The user, prior to installation, must become familiar with all building codes that may affect the installation of the pet door and determine, along with a licensed contractor, its suitabilit y in a given installation. This pet door is not a ﬁre door. It is important for the owner and contractor to consider any risks that may be present inside or outside of the pet door, and any risks that may be created by subsequent changes to your property and how they may relate to the existence and use, including misuse of the pet door.

• If cutting a metal surface, be aware of sharp edges to prevent injury.

• Working with glass is a skilled job and should be carried out by a professional glazier. It is not possible to cut holes in toughened glass or double glazed units except at the time of manufacture. Please consult a glazier.

• Keep these instructions with important papers; be sure to transfer these instructions to the new owner of the propert y.

• Please read these instructions fully prior to forming or modifying an opening in your selected door or wall. We strongly recommend that your microchip cat ﬂap is programmed for your cat and a check made that it works with the microchip in your cat ﬁrst.

• This unit only operates properly when outside temperatures are greater than -25° C and less than 55° C.

Programming Cats into the PetSafe® Microchip Cat Flap

Your PetSafe® Microchip Cat Flap is designed to work with most 15-digit microchips (FDX-B) used for pets. Before you begin setup or installation of the cat ﬂap, please ensure your cat has the correct type of microchip.

To begin operation, the cat ﬂap must learn the unique microchip Identiﬁcation Number (ID) of your cat. Please follow the steps below to begin the setup of your cat ﬂap:

1. The cat ﬂap will be factory pre-set in the locked position. Ensure the manual lock is set to the In and Out position (See Fig.H).

2. Remove the battery cover, set aside the provided hardware pack, and install 4 alkaline AA batteries (LR6). The green LED light will ﬂash three (3) times which indicates that the cat ﬂap is in Automatic Mode.

3. To enter Learn Mode, press and hold the button until the red LED light appears (about 5 seconds). You will have 60 seconds to position the cat’s head in the tunnel to learn the microchip ID. Once the cat ﬂap has learned the microchip ID, it will unlatch and the red LED will turn off. The cat ﬂap will stay in Automatic Mode and will re-latch after 3 seconds.

4. After successfully learning the cat’s microchip ID, you will be ready to install the cat ﬂap into your door.

Note: To learn more than one cat, please follow the same steps starting with step No. 3. The microchip cat ﬂap can store up to 40 microchipped cats. Replace the battery cover when the process is complete for all cats.

Helpful Tip: Program your cat’s microchip ID before installation to prevent having to hold your cat in the cat ﬂap once it is installed. If you are

having trouble programming your cat’s microchip ID, please ensure that their head is extended into the tunnel or they pass all the way through the cat ﬂap. You should hear the cat ﬂap unlatch once it has learned your cat’s microchip ID.

3. Using a jig or key-hole saw, cut along the dashed line as indiated on the Cutting Template. (Fig. D).

4. Temporarily place both frames into the cutout. Level the cat ﬂap until it is in the proper position. On the outside, use a pencil to mark screw holes through the holes on the exterior frame (Fig. E). Remove the cat ﬂap and drill the screw holes with a 6mm drill (Fig. F).

5. Clean the area from any dust, dirt or debris.

6. Place the interior frame (with attached tunnel) into the hole from the inside. Align the exterior frame to the outside of the door. Three (3) different lengths of screws have been provided with this cat ﬂap. Select the appropriate length. Using a manual screw driver, screw the exterior frame through the holes in your door to the interior frame.

Important: Do not cut the tunnel. Key

components are contained within the tunnel and any alteration to the tunnel will affect functionality.

7. When the installation of the cat ﬂap is completed, place the two blanking plugs over the screws on the exterior frame. The cat ﬂap is ready to use (Fig. G).

Installation – Metal or Metal Core Doors

Installation of the cat ﬂap into a metal door or a door with a metal core plate will require some modiﬁcations. The presence of metal can interfere with the performance of the cat ﬂap including a reduction in read range of the microchip. If you experience poor performance you may need to purchase and install an Installation Adaptor and follow the instructions in the Installation – Glass Doors or Windows section of this guide.

The PetSafe® Microchip Cat Flap is suitable to ﬁt most doors or partitions although additional materials and competent DIY skills may be required. This cat ﬂap is designed to adapt easily to cut-out sizes for Staywell® 200, 300, 400, 500, 900 and Petporte smartﬂap® series cat ﬂaps. Some simple DIY skills are required and minor adjustments to the cut-out or additional accessories might be needed.

Installation – Measurement and Marking

Measure the belly height of your cat. This is usually 100 mm –150 mm (Fig. A).

Mark this measurement on the outside of your door and draw a straight horizontal line 168 mm long (Fig. B).

Please keep in mind that this horizontal line will eventually be the bottom of the hole you will cut in your door. The frame of the cat ﬂap will be 25 mm lower. If necessary, this line may have to be raised slightly to account for some door designs.

Installation – Wooden, PVC, or uPVC Doors

Before beginning, please check if your door has a metal core. If a metal core or metal plate is found, please refer to the Installation Metal and Metal Core Doors section of this guide (on the next page).

1. Attach the supplied Cutting Template to the outside of your door in the correct position ensuring that it is the right way up and level (Fig. C).

2. Drill four corner holes with a 12 mm diameter drill bit as marked on the Cutting Template through the door. Please ensure the drill remains straight and level.

Installation – Glass Doors or Windows

The PetSafe® Microchip Cat Flap is also designed for installation into glass and requires a circular hole with a diameter of 212 mm and an Installation Adaptor (sold separately). Your glazier will need to cut a circular hole of diameter 212 mm as per the cutting template. Once a glazier has cut the hole in your glass door or window please follow the instructions below for installation.

1. Slide one adaptor plate over the tunnel on the interior side of the frame of the cat ﬂap.

2. From the interior of home, install the cat ﬂap into opening.

3. From exterior of home, slide second adaptor over the tunnel of the cat ﬂap.

4. Install exterior frame of the cat ﬂap over the attached tunnel.

5. Using appropriate length screws, connect the interior and exterior frames of the cat ﬂap.

6. Insert blanking plugs (included).

Working with glass is a skilled job and should be carried

out by a professional glazier. It is not possible to cut holes in toughened glass or double glazed units except at the time of manufacture. Please consult a glazier.

Installation – Walls

For installation into walls, an Installation Adaptor and Tunnel Extensions must be purchased separately. Wall ﬁxing screws are not provided with this cat ﬂap as the type needed will vary greatly depending on your wall construction. Various ﬁxing types are available from hardware and D.I.Y. stores.

1. Ensure you have the correct number of Tunnel Extensions. The cat ﬂap is 72 mm in depth and each additional Tunnel Extension is 50 mm in depth.

2. For best ﬁt, we recommend using the PetSafe

Installation Adaptor for

wall installations.

3. Ensure the installation area is free from utility lines and that proper access is available for your cat.

4. Follow the instructions in the Installation – Wooden, PVC, or uPVC Doors

section (Steps 1-5) to cut the hole in your wall. Important: Ensure you allow proper clearance for the bottom of the Installation Adaptor.

