TRANSMISSION
The dutch is composed of two
principal parts

centrifugal clutch which engages automatically
when
the
Moped attains 9 speed of 3, 7

clutch plate engages automatically 2,500 rpm.
The primary
transmission
conststs of a
drive belt running
between
the
pulley
wheels
on the
drive shaft and the
bottom
bracket axfe. Ihe secondary
transmission conststs of a chain
which runs
from
the
bottom bracket
axle
{fixed sprocket
attached) to the sprocket of the
rear wheel in a manner similar to
that of a bicycle.
Automatic gear change: The

an
automa-
tic gear change. For this purpose, the pulley wheel on the
drive
shaft

engine itself is
mounted
on an axle
so
that ii can pivot
backward
to accomodate
the expansion
of the
"extensible"
pulley wheel. The extensible pulley {Fig. 2 and

the
targe bottom bracket pulley.

spring-
mounted
on
its
axle m

to
maintain a proper tension on
the
