beispiel Herzerkrankungen,
akuten Entzündungen, Thrombose, Blutgerinnungsstörungen,
Nebennierenerkrankungen, systemischem Lupus erythematodes oder
anderen bösartigen Krankheiten leiden.
- Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht, wenn Sie überempndlich auf Infrarotlicht
reagieren oder wenn Sie ein Ödem haben. Konsultieren Sie im
Zweifelsfall Ihren Arzt.
- Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht, wenn Sie aufgrund einer Krankheit
(z. B. fortgeschrittener Diabetes) oder der Einnahme von
Schmerzmitteln unempndlich gegenüber infraroter Bestrahlung und
Wärme sind. Konsultieren Sie im Zweifelsfall Ihren Arzt.
- Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht, wenn Sie an einer demyelinisierenden
Erkrankung leiden wie z. B. dem Karpaltunnelsyndrom, an multipler Sklerose
oder am Nervus ulnaris Syndrom. Konsultieren Sie im Zweifelsfall Ihren Arzt.

- Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht, wenn Sie Träger eines Implantats sind,
besonders, wenn sich dieses im Bereich der zu behandelnden
Körperpar tie bendet. Konsultieren Sie im Zweifelsfall Ihren Arzt.
- Wenn Sie schwanger sind, benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht in der Nähe Ihres
Unterleibs oder Ihres unteren Rückens, um Überhitzungen in diesen
Bereichen zu vermeiden. Konsultieren Sie im Zweifelsfall Ihren Arzt.
- Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht bei Schwellungen oder Entzündungen,
da Wärme die Beschwerden verstärken kann. Konsultieren Sie im
Zweifelsfall Ihren Arzt.
- Verwenden Sie das Gerät nicht auf Wunden, verletzter oder gereizter
Haut. Konsultieren Sie im Zweifelsfall Ihren Arzt.
- Verwenden Sie das Gerät nicht in Bereichen, die Sie kürzlich mit
Gegenreizmitteln äußerlich behandelt haben (Cremes oder Salben, die z. B.
Menthol enthalten), da diese eine leichte Entzündung verursachen können.
Achtung
- Bei fehlerhafter Verkabelung der Steckdose, an der das Gerät betrieben
wird, erhitzt sich der Stecker. Achten Sie darauf, dass Sie das Gerät an
einer ordnungsgemäß verkabelten Steckdose anschließen.
- Das Gerät darf keinen harten Stößen ausgesetzt werden.
- Ziehen Sie nach jedem Gebrauch und auch bei Stromausfall den
Netzstecker aus der Steckdose.
- Stellen Sie das Gerät auf eine stabile, ebene und waagerechte Fläche.
Halten Sie um das Gerät herum mindestens 35 cm Platz frei,
um eine Überhitzung zu vermeiden.
- Verwenden Sie das Gerät nicht bei Zimmertemperaturen unter
10° C oder über 35° C.
- Die Lüftungsschlitze an der Rückseite des Geräts dürfen während des
Gebrauchs nicht abgedeckt werden.
- Das Gerät ist mit einem automatischen Überhitzungsschutz ausgestattet.
Wird es nicht ausreichend gekühlt (z. B. weil die Lüftungsschlitze abgedeckt
sind), schaltet es sich automatisch aus. Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker aus der
Steckdose und beseitigen Sie die Überhitzungsursache. Sobald das Gerät
abgekühlt ist, kann es wieder eingeschaltet werden. Stecken Sie dazu den
Netzstecker wieder in die Steckdose und drücken Sie den Ein-/Ausschalter.
- Um zu vermeiden dass Sie Ihre Finger bei der Höheneinstellung
einklemmen, halten Sie das Lampengehäuse an einem Handgriff oder
am Gelenk fest, solange die Ringe zur Höheneinstellung entsichert sind.
- Lassen Sie das Gerät ca. 15 Minuten lang abkühlen, bevor Sie es reinigen
oder wegräumen.