5. Attach one adaptor plate to the interior frame of the cat ﬂap and attach the second adaptor plate to the exterior frame of the cat ﬂap, using the hardware provided. Set both frames aside.

6. Stack the Tunnel Extensions together using permanent glue and reinforce seams with weatherproof tape.

7. Temporarily place the interior frame of cat ﬂap into the wall cut-out. Use a pencil to mark the four screw holes. Remove interior frame of cat ﬂap and drill marked holes as is best suited for your wall construction.

8. Attach Tunnel Extensions to the interior frame with weatherproof tape, do not glue.

9. Install the interior frame of cat ﬂap and attach to the wall using appropriate hardware for your wall construction.

10. Temporarily place exterior frame of cat ﬂap into the wall cut-out. Use a pencil to mark the four screw holes. Remove exterior frame of cat ﬂap and drill marked holes as is best suited for your wall construction.

11. Install the exterior frame of cat ﬂap and attach to the wall using appropriate hardware your wall construction.

12. Install blanking plugs (included).

4-Way Manual Lock

The 4-Way Manual lock allows you to control your cat’s access in and out of your home in either direction. Until your pet is thoroughly familiar with using the cat ﬂap, it is a good idea to anly use the 4-Way Manual lock in the In or Out position only (Fig. H).

Australia/New Zealand – In compliance with the Australian Consumer Law, Warranties Against Defects, effective January 1, 2012, warranty details of this Product are as follows: Radio Systems Australia Pty Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Radio Systems”) warrants to the original retail purchaser, and not any other purchaser or subsequent owner, that its Product, when subject to normal and proper residential use, will be free from defects in material or workmanship for a period of three (3) years from the purchase date. An “original retail consumer purchaser” is a person or entity who originally purchases the Product, or a gift recipient of a new Product that is unopened and in its original packaging. Enregistrer des chats dans la chatière PetSafe® à puce électronique

Votre chatière PetSafe® à puce électronique est prévue pour fonctionner avec la majorité des puces à 15 chiffres (FDX-B) utilisées pour les animaux. Avant de commencer le paramétrage ou l'installation de la chatière, merci de vériﬁer que votre chat porte bien le bon type de puce électronique.

Pour commencer à fonctionner, la chatière doit connaître le numéro d’identiﬁcation unique (ID) de la puce électronique de votre chat. Merci de suivre les instructions ci-dessous pour commencer le paramétrage de votre chatière :

1. La chatière est pré-positionnée en usine en position verrouillée. Vériﬁez que

le verrou manuel est conﬁguré en position Entrée et Sortie (Voir Fig. H).

2. Retirer le cache des piles, mettre le paquet fourni de côté et installer 4 piles alcalines AA (LR6). La LED verte va clignoter trois (3) fois, indiquant que la chatière est en mode automatique.

3. Pour passer en mode apprentissage, maintenez le bouton enfoncé jusqu’à ce que la LED rouge s’allume (environ 5 secondes). Vous aurez 60 secondes pour positionner la tête du chat dans le tunnel pour enregistrer l’ID de la puce électronique. Une fois que la chatière a enregistré l’ID de la puce électronique, elle se débloque et la LED rouge s’éteint. La chatière reste en mode automatique et se referme au bout de 3 secondes.

4. Après avoir enregistré l’ID de la puce électronique du chat, vous serez en mesure d’installer la chatière sur votre porte.

Remarque : Pour enregistrer plus d’un chat, suivez les mêmes étapes à partir de l’étape n°3. La chatière à puce électronique peut enregistrer jusqu’à 40 chats équipés d’une puce électronique. Replacer le cache de piles lorsque le processus est terminé pour tous les chats.

Astuce utile : Programmez l’identiﬁant de la puce électronique de votre chat avant l’installation pour éviter d’avoir à maintenir votre chat dans la chatière après l’installation. Si vous avez des

difﬁcultés à programmer l’ID de la puce électronique de votre chat, vériﬁez que sa tête est en extension dans le tunnel ou qu’elle passe complètement au travers de la chatière. Vous devriez entendre la chatière se déverrouiller lorsqu’elle a enregistré l’ID de la puce électronique de votre chat.

3. Découpez le long de la ligne pointillée à l'aide d'une scie sauteuse ou d'une scie à guichet, comme indiqué sur le gabarit de découpe. (Fig. D).

4. Placez provisoirement les cadres dans l’ouverture. Mettez la porte de niveau jusqu’à ce qu’elle soit dans la bonne position. À l’extérieur, utilisez un crayon à papier pour marquer les trous des vis à travers les trous du cadre extérieur (Fig. E). Retirez la chatière et percez les trous des vis avec un foret de 6 mm (Fig. F).

5. Débarrassez la zone de toute poussière, salissure ou débris.

6. Placez le cadre intérieur (avec son tunnel) dans le trou depuis l’intérieur. Alignez le cadre extérieur à l’extérieur de la porte. Des vis de trios (3) longueurs différentes sont fournies avec cette chatière. Veuillez sélectionner la longueur appropriée. À l’aide d’un tournevis manuel, visser le cadre extérieur dans les trous de votre porte et dans le cadre intérieur.

Important : Ne pas découper le tunnel. Des

composants importants sont intégrés dans le tunnel et toute altération du tunnel affecterait le fonctionnement de la chatière.

7. Lorsque l'installation de la chatière est terminée, placez les deux caches sur les vis côté cadre extérieur. La chatière est prête à l'emploi (Fig. G).

Installation - portes métalliques et à renfort métallique

L’installation de la chatière dans une porte métallique ou une porte renforcée d’une plaque de métal demande quelques modiﬁcations. La présence d’une plaque métallique interfère avec les performances de la chatière, notamment en réduisant la portée de la puce électronique. Si vous constatez des performances insufﬁsantes, il est possible que vous deviez acheter et installer un Adaptateur d’installation, en suivant les instructions de la section Installation – Portes fenêtres ou fenêtres de ce guide.

La chatière à puce électronique PetSafe

est prévue pour s’adapter à la plupart des portes ou cloisons même si du matériel supplémentaire et des talents de bricoleurs peuvent s’avérer nécessaires. Cette chatière est conçue pour s’adapter facilement à la taille des découpes des Staywell

200, 300, 400, 500, 900 et à la série des chatières avec puce électronique smartﬂap®. Quelques talents de bricoleur de base sont nécessaires et il peut s’avérer nécessaire d’ajuster légèrement l’ouverture ou d’ajouter des accessoires supplémentaires.

Installation - Mesures et marquage

Mesurez la hauteur sous le ventre de votre chat. Cela se situe habituellement entre 100 mm et 150 mm (Fig. A).

Marquez cette hauteur du côté extérieur de votre porte et tracez une ligne horizontale de 168 mm de long (Fig. B).

Gardez à l’esprit que cette ligne horizontale correspondra au bas du trou que vous découperez dans votre porte. Le cadre de la chatière sera 25 mm plus bas. Si nécessaire cette ligne peut être légèrement rehaussée pour tenir compte de certains design de porte.

