Nomenclature of parts

Principal materials: aluminum alloy and nylon.

Inspection, points to verify

Before each use, make sure the body, the gate, the axle
and the groove of the sheave are free of any cracks,
gouging, deformation, corrosion, excessive wear, etc. The
sheave must turn freely. Verify the gate closes properly.
Consult the details of the inspection procedure to be
carried out for each item of PPE on the Web at www.petzl.
com/ppe or on the PETZL PPE CD-ROM.
Contact PETZL if there is any doubt about the condition
of the device.

Instructions for use

WARNINGS

- Maximum allowable speed: 2 m/second.

- When moving on the cable, you must always use a
system with a rope and braking device (descender, belay
device) to control the rate of speed. A collision with an
obstacle can result in serious injury or death.

- While on the cable, you must always be self-belayed by
means of a safety lanyard on the cable, placed uphill of
the roller.

- CAUTION: avoid getting fi ngers or hair caught between
the roller and the cable.

Installation

1. First put your safety lanyard on the carrier cable.

2. Connect the roller to the harness attachment point
ventral or sternal using a lanyard and connectors.

3. Put the roller onto the carrier cable, downhill of the
safety lanyard.

4. Check that the roller gate is closed.

5. When suspending yourself from the roller, make sure
it is correctly positioned on the cable, with the cable in
contact with the groove of the sheave and make sure the
connectors are correctly positioned on their attachment
points. WARNING, the carabiner must always be used
with the gate closed and locked. Nothing must obstruct
the carabiner: any external pressure or constraint reduces
its strength.

Mode d’emploi

AVERTISSEMENTS

- Vitesse maximum autorisée : 2 m/seconde.

- Lors de la progression sur le câble, vous devez toujours
vous faire assurer et freiner (contrôle de la vitesse) par
une corde à l’aide d’un appareil de freinage (descendeur,
assureur). Une collision dans un obstacle peut provoquer
des blessures graves, voire mortelles.

- Vous devez toujours vous contre-assurer sur le câble par
une longe de sécurité placée en amont de la roulette.

- ATTENTION à ne pas vous coïncer les doigts ou les
cheveux entre la roulette et le câble.

Mise en place

1. Fixez d’abord votre longe de sécurité sur le câble
porteur.

2. Fixez La ROLLCAB sur le point d’attache ventral ou
sternal du harnais avec une longe et des connecteurs.

3. Placez la ROLLCAB sur le câble porteur en aval de la
longe de sécurité.

4. Vérifi ez la fermeture du doigt de la roulette.

5. Quand vous vous mettez en tension, veillez à la bonne
position de la roulette sur le câble, (câble en place
dans la gorge du réa) et veillez à la bonne position des
connecteurs dans les points d’attache. ATTENTION,
le mousqueton doit toujours s’utiliser doigt fermé et
verrouillé. Rien ne doit gêner le mousqueton : toute
contrainte ou appui extérieur réduit sa résistance.

Zu kontrollierende Punkte

Stellen Sie vor jeder Verwendung sicher, dass der
Körper, der Schnapper, die Achse und der Seildurchlauf
der Seilscheibe keine Risse, Furchen, Verformungen,
Korrosions- oder starke Abnutzungserscheinungen
usw. aufweisen. Die Seilscheibe muss sich ungehindert
drehen können. Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Schnapper
ordnungsgemäß schließt.

Gebrauchsanleitung

WARNHINWEISE

- Maximal erlaubte Geschwindigkeit: 2 m/sek.

- Bei der Fortbewegung am Drahtseil müssen Sie stets
ein System mit einem Seil und einem Bremsgerät
(Abseilgerät, Sicherungs) verwenden, um die
Geschwindigkeit zu steuern. Ein Zusammenstoß mit einem
Hindernis kann zu schweren Verletzungen oder sogar Tod
führen.

- Am Drahtseil müssen Sie sich stets mit einem
Sicherheitsverbindungsmittel, das oberhalb der Rolle
angebracht ist, selbst sichern.

- ACHTUNG: Achten Sie darauf, dass sie nicht die Finger
oder die Haare zwischen Rolle und Drahtseil einklemmen.

Installation

1. Hängen Sie zunächst Ihr Sicherheitsverbindungsmittel
am Drahtseil ein.

2. Verbinden Sie die Rolle mit der vorder- oder
rückseitigen Halteöse des Haltegurts. Im letzteren
Fall benötigen Sie ein Verbindungsmittel und
Verbindungselemente.

3. Installieren Sie die ROLLCAB unterhalb des Sicherheits
verbindungsmittels am Drahtseil.

4. Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Schnapper der ROLLCAB
vollständig geschlossen ist.

5. Bevor Sie sich frei an die ROLLCAB hängen, stellen
Sie sicher, dass sie ordnungsgemäß auf dem Drahtseil
aufl iegt (das Drahtseil muss durch den Seildurchlauf in
der Seilscheibe laufen).
Belasten Sie die ROLLCAB vorsichtig und nicht ruckartig,
um das Risiko einer Querbelastung des Karabiners zu
vermindern.
Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Verbindungselemente richtig in
ihren Befestigungsösen ausgerichtet sind. ACHTUNG: Der
Karabiner darf nur mit geschlossenem und verriegeltem
Schnapper verwendet werden. Der Karabiner darf
auf keinen Fall behindert werden. Jeder Widerstand,
Verklemmen, Querbelastung oder Druck von außen
vermindern seine Festigkeit.