- Verwenden Sie das Gerät keinesfalls, wenn der Filter beschädigt oder
zerbrochen ist oder ganz fehlt.
- Trocknen Sie sich unmittelbar nach dem Schwimmen oder Duschen
gründlich ab, bevor Sie das Gerät benutzen.
Elektromagnetische Felder
Dieses Philips Gerät erfüllt sämtliche Normen und Regelungen bezüglich der Exposition in
elektromagnetischen Feldern.
Das Gerät benutzen
Die Wirkung von InfraCare
InfraCare erzeugt Infrarotlicht, das tief in die Hautschichten eindringt und das Körpergewebe wärmt.
Wärme verändert die neuronalen Signale an das Gehirn positiv und reduziert somit das
Schmerzempnden. Außerdem regt Wärme die Blutzirkulation an und erweitert die Blutgefäße,
wodurch der Transport der für die Regeneration und Versorgung des Körpergewebes benötigten
Nährstoffe beschleunigt wird. Infrarotlicht regt zudem den Stoffwechsel an und sorgt für schnelleres
Entschlacken des Körpers. Da Wärme das Körpergewebe exibler macht, wirkt sie sich positiv auf
die allgemeine Beweglichkeit aus und verschafft Linderung bei steifen Gelenken.
Aufgrund dieser positiven Wirkung kann InfraCare zweitweise durch Muskel- und
Gelenkbeschwerden verursachte Schmerzen lindern.
Hinweis: Lesen Sie den Abschnitt “Warnhinweis” im Kapitel “Wichtig”, und folgen Sie den dort
enthaltenen Anweisungen, bevor Sie das Gerät benutzen.

Therapeutische Anwendungsmöglichkeiten
InfraCare ist ein Gerät für die lokale Wärmetherapie. Mögliche therapeutische
Anwendungsmöglichkeiten:
- Behandlung bei gelegentlich auftretenden oder chronischen Muskelschmerzen,
steifen Muskeln und steifen Gelenken.
- Behandlung von Schmerzen im Bereich der Lendenwirbelsäule.
Weitere Anwendungsmöglichkeiten
Sie können InfraCare auch für folgende Zwecke benutzen:
- Muskelentspannung
- Vorbereitung auf eine Massage

Für den Gebrauch vorbereiten
1 Stellen Sie den Sockel auf eine stabile, ebene Fläche (Abb. 6).
2 Setzen Sie das Stativrohr in den Sockel, bis es mit einem Klicken einrastet (Abb. 7).
Hinweis: Das Stativrohr lässt sich nur in einer Richtung in den Sockel einsetzen.
3 Befestigen Sie das Lampengehäuse auf dem Stativ (Abb. 8).
Zum Überprüfen der korrekten Montage aller Teile kontrollieren Sie, ob die Federtasten in den
Löchern sichtbar sind (siehe Abb. 1).
4 Halten Sie um das Gerät herum mindestens 35 cm Platz frei, um eine Überhitzung zu
vermeiden (Abb. 9).