Installation - Portes en bois, PVC ou uPVC

Avant de commencer, vériﬁer si votre porte dispose d’une armature métallique. Si vous trouvez une armature métallique ou des renforts, reportez-vous à la section Installation pour portes métalliques et à cœur métallique du présent guide (sur la page suivante).

1. Fixez le gabarit de découpe fourni à l'extérieur de votre porte dans la position

adéquate en vériﬁant qu'il est dans le bon sens et de niveau (Fig. C)

2. Percez un trou au quatre coins de la porte avec un foret de 12 mm comme

indiqué sur le gabarit de découpe. Assurez-vous que le foret reste bien droit et de niveau.

1. Assurez-vous de disposer d’un nombre sufﬁsant d’Extensions de tunnel. La chatière est profonde de 72 mm, et chaque Extension de tunnel est profonde de 50 mm.

2. Pour un montage parfait, nous recommandons l’utilisation de l’Adaptateur d’installation pour montage sur un mur PetSafe

3. Assurez-vous que la zone où vous souhaitez installer la chatière est exempte de lignes électriques, de téléphone, ou de conduites quelconques, et que votre chat peut y accéder sans problème.

4. Suivez les instructions de la section Installation – Portes en bois, PVC ou uPVC (étapes 1 à 5) pour la découpe du trou dans votre mur. Important : Faites attention à laisser sufﬁsamment d’espace pour le bas de l’Adaptateur d’installation.

5. Fixez une plaque d’adaptateur au cadre intérieur de la chatière et ﬁxez la seconde plaque d’adaptateur au cadre extérieur de la chatière, à l’aide des éléments de ﬁxation fournis. Mettez les deux cadres de côté.

6. Fixez les Extensions de tunnel les unes aux autres à l’aide de colle forte et renforcez les jonctions avec de la bande adhésive résistant aux intempéries.

7. Placez temporairement le cadre intérieur de la chatière dans l’ouverture dans le mur. Marquez au crayon l’emplacement des quatre oriﬁces des vis. Retirez le cadre intérieur de la chatière et percez les trous marqués en employant la technique la plus adaptée à votre type de mur.

8. Fixez les Extensions de tunnel au cadre intérieur à l’aide de bande adhésive résistant aux intempéries - n’appliquez pas de colle.

9. Installez le cadre intérieur de la chatière sur le mur, et ﬁxez-le à l’aide des vis les plus adaptées à votre type de mur.

10. Placez temporairement le cadre extérieur de la chatière dans l’ouverture dans le mur. Marquez au crayon l’emplacement des quatre oriﬁces des vis. Retirez le cadre extérieur de la chatière et percez les trous marqués en employant la technique la plus adaptée à votre type de mur.

11. Installez le cadre extérieur de la chatière sur le mur, et ﬁxez-le à l’aide des vis les plus adaptées à votre type de mur.

12. Placez les bouchons de ﬁnition (fournis).

Installation - Portes fenêtres ou fenêtres

La Chatière à puce électronique PetSafe® est également conçue pour un support en verre, et nécessite un trou circulaire de 212 mm de diamètre et un Adaptateur d’installation (vendu séparément). Votre vitrier devra découper un trou circulaire de 212 mm de diamètre selon le gabarit de découpe. Une fois la découpe effectuée dans votre porte fenêtre ou votre fenêtre, veuillez suivre les instructions d’installation ci-dessous.

1. Faites glisser une plaque d’adaptateur sur le tunnel du côté intérieur du cadre de la chatière.

2. Depuis l’intérieur de la maison, installez la chatière dans l’ouverture.

3. Depuis l’extérieur de la maison, faites glisser le second adaptateur sur le tunnel de la chatière.

4. Installez le cadre extérieur de la chatière par-dessus le tunnel ﬁxé.

5. À l’aide de vis de longueur adaptée, ﬁxez les cadres intérieur et extérieur de la chatière ensemble.

6. Placez les bouchons de ﬁnition (fournis).

Le travail du verre est une activité qui nécessite des compétences et devrait être menée par un vitrier professionnel. Il n’est pas possible de découper des trous dans du verre trempé ou du double-vitrage, à moins de le faire lors de la fabrication. Veuillez consulter un vitrier.

Installation – Murs

Pour une installation dans un mur, un Adaptateur d’installation et des Extensions de tunnel doivent être achetés séparément. Les vis de ﬁxation au mur ne sont pas fournies avec cette chatière dans la mesure où le type de vis nécessaire varie considérablement en fonction du matériau de construction de votre mur. Les différents types de vis sont disponibles dans tous les magasins de bricolage.

Katten in het PetSafe®-microchipkattenluik programmeren

1. Het kattenluik wordt in de fabriek in de vergrendelde positie gezet. Zorg ervoor dat de handmatige vergrendeling in de stand In en uit wordt gezet.

2. Verwijder het batterijdeksel, leg het meegeleverde hardwarepakket opzij en plaats 4 AA-alkalinebatterijen (LR6). Het groene LED-lampje knippert drie (3) keer, waarmee wordt aangegeven dat het kattenluik in de automatische modus staat.

3. Houd de knop ingedrukt tot het rode LED-lampje gaat branden (ongeveer 5 seconden) om de inleesmodus te activeren. U hebt nu 60 seconden de tijd om de kop van uw kat in de doorgang van het luik te houden, zodat de unieke ID van de microchip kan worden ingelezen. Als de ID van de microchip door het kattenluik is ingelezen, wordt het luik ontgrendeld en gaat het rode LED-lampje uit. Het kattenluik blijft in de automatische modus staan en wordt na 3 seconden opnieuw vergrendeld.

4. Nadat het inlezen van de microchip-ID van uw kat is gelukt, kunt u het kattenluik in de deur installeren.

Opmerking: als u de microchip van meerdere katten wilt inlezen, volgt u dezelfde stappen vanaf stap 3. Er kunnen maximaal 40 microchips van katten worden opgeslagen in het microchipkattenluik. Plaats het batterijdeksel terug wanneer het proces voor alle katten is voltooid.

Handige tip: programmeer de microchip-ID van uw kat voordat u het kattenluik installeert, om te voorkomen dat u uw kat in de doorgang van het kattenluik moet houden nadat dit geplaatst is.Als u problemen ondervindt bij het

programmeren van de microchip-ID van uw kat, zorg er dan voor dat u de kop van de kat goed in de doorgang van het luik houdt of laat de kat helemaal door het kattenluik gaan. Als de microchip-ID van uw kat is ingelezen, kunt u horen dat het luik wordt ontgrendeld.

2. Gebruik een drilboor met een diameter van 12 mm en boor vier hoekgaten in de deur, zoals aangegeven op de sjabloon voor uitsnijden. Zorg ervoor dat u de boor hierbij recht houdt.

3. Zaag met een decoupeerzaag of schrobzaag langs de stippellijn, zoals is aangegeven op het sjabloon voor uitsnijden. (Afb. D).

4. Plaats beide frames tijdelijk op de plaats van de uitsparing. Houd de deur zodanig dat het kattenluik zich in de juiste positie bevindt. Teken met een potlood aan de buitenkant de schroefgaten af door de gaten in het buitenframe (Afb. E). Verwijder het kattenluik en boor de schroefgaten met een boortje van 6 mm (Afb. F).

5. Ontdoe de ruimte van stof, vuil of resten.

6. Plaats het binnenframe (met de daaraan bevestigde tunnel) vanaf de binnenzijde in het gat. Plaats het buitenframe op de juiste plaats aan de buitenzijde van de deur. Er zijn schroeven met drie (3) verschillende lengtes meegeleverd met dit kattenluik. Kies de juiste lengte. Schroef het buitenframe met behulp van een handschroevendraaier vast aan het binnenframe via de gaten die u in de deur hebt geboord.

Belangrijk: Zaag niet in de tunnel. De tunnel bevat belangrijke

onderdelen en elke aanpassing van de tunnel zal de functionaliteit nadelig beïnvloeden.

7. Wanneer de installatie van het kattenluik is voltooid, plaatst u de twee afdichtdopje op de schroeven van het buitenframe. Het kattenluik is klaar voor gebruik

Het PetSafe®-microchipkattenluik is geschikt voor de meeste deuren en afscheidingen, maar soms kunnen er extra materialen en doe-het-zelfvaardigheden nodig zijn. Dit kattenluik is ontworpen om zich gemakkelijk aan te passen aan uitsnede maten voor Staywell® 200, 300, 400, 500, 900 en Petporte smartﬂap® series kattenluiken. Er zijn enkele eenvoudige doe-het-zelfvaardigheden nodig en mogelijk moeten er kleine aanpassingen worden aangebracht aan de uitsparing in de deur of moeten er extra accessoires worden gebruikt.

Installatie – Meten en aftekenen

Meet de hoogte van de buik van uw kat op. Deze is doorgaans 100 mm – 150 mm (Afb. A).

Teken deze maat af op de buitenkant van uw deur of wand en teken een rechte horizontale lijn van 168 mm lang (Afb. B).

Houd er rekening mee dat deze horizontale lijn uiteindelijk de onderkant van het gat wordt dat u in uw deur gaat zagen. Het frame van het kattenluik komt 25 mm lager te zitten. Voor sommige deuren kan het nodig zijn deze lijn iets naar boven te verplaatsen.

Installatie – Deuren van hout, pvc of PVC-U

Voordat u begint, moet u controleren of de deur van binnen van metaal is. Als de deur een metalen kern heeft of een metalen plaat bevat, dient u het gedeelte Installatie in metalen deuren en deuren met een metalen kern van deze handleiding te raadplegen (zie de volgende pagina).

1. Zet het meegeleverde sjabloon voor doorgang in de correcte positie vast op de buitenzijde van uw deur en zorg dat het met de juiste zijde omhoog is geplaatst en dat het waterpas is (Afb. C).

Installatie – Muren

Voor installatie in een muur zijn een installatiekit en tunnelverlengstukken nodig (los te koop). Er worden geen schroeven meegeleverd met het kattenluik, omdat er veel soorten schroeven zijn en het benodigde type afhangt van de constructie van de muur. De diverse soorten schroeven zijn verkrijgbaar in bouwmarkten en doe-het-zelfzaken.

1. Controleer of u het juiste aantal tunnelverlengstukken heeft. Het kattenluik is 72 mm diep en elk extra tunnelverlengstuk is 50 mm diep.

2. Voor optimale bevestiging in muren adviseren wij de PetSafe

installatiekit

voor muren.

3. Zorg ervoor dat er geen nutsleidingen lopen in het gebied waar geïnstalleerd wordt en dat uw kat er goed bij kan.

4. Volg de instructies in Installatie – Deuren van hout, pvc of upvc (stap 1-5) om het gat in de muur te maken. Belangrijk: Zorg voor voldoende ruimte aan de onderkant van de installatiekit.

5. Bevestig met behulp van het meegeleverde gereedschap een installatieplaat aan het binnenframe van het kattenluik en de tweede installatieplaat aan het buitenframe van het kattenluik. Leg beide frames weg.

6. Koppel de tunnelverlengstukken met permanent hechtende lijm en versterk de randen met watervaste tape.

7. Plaats het binnenframe van het kattenluik tijdelijk in de uitsparing in de muur. Markeer de vier schroefgaten met een potlood. Verwijder het binnenframe van het kattenluik en boor gaten op de gemarkeerde plekken op een manier die past bij de constructie van de muur.

8. Bevestig de tunnelverlengstukken met watervast tape aan het binnenframe. Niet lijmen.

9. Installeer het binnenframe van het kattenluik en bevestig het aan de muur met gereedschap dat geschikt is voor de constructie van de muur.

10. Plaats het buitenframe van het kattenluik tijdelijk in de uitsparing in de muur. Markeer de vier schroefgaten met een potlood. Verwijder het buitenframe van het kattenluik en boor gaten op de gemarkeerde plekken op een manier die past bij de constructie van de muur.

11. Installeer het buitenframe van het kattenluik en bevestig het aan de muur met gereedschap dat geschikt is voor de constructie van de muur.

12. Installeer de afdichtdopjes (inbegrepen).

Installatie – Metalen deuren of deuren met een metalen kern

Voor de installatie van het kattenluik in een metalen deur of een deur met een metalen kernplaat zijn enkele aanpassingen nodig. De aanwezigheid van metaal kan de werking van het kattenluik beïnvloeden en ervoor zorgen dat het bereik waarbinnen de microchip kan worden ingelezen, kleiner wordt. Als het luik niet goed werkt, kan het nodig zijn om een installatiekit aan te schaffen en te installeren volgens de instructies in Installatie – Ramen of deuren van glas, verderop in deze handleiding.

Installatie – Ramen of deuren van glas

Het PetSafe® kattenluik met microchip is ook ontwikkeld voor installatie in glasen daarvoor is een rond gat nodig met een diameter van 212 mm en een installatiekit (wordt apart verkocht). Uw glaszetter snijdt met behulp van de sjabloon een rond gat met een diameter van 212 mm in het glas. Nadat het gat in uw raam of deur van glas is aangebracht door een glaszetter, volgt u voor de installatie onderstaande instructies.

1. Schuif een installatieplaat over de tunnel aan de binnenkant van het frame van het kattenluik.

2. Van binnenuit het huis installeert u het kattenluik in de opening.

3. Vanaf de buitenkant van het huis schuift u de tweede installatieplaat over de tunnel van het kattenluik.

4. Installeer het buitenframe van het kattenluik over de bevestigde tunnel.

5. Kies schroeven van de juiste lengte om het binnen- en buitenframe van het kattenluik aan elkaar vast te maken.

6. Plaats de afdichtdopjes (inbegrepen).

Werken met glas is gespecialiseerd werk en moet worden uitgevoerd door een professionele glaszetter. Het is niet mogelijk om gaten te maken in verstevigd glas of dubbele beglazing geen gaten maken behalve ten tijde van de productie. Raadpleeg een glaszetter.