Das Stativ ermöglicht das Einstellen des Geräts in viele unterschiedliche Positionen.
Nachstehend einige Beispiele.
- Um den gesamten Rücken von den Schultern bis zur Hüfte zu behandeln, stellen Sie das Gerät
neben ein Bett. Das Lampengehäuse sollte sich in der höchsten Position benden und nach
unten geneigt sein. Legen Sie sich ganz bequem auf den Bauch (Abb. 10).
- Um den Rücken zu behandeln, stellen Sie das Gerät neben ein Bett. Das Lampengehäuse sollte
sich in der niedrigsten Position benden. Legen Sie sich ganz bequem auf eine Seite (Abb. 11).
- Zur Behandlung des oberen Rückenbereichs und der Schultern stellen Sie das Gerät hinter
einen Stuhl oder eine andere Sitzgelegenheit - mit dem Lampengehäuse in waagerechter
Position. Setzen Sie sich bequem mit dem Rücken zum Gerät auf den Stuhl (Abb. 12).
- Zur Rückenbehandlung stellen Sie das Gerät neben einen Stuhl oder Hocker - mit dem
Lampengehäuse in senkrechter Position. Setzen Sie sich bequem mit dem Rücken zum Gerät auf den
Stuhl (Abb. 13).
Tipp: Sehr kleine Benutzer, die den unteren Rückenbereich auf einem Stuhl sitzend behandeln möchten,
können ihre Füße für mehr Komfort auf eine Fußbank stellen.
Tipp: Sehr große Benutzer, die den unteren Rückenbereich behandeln möchten, legen sich mit dem
Rücken zum Gerät auf das Bett.
- Um Hüften und Oberschenkel zu behandeln, stellen Sie das Gerät neben einen Stuhl - mit dem
Lampengehäuse in waagerechter Position. Setzen Sie sich bequem auf den Stuhl (Abb. 14).
5 Passen Sie das Lampengehäuse an.
Um zu vermeiden dass Sie Ihre Finger bei der Höheneinstellung einklemmen, halten Sie das
Lampengehäuse an einem Handgriff oder am Gelenk fest, solange die Ringe zur Höheneinstellung
entsichert sind.
Hinweis: Das Stativ besteht aus drei Rohrabschnitten und zwei Ringen zur Höheneinstellung.
Sie können die Höhe mit beiden Ringen einstellen.
- Zur Höheneinstellung des InfraCare halten Sie das Lampengehäuse am Handgriff bzw. am
Gelenk mit einer Hand fest und drehen mit der anderen Hand die Ringe zur Höheneinstellung.
- Drehen Sie den Ring zur Höheneinstellung gegen den Uhrzeigersinn, bis das Symbol für die
Entsicherung durch die Öffnung im Ring sichtbar ist (1). Ziehen Sie anschließend das
Lampengehäuse nach oben bzw. drücken Sie es nach unten, bis es sich auf der gewünschten
Höhe bendet (2) (Abb. 15).
- Wenn das Lampengehäuse die gewünschte Höhe hat, drehen Sie den Ring zur Höheneinstellung
im Uhrzeigersinn, bis durch die Öffnung im Ring das Symbol für die Sicherung sichtbar wird.
Der Ring zur Höheneinstellung ist nun gesichert und die Höhe des Lampengehäuses xiert (Abb. 16).
- Zum Neigen des Lampengehäuses nach oben oder unten halten Sie es an den Handgriffen fest
und bewegen es in die gewünschte Position (Abb. 17).
- Um das Lampengehäuse in senkrechte oder waagerechte Position zu bringen, halten Sie es an
den Handgriffen fest und bewegen es in die gewünschte Position (Abb. 18).
- Achten Sie darauf, dass der Gerätesockel waagerecht steht (Abb. 19).
6 Setzen bzw. legen Sie sich immer im richtigen Abstand vor das Gerät.
- In einem Abstand von 40 - 50 cm zum Körper behandelt InfraCare einen Bereich von
ca. 40 cm x 60 cm. Je größer der Abstand, desto größer wird die Behandlungsäche und geringer
wird die Wärmeintensität. Bei geringerem Abstand ist der Behandlungsbereich kleiner,
das Infrarotlicht und damit die Wärme jedoch intensiver.
- Achten Sie darauf, dass der Abstand zwischen Ihrem Körper und dem Gerät groß genug ist,
um einen versehentlichen Kontakt mit dem heißen Filter zu vermeiden.
- Wählen Sie eine Entfernung, aus der die Wärme angenehm ist, und erhöhen
Sie die Entfernung, wenn es Ihnen zu warm wird.
Hinweis: Das Gerät erreicht erst einige Minuten nach dem Einschalten seine volle Wärmeintensität.
Das bedeutet jedoch nicht, dass es in den ersten Minuten weniger wirksam ist.