2. Retire la tapa de las pilas, reserve el paquete de hardware que se incluye e instale las 4 pilas alcalinas AA (LR6). El indicador luminoso LED verde parpadeará tres (3) veces, lo que indica que la puerta para gatos está en el modo automático.

3. Para entrar en el modo de Aprendizaje, mantenga pulsado el botón hasta que el indicador luminoso LED rojo se encienda (alrededor de 5 segundos). Tendrá 60 segundos para colocar la cabeza del gato en el túnel para reconocer el microchip ID. Nota: Para reconocer a más de un gato, siga los mismos pasos desde el paso n.º 3. La puerta con microchip puede guardar hasta 40 gatos con microchip. Vuelva a colocar la tapa de las baterías cuando haya terminado el proceso para todos los gatos.

Programar gatos en la puerta con microchip PetSafe

La puerta para gatos con microchip PetSafe® está diseñada para que funcione con la mayoría de microchips de 15 dígitos (FDX-B) utilizados para mascotas. Antes de empezar la conﬁguración o instalación de la puerta para gatos, asegúrese de que su gato tiene el tipo correcto de microchip.

Para empezar a funcionar, la puerta para gatos debe conocer el número de identiﬁcación (ID) único del microchip del gato. Siga estos pasos para empezar a conﬁgurar la puerta para gatos:

1. La puerta para gatos se preconﬁgurará de fábrica en la posición cerrada. Asegúrese de que el bloqueo manual esté conﬁgurado en la posición Dentro y Fuera (Fig. H).

Retire la puerta para gatos y perfore los oriﬁcios de los tornillos con una broca de 6 mm (Fig. F).

7. Al completar la instalación de la puerta para gatos, coloque dos tapones ciegos sobre los tornillos en el marco exterior. Ya puede utilizar la puerta para gatos (Fig. G).

Instalación – Puertas metálicas y con núcleo de metal

Para la instalación de la puerta para gatos en una puerta de metal o en una puerta con un núcleo metálico pueden ser necesarias ciertas modiﬁcaciones. La presencia de metal puede interferir con el rendimiento de la puerta para gatos, así como reducir el alcance de lectura del microchip. Si experimenta un mal funcionamiento de la puerta, puede ser necesario adquirir e instalar un Adaptador de instalación, y seguir las instrucciones en la sección de esta guía Instalación - Ventanas o puertas de cristal.

La puerta con microchip PetSafe® es adecuada para ajustarse a la mayoría de puertas o tabiques, si bien puede requerir materiales adicionales y habilidades profesionales de bricolaje. Esta puerta para gato se ha diseñado para adaptarse fácilmente a los huecos de las puertas para gato de las series Staywell® 200, 300, 400, 500, 900 y Petporte smartﬂap®. Son necesarias ciertas dotes de bricolaje y quizá requiera pequeños ajustes al recorte o accesorios adicionales.

Instalación – Medición y marcado

Mida la altura de la panza de su gato. Suele ser de 100 mm a 150 mm (Fig. A).

Marque esta medición en el exterior de su puerta y trace una línea horizontal de 168 mm de longitud (Fig. B).

Tenga en cuenta que posteriormente esta línea horizontal será la parte inferior del oriﬁcio que practicará en su puerta. El marco de la puerta para gato será de 25 mm o inferior. Si es necesario, deberá elevar esta línea un poco para tener esto en cuenta en algunos diseños de puerta.

Instalación – Puertas de madera, PVC o uPVC

Antes de empezar, compruebe si su puerta tiene núcleo de metal. Si encuentra metal interior o una placa metálica, consulte la sección Instalación - Puertas de núcleo metálico de esta guía (en la página siguiente).

1. Acople la plantilla de corte suministrada a la parte exterior de la puerta en la posición correcta, de modo que esté con la orientación superior adecuada y nivelada (Fig C).

2. Perfore en la puerta los cuatro oriﬁcios con una broca de un diámetro de 12 mm, tal como está marcado en la plantilla para el corte. Asegúrese de que la broca permanece recta y nivelada.

2. Para una mejor adaptación, le recomendamos que use el adaptador de instalación PetSafe

para instalaciones en paredes.

3. Asegúrese de que la zona de instalación esté libre de líneas de abastecimiento y que hay un acceso adecuado disponible para su gato.

4. Siga las instrucciones en Instalación - Puertas de madera, PVC o uPVC (Pasos 1-5) para cortar el agujero en su pared. Importante: asegúrese de que deja suﬁciente espacio para la parte inferior del adaptador de instalación.

5. Acople una placa de adaptador al marco interior de la puerta para gatos y acople la segunda placa de adaptador al marco exterior de la puerta para gatos, utilizando el herraje que se suministra. Deje los dos marcos aparte.

6. Apile las extensiones de túnel utilizando cola permanente y refuerce las uniones con cinta impermeable.

7. Coloque temporalmente el marco interior de la puerta para gatos en el corte de la pared. Use un lápiz para marcar los cuatro oriﬁcios de los tornillos. Retire el marco interior de la puerta para gatos y taladre en los agujeros marcados adecuados como sea mejor para los materiales de la pared.

8. Acople las extensiones de túnel al marco interior con cinta impermeable, no con cola.

9. Instale el marco interior de la puerta para gatos y fíjela a la pared con el herraje apropiado al material de la pared.

10. Coloque temporalmente el marco exterior de la puerta para gatos en el corte de la pared. Use un lápiz para marcar los cuatro oriﬁcios de los tornillos. Retire el marco exterior de la puerta para gatos y taladre en los agujeros marcados adecuados como sea mejor para los materiales de la pared.

11. Instale el marco exterior de la puerta para gatos y fíjela a la pared con el herraje apropiado al material de la pared.

12. Instale los taponadores (incluidos).

Instalación – Puertas de cristal, ventanas o paredes

La puerta para gatos con microchip PetSafe® también está diseñada para instalar en cristal y es necesario para esto un agujero circular de 212 mm y un adaptador de instalación (vendido por separado). Es necesario que su cristalero corte un agujero circular de 212 mm según la plantilla para el corte. Una vez que el cristalero ha hecho el agujero en su puerta de cristal o en su ventana, siga las instrucciones a continuación para la instalación.

1. Deslice una placa del adaptador sobre el túnel en el lado interior del marco de la puerta para gatos.

2. Desde el interior de la casa, instale la puerta para gatos en la abertura.

3. Desde el exterior de la casa, deslice el segundo adaptador sobre el túnel de la puerta para gatos.

4. Instale el marco exterior de la puerta para gatos sobre el túnel acoplado.

5. Utilizando los tornillos de la longitud apropiada, conecte los marcos interior y exterior de la puerta para gatos.

6. Introduzca los taponadores (incluidos).

El trabajo en cristal es una tarea especializada y debe realizarla un cristalero profesional. No es posible practicar agujeros en vidrio templado ni en doble acristalamiento, excepto en el momento de fabricación. Consulte a un cristalero.

Instalación - Paredes

Para la instalación en paredes, deben comprarse por separado un adaptador de instalación y extensiones del túnel. Los tornillos para ﬁjación en paredes no se incluyen con esta puerta para gatos dado que el tipo de tornillo necesario variará mucho según el material de la pared. Existen distintos tipos de tornillos de ﬁjación en las tiendas de bricolaje.

1. Asegúrese de tener el número correcto de extensiones de túnel. La puerta para gatos tiene 72 mm de profundidad y cada extensión de túnel adicional tiene 50 mm de profundidad.

Programmazione dei gatti per la porta per gatti con microchip PetSafe

La porta per gatti con microchip PetSafe® è progettata per funzionare con la maggior parte dei microchip a 15 cifre (FDX-B) utilizzati per gli animali domestici. Prima di iniziare la conﬁgurazione o l'installazione della porta per gatti, accertarsi che il gatto sia munito del corretto tipo di microchip.

Per prima cosa è necessario che la porta per gatti “apprenda” il numero di identiﬁcazione (ID) univoco del microchip del gatto. I seguenti passaggi mostrano come impostare la porta per gatti:

1. Le porte per gatti sono preimpostate in fabbrica sulla posizione di bloccaggio. Controllare che il bloccaggio manuale sia impostato in posizione Ingresso e Uscita (Fig. H).

2. Rimuovere il coperchio del vano batterie, mettere da parte il gruppo hardware e installare 4 batterie stilo alcaline (LR6). La spia LED verde lampeggerà tre (3) volte, per indicare che la porta per gatti è impostata in modalità automatica (Automatic).

3. Per attivare la modalità di apprendimento (Learn), premere e mantenere premuto il pulsante ﬁnché non si accende la spia LED rossa (per circa 5 secondi). Da questo momento si hanno a disposizione 60 secondi per introdurre la testa del gatto nel tunnel e consentire il riconoscimento dell’ID del microchip. Terminata la procedura di apprendimento dell’ID del microchip, la porta per gatti si sblocca e la spia LED rossa si spegne. La porta per gatti rimarrà in modalità automatica (Automatic) e si ribloccherà dopo 3 secondi.

4. Terminata la procedura di apprendimento dell’ID del microchip del gatto è possibile installare la porta per gatti nella destinazione scelta.

Note: Se i gatti sono più di uno, seguire per ognuno la stessa procedura iniziando dal Fase n° 3. La porta per gatti con microchip è in grado di memorizzare ﬁno a 40 gatti con microchip. Terminate le procedure per tutti i gatti, chiudere il coperchio del vano batterie.

Consiglio utile: Programmare l’ID del microchip del gatto prima dell’installazione, per non essere costretti a trattenere l’animale all’interno della porta per gatti una volta che questa sia stata installata. In caso di problemi con la

procedura di programmazione dell’ID del microchip del gatto, veriﬁcare che l’animale abbia la testa completamente all’interno del tunnel, oppure che attraversi completamente la porta per gatti. Quando l’apprendimento dell’ID del microchip del gatto è avvenuto, la porta per gatti si sblocca.

3. Con un seghetto alternativo tagliare lungo la linea tratteggiata della sagoma per il taglio. (Fig. D).

4. Collocare momentaneamente entrambi i telai nel modello sagomato. Mettere a livello la porta ﬁno a raggiungere la posizione corretta. Sulla parte esterna, con una matita segnare i fori per le viti attraverso i fori del struttura esterno (Fig. E). Rimuovere la porta per gatti ed eseguire i fori con il trapano e una punta da 6 mm (Fig. F).

5. Pulire l'area da eventuali tracce di polvere, sporcizia o residui.

6. Posizionare il struttura interno (a cui è stato ﬁssato il tunnel) nel foro dall’interno. Allineare il struttura esterno all’esterno della porta. La porta per gatti viene fornita con viti di montaggio di tre (3) diverse lunghezze. Selezionare la lunghezza corretta. Con un cacciavite manuale, avvitare il struttura esterno attraverso i fori della porta al struttura interno.

Importante: non tagliare il tunnel. Il tunnel

contiene componenti chiave, pertanto, se venisse modiﬁcato, potrebbe non essere più garantita la corretta funzionalità del sistema.

7. Al termine dell’installazione della porta per gatti, coprire le viti della struttura esterna con i due tappi di chiusura. La porta per gatti è ora pronta per l'uso (Fig. G).

Installazione – Porte metalliche o con anima metallica

L’installazione della porta per gatti in porte metalliche o con anima metallica potrebbe comportare alcune modiﬁche. La presenza di metallo può interferire con le prestazioni della porta per gatti, inclusa la diminuzione della portata di lettura del microchip. In caso di performance scarse, può essere necessario acquistare e installare un adattatore per l’installazione e seguire le istruzioni nella sezione Installazione – Porte di vetro o ﬁnestre di questa guida.

Tutte le porte per animali domestici PetSafe® sono adatte a qualunque porta, parete o parete divisoria, anche se a volte la loro installazione può richiedere l’utilizzo di materiali supplementari. Questa porta è progettata per adattarsi facilmente alle dimensioni di taglio per Staywell® 200, 300, 400, 500, 900 and per La gattaiola Microchip Petporte smartﬂap®. Sono necessarie conoscenze di base del fai da te e adattamenti minimi del modello sagomato oppure accessori supplementari.

Installazione – Misura e marcatura

Misurare l'altezza della pancia del gatto. Solitamente è compresa tra 100 e 150 mm (Fig. A).

Segnare la misura all'esterno della porta e tracciare una linea orizzontale diritta di 168 mm (Fig. B).

La linea rappresenterà la parte inferiore del foro che verrà ritagliato nella porta, pertanto il telaio della porta per gatti sarà 25 mm più basso. Se necessario, per tenere conto della differenza è possibile tracciare la linea leggermente più in alto a seconda del modello di porta.

Installazione – Porte di legno, PVC o uPVC

Prima di iniziare, controllare se la porta ha un’anima metallica. In caso affermativo, fare riferimento alla sezione “Installazione - Porte metalliche e con anima metallica” di questa guida (pagina successiva).

1. Fissare la sagoma per il taglio all'esterno della porta nella posizione scelta, accertandosi che sia all'altezza giusta e perfettamente orizzontale (Fig. C).

2. Con il trapano e una punta da 12 mm eseguire sulla porta di casa quattro fori agi angoli come indicato sulla sagoma per il taglio. Mantenere la punta diritta, non inclinata.

Installazione – Porte di vetro o ﬁnestre

La porta per gatti PetSafe® con microchip è inoltre progettata per l’installazione su vetro e richiede un foro circolare di 212 mm e un adattatore per l’installazione (venduto separatamente). Il vetraio dovrà tagliare un foro circolare del diametro di 212 mm secondo la sagoma di taglio. Una volta che il vetraio ha realizzato il foro nella porta di vetro o nella ﬁnestra seguire le istruzioni di seguito per l’installazione.