Anwendungsdauer
Die Dauer der Behandlung hängt von der Person und der jeweiligen Anwendung ab.
Die Behandlung eines einzelnen Muskels oder Gelenks sollte ungefähr 15 Minuten dauern
(in Korea und Taiwan 17 Minuten) und kann bei Bedarf mehrmals am Tag wiederholt werden.
Eine längere Behandlungsdauer als ca. 15 Minuten (in Korea und Taiwan 17 Minuten) führt nicht zu
besseren Ergebnissen. Sie können einen Zyklus von mehreren Behandlungen pro Tag mehrere Tage
hintereinander durchführen, um ein Ergebnis zu erzielen. Stellt sich nach 6 bis 8 Anwendungen keine
Linderung der Beschwerden ein, benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht weiter, und konsultieren Sie Ihren
Arzt. Bei chronischen Beschwerden können Sie das Gerät auch für längere Zeitspannen verwenden,
solange Sie den Anweisungen im Abschnitt “Warnung” im Kapitel “Wichtig” folgen.
InfraCare benutzen
1 Stecken Sie den Netzstecker in eine Steckdose.
2 Stellen Sie das Licht in die richtige Position, und stellen Sie sicher, dass ausreichend freier
Platz um das Licht vorhanden ist.
3 Stellen Sie den Ein-/Ausschalter auf die Position “I”, um das Gerät einzuschalten (Abb. 20).
, Die Betriebsanzeige leuchtet auf (Abb. 21).
, Das Gerät bleibt ca. 15 Minuten eingeschaltet (in Korea und Taiwan 17 Minuten) und schaltet
sich anschließend automatisch aus.
, Möchten Sie das InfraCare länger benutzen, drücken Sie einfach erneut auf den Ein-/Ausschalter.
Pege
Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker, und lassen Sie das Gerät ca. 15 Minuten lang abkühlen, bevor Sie
es reinigen.
Benutzen Sie zum Reinigen des Geräts keine Scheuerschwämme und -mittel oder aggressive
Flüssigkeiten wie Benzin oder Azeton.
1 Reinigen Sie Lampengehäuse, Sockel und Stativrohr mit einem feuchten Tuch.
Achten Sie darauf, dass kein Wasser in das Gerät gelangt.
2 Die Außenseite des Filters können Sie mit einem weichen Tuch reinigen, auf das Sie etwas
Spiritus gegeben haben.
Aufbewahrung
1 Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker, und lassen Sie das Gerät ca. 15 Minuten lang abkühlen,
bevor Sie es wegräumen.
2 Drehen Sie den Ring zur Höheneinstellung gegen den Uhrzeigersinn, um ihn zu entsichern
(1), und drücken Sie das Lampengehäuse nach unten in die unterste Position (2) (Abb. 15).
3 Drehen Sie den Ring im Uhrzeigersinn, um das Lampengehäuse in dieser Position zu
sichern (Abb. 16).
- Achten Sie beim Anheben bzw. Transport des Geräts immer darauf, dass sich das
Lampengehäuse in der niedrigsten Position bendet. Halten Sie einen der Handgriffe
bzw. das Gelenk des Lampengehäuses mit einer Hand und das Stativrohr mit der anderen
Hand fest (Abb. 22).
Um ein unbeabsichtigtes Entsichern der Ringe zur Höheneinstellung zu vermeiden, berühren Sie
beim Anheben bzw. Transport des Geräts nicht die Ringe zur Höheneinstellung.
4 Bewahren Sie das InfraCare-Gerät an einem trockenen Ort auf.

Ersatz
Filter
Der Filter schützt vor unerwünschter Lichteinstrahlung.
Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht bei beschädigtem oder zerbrochenem Filter. Kontaktieren Sie das
Philips Service-Center, dort erhalten Sie weitere Informationen.
Lampe
Die Lampe verliert im Laufe der Zeit nicht an Wirksamkeit.
Die Infrarot-Halogenlampe hat eine Lebensdauer von ca. 500 Stunden. Funktionier t die Lampe
nicht mehr, versuchen Sie nicht, diese selbst auszuwechseln, sondern wenden Sie sich an ein Philips
Service-Center. Nur dann ist sichergestellt, dass der Austausch der Lampe fachgerecht und mit
Original-Ersatzteilen ausgeführ t wird.
Netzkabel
Um Gefährdungen zu vermeiden, darf ein defektes Netzkabel nur von einem Philips Service-Center,
einer von Philips autorisierten Werkstatt oder einer ähnlich qualizierten Person durch ein
Original-Ersatzkabel ersetzt werden.
Umwelt
- Geben Sie das Gerät am Ende der Lebensdauer nicht in den normalen Hausmüll. Bringen Sie es
zum Recycling zu einer ofziellen Sammelstelle. Auf diese Weise tragen Sie zum Umweltschutz
bei (Abb. 23).

Fehlerbehebung