1. Far scorrere una piastra di adattamento sul tunnel sul lato interno della struttura della porta per gatti.

2. Da dentro la casa, installare la porta per gatti nell’apertura.

3. Fuori dalla casa, far scorrere il secondo adattatore lungo il tunnel della porta per gatti.

4. Installare la struttura esterna della porta per gatti lungo il tunnel allegato.

5. Utilizzando viti di lunghezza appropriata, collegare le strutture interne ed esterne della porta per gatti.

Installazione – Pareti

Per l’installazione su pareti, devono essere acquistati separatamente un adattatore di installazione e dei tunnel di estensione. Le viti di ﬁssaggio a parete non sono fornite con questa porta per gatti in quanto il modello richiesto varierà grandemente a seconda della struttura del muro. Sono disponibili vari modelli di ﬁssaggio in ferramenta e nei negozi di bricolage.

1. Assicurarsi di disporre del giusto numero di tunnel di estensione. La porta per gatti è di 72 mm di profondità e ciascun ulteriore tunnel di estensione è di 50 mm di profondità.

2. Per un migliore adattamento, consigliamo di utilizzare l’adattatore di installazione PetSafe

per le installazioni a muro.

3. Assicurarsi che l’area di installazione sia libera dalle utenze e che un

accesso appropriato sia disponibile per il gatto.

4. Seguire le istruzioni nella sezione Installazione – Legno, PVC, o sportelli uPVC (Fasi 1-5) per realizzare il buco nel muro. Importante: Assicurarsi che ci sia abbastanza spazio per il fondo dell’adattatore per l’installazione.

5. Fissare una piastra dell’adattatore alla struttura interna della porta per gatti e ﬁssare la seconda piastra dell’adattatore alla piastra esterna della porta per gatti, utilizzando i componenti forniti. Posizionare entrambe le strutture una accanto all’altra.

6. Incollare insieme i tunnel di estensione utilizzando colla permanente e rinforzare i ﬁssaggi con nastro resistente alle intemperie.

7. Posizionare temporaneamente la struttura interna della porta per gatti nel foro del muro. Utilizzare una matita per segnare i quattro fori per le viti. Rimuovere la struttura interna della porta per gatti e perforare i fori premarcati nella maniera più appropriata per la struttura del muro.

8. Fissare i tunnel di estensione al telaio interno con nastro resistente alle intemperie, non incollare.

9. Installare la struttura interna della porta per gatti e ﬁssarla al muro utilizzando i componenti appropriati per la struttura del muro.

10. Posizionare temporaneamente la struttura esterna della porta per gatti nel foro del muro. Utilizzare una matita per segnare i quattro fori per le viti. Rimuovere la struttura esterna della porta per gatti e perforare i fori premarcati nella maniera più appropriata per la struttura del muro.

11. Installare la struttura esterna della porta per gatti e ﬁssarla al muro utilizzando i componenti appropriati per la struttura del muro.

Einprogrammieren von Katzen in die PetSafe® Mikrochip-Katzenklappe

Ihre PetSafe® Mikrochip-Katzenklappe wurde dazu entworfen, mit den am häuﬁgsten für Haustiere verwendeten 15-stelligen Mikrochips (FDX-B) zu funktionieren. Bevor Sie mit den Einstellungen oder der Installation der Katzenklappe beginnen, stellen Sie bitte sicher, dass Ihre Katze die richtige Art von Mikrochip hat.

Für den Betriebsbeginn muss die Katzenklappe die eindeutige Identiﬁkationsnummer (ID) des Mikrochips Ihrer Katze kennenlernen. Bitte folgen Sie den Schritten unten, um mit den Einstellungen Ihrer Katzenklappe zu beginnen:

1. Die Katzenklappe wird werksseitig in der verriegelten Position voreingestellt. Stellen Sie sicher, dass die manuelle Verriegelung auf die Hinein-und-Hinaus-Position gestellt ist (Abb. H).

2. Entfernen Sie die Abdeckung des Batteriefachs, legen Sie die mitgelieferte Werkzeugpackung bereit und installieren Sie 4 AA-AlkaliBatterien (LR6). Die grüne LED Leuchte blinkt drei (3) Mal, was bedeutet, dass sich die Katzenklappe im Automatikmodus beﬁndet..

3. Um den Lernmodus aufzurufen, halten Sie die Taste gedrückt, bis die rote LED-Leuchte auﬂeuchtet (etwa 5 Sekunden lang). Sie haben 60 Sekunden Zeit, um den Kopf der Katze im Tunnel zu positionieren, damit die Mikrochip-ID erlernt wird. Sobald die Katzenklappe die MikrochipID erlernt hat, wird sie entsperrt und die rote LED-Leuchte erlischt. Die Katzenklappe bleibt im Automatikmodus und wird nach 3 Sekunden wieder verriegelt.

4. Nachdem die Mikrochip-ID der Katze erfolgreich erlernt wurde, können Sie die Katzenklappe in Ihre Tür einsetzen.

Hinweis: Wenn mehr als eine Katze erlernt werden soll, befolgen Sie bitte die gleichen Schritte, beginnend mit Schritt Nr. 3. Die Mikrochip-Katzenklappe kann bis zu 40 Katzen mit Mikrochip speichern. Wenn der Vorgang für alle Katzen abgeschlossen ist, setzen Sie die Abdeckung des Batteriefachs wieder ein.

Tipp: Programmieren Sie die Mikrochip-ID Ihrer Katze vor der Installation, um zu verhindern, dass Sie Ihre Katze in der Katzenklappe halten müssen, nachdem sie installiert wurde. Wenn Sie

Die PetSafe® Mikrochip-Katzenklappe passt in die meisten Türen oder Raumteiler, wobei jedoch eventuell zusätzliche Materialien und handwerkliches Geschick erforderlich sein können. Diese Katzenklappe ist konzipiert, um einfach anpassbar zu sein an Ausschnittsgrößen von Staywell ® 200, 300, 400, 500, 900 Serien und Petporte smart ﬂap® Mikrochip Katzenklappen. Es sind einige einfache handwerkliche Fähigkeiten erforderlich und es können geringfügige Anpassungen an der Aussparung oder zusätzliches Zubehör erforderlich sein.

Installation – Messung und Markierung

Messen Sie die Höhe des Bauches Ihrer Katze. Diese ist üblicherweise 100 mm - 150 mm (Abb. A).

Markieren Sie diesen Messwert an der Außenseite Ihrer Tür oder Wand und zeichnen Sie eine gerade horizontale Linie, die 168 mm lang ist (Abb. B).

Denken Sie bitte daran, dass diese horizontale Linie letztendlich die Unterseite der Öffnung sein wird, die Sie in Ihre Tür machen. Der Rahmen der Katzenklappe wird 25 mm niedriger sein. Bei Bedarf muss diese Linie eventuell leicht angehoben werden, um verschiedene Türdesigns zu berücksichtigen.

Installation – Holz-, PVC-, oder uPVC-Türen

Bevor Sie beginnen, überprüfen Sie bitte, ob Ihre Tür einen Metallkern hat. Wenn ein Metallkern oder eine Metallplatte gefunden wird, lesen Sie bitte den Abschnitt Installation – Metalltüren und Türen mit Metallkern dieser Anleitung (auf der nächsten Seite).

1. Befestigen Sie die mitgelieferte Schneidschablone an der Außenseite Ihrer Tür in der korrekten Position und stellen dabei sicher, dass die richtige Richtung nach oben weist und sie genau im Wasser (horizontal) ist (Abb. C).

2. Bohren Sie vier Ecklöcher, wie auf der Schneideschablone markiert ist, mit einem Bohrer mit 12 mm Durchmesser durch die Tür Stellen Sie bitte sicher, dass der Bohrer gerade und waagrecht bleibt.

3. Schneiden Sie mit einer Spann- oder Schlüssellochsäge entlang der gestrichelten Linie auf der Schneidschablone. (Abb. D).

4. Platzieren Sie vorübergehend beide Rahmen in der Aussparung. Ebnen Sie die Tür, bis sie in der richtigen Position ist. Verwenden Sie einen Bleistift, um die Schraublöcher von draußen durch die Löcher am Außenrahmen zu markieren (Abb. E). Entfernen Sie die Katzenklappe und bohren Sie die Schraublöcher mit einem 6-mm-Bohrer (Abb. F).

5. Befreien Sie den Bereich von Staub, Schmutz oder Rückständen.

6. Platzieren Sie den Innenrahmen (mit angebrachtem Tunnel) von innen im Loch. Richten Sie den Außenrahmen an die Außenseite der Tür aus. Mit dieser Klappe wurden drei (3) verschiedene Längen von Schrauben geliefert. Wählen Sie bitte die entsprechende Länge aus. Schrauben Sie den Außenrahmen mithilfe eines manuellen Schraubenziehers durch die Löcher in Ihrer Tür in den Innenrahmen.

Wichtig: Den Tunnel nicht schneiden. Im Tunnel

beﬁnden sich Schlüsselkomponenten und jede Änderung des Tunnels beeinträchtigt die Funktionalität.

7. Wenn die Installation der Katzenklappe abgeschlossen ist, bringen Sie die beiden Verschlussstopfen über den Schrauben am Außenrahmen an. Die Katzenklappe ist betriebsbereit (Abb. G).

Installation – Metalltüren oder Türen mit Metallkern

Die Installation der Katzenklappe in eine Metalltür oder eine Tür mit einer Metallkernplatte kann einige Modiﬁkationen erfordern. Das Vorhandensein von Metall kann die Leistung der Katzenklappe beeinträchtigen, einschließlich einer Verringerung des Lesebereichs des Mikrochips. Bei unzureichender Leistung müssen Sie unter Umständen einen Installationsadapter erwerben und einbauen und die Anleitung im Abschnitt Installation – Glastüren oder -fenster der vorliegenden Gebrauchsanweisung befolgen.

Installation – Glastüren oder -fenster

Die Mikrochip-Katzenklappe von PetSafe® ist auch zum Einbau in Glas vorgesehen; dafür werden ein rundes Loch mit einem Durchmesser von 212 mm und ein Installationsadapter (separat erhältlich) benötigt. Der Glaser muss ein rundes Loch mit einem Durchschnitt von 212 mm gemäß der Schneideschablone schneiden. Nachdem der Glaser das Loch in die Glastür oder das Glasfenster geschnitten hat, befolgen Sie einfach die unten stehende Installationsanleitung.

1. Eine Adapterplatte über den Tunnel an der Innenseite des Rahmens der Katzenklappe schieben.

2. Von der Innenseite des Wohnraums die Katzenklappe in die Öffnung einbauen.

3. Von der Außenseite den zweiten Adapter über den Tunnel der

Katzenklappe schieben.

4. Den Außenrahmen der Katzenklappe über dem angebrachten Tunnel montieren.

5. Innen- und Außenrahmen der Katzenklappe mit entsprechend großen Schrauben verbinden.

Die Arbeit mit Glas erfordert qualiﬁzierte Arbeitstechniken und sollte von einem professionellen Glaser durchgeführt werden. In verstärktes Glas oder Doppelglas lassen sich keine Öffnungen schneiden, außer bei der Herstellung selbst. Bitte wenden Sie sich an einen Glaser.

Installation – Wände

Bei Wandmontage müssen ein Installationsadapter und Tunnelverlängerungen separat erworben werden. Wandschrauben sind nicht im Lieferumfang dieser Katzenklappe inbegriffen, da sich die Art der benötigten Schrauben vor allem nach der Wandkonstruktion richtet. Diverse Befestigungen ﬁnden Sie in Eisenwarengeschäften und Baumärkten.

1. Kontrollieren, ob Sie die richtige Anzahl an Tunnelverlängerungen haben. Die Katzenklappe ist 72 mm tief und jede weitere Tunnelverlängerung

50 mm.

2. Bei Wandmontage empfehlen wir für den optimalen Halt den Installationsadapter von PetSafe

3. Darauf achten, dass sich im Montagebereich keine Leitungen beﬁnden und dass sich im Installationsbereich leichten Zugang hat.

4. Zum Schneiden eines Lochs in die Wand die Anleitung im Abschnitt Installation – Holz-, PVC oder uPVC-Tür (Schritt 1 – 5) befolgen. Wichtig: An der Unterseite des Installationsadapter genug Platz lassen.

5. Mit den bereitgestellten Eisenwaren eine Adapterplatte am Innenrahmen der Katzenklappe und die zweite Adapterplatte am Außenrahmen der Katzenklappe anbringen. Beide Rahmen beiseitelegen.

6. Die Tunnelverlängerungen mit Dauerklebstoff zusammenfügen und die Fugen mit wasserdichtem Klebeband verstärken.

7. Den Innenrahmen der Katzenklappe vorübergehend in den Wandausschnitt stecken. Mit einem Bleistift die vier Schraublöcher kennzeichnen. Den Innenrahmen der Katzenklappe abnehmen und die gekennzeichneten Löcher so durchbohren, wie es für die Wandkonstruktion am besten passt.

8. Die Tunnelverlängerungen mit wasserdichtem Klebeband (NICHT mit Klebstoff) am Innenrahmen befestigen.

9. Den Innenrahmen der Katzenklappe zusammenbauen und mit Eisenwaren, die für die Wandkonstruktion geeignet sind, an der Wand anbringen.

10. Den Außenrahmen der Katzenklappe vorübergehend in den Wandausschnitt stecken. Mit einem Bleistift die vier Schraublöcher kennzeichnen. Den Außenrahmen der Katzenklappe abnehmen und die gekennzeichneten Löcher so durchbohren, wie es für die Wandkonstruktion am besten passt.

11. Den Außenrahmen der Katzenklappe zusammenbauen und mit Eisenwaren, die für die Wandkonstruktion geeignet sind, an der Wand anbringen.

12. Verschlussstopfen einbauen (im Lieferumfang inbegriffen).
