Räjähdysvaara, mikäli paristo korvataan vääräntyyppisellä
paristolla. Älä oikosulje, sekoita vanhoja ja uusia paristoja, hävitä polttamalla

tai altista vedelle. Kun paristot varastoidaan tai hävitetään, ne on suojattava
oikosululta. Hävitä käytetyt paristot asianmukaisella tavalla.

AEROSOLIT:

• Pidä pois lasten ulottuvilta.

• Täyttötölkin ja spraypannan sisällöt ovat paineellisia.

• Käytä vain hyvin tuuletetuilla alueilla. Käytä vain ohjeiden mukaisesti.

• Saattaa räjähtää, jos kuumennetaan, ei saa kuumentaa. Ei saa altistaa yli
45 °C:n tai 113 °F:n lämpötilalle.

• Ei saa polttaa. Ei saa hävittää polttamalla edes tyhjänä.

• Pidä auringonvalolta suojattuna.

• Älä jätä aerosolitölkkiä ajoneuvoon, jossa lämpötila voi nousta yli
45°C:seen tai 113 °F:seen.

• Säilytä viileässä paikassa.

istuvuus on tärkeää. Pannan pitäminen liian kauan tai sen säätäminen liian
tiukaksi voi aiheuttaa lemmikille ihovaurioita. Tämä vaiva vaihtelee punoituksesta
ihon painevaurioon ja se tunnetaan yleisesti makuuhaavana.

• Vältä pitämästä pantaa koiran kaulassa yli 12 tuntia vuorokaudessa.

• Asettele panta lemmikin kaulaan uudelleen mahdollisuuksien mukaan 1–2
tunnin välein.

• Tarkista istuvuus, jotta panta ei purista liikaa. Ohjeet löytyvät tästä oppaasta.

• Älä koskaan kytke elektroniikkapantaan hihnaa.

• Kun käytät talutushihnaa varten erillistä pantaa, älä kohdista puristusta
elektroniikkapantaan.

• Pese koiran kaulan alue ja pannan kosketusalue viikoittain kostealla
kankaalla.

• Tarkasta kosketusalue päivittäin ihottuman tai hiertymien varalta.

• Jos ihottumaa tai hiertymiä havaitaan, lopeta pannan käyttö, kunnes iho on
parantunut.

• Jos vaiva jatkuu yli 48 tuntia, ota yhteyttä eläinlääkäriin.

Nämä vaiheet edistävät lemmikkisi turvallisuutta ja mukavuutta. Jotkin
lemmikit ovat herkkiä kosketuspaineelle. Jonkin ajan päästä saatat huomata,
että lemmikkisi sietää pantaa erittäin hyvin. Tällöin voit helpottaa joidenkin
varotoimien noudattamista. Kosketusalueen päivittäisten tarkastusten jatkaminen
on tärkeää. Jos punoitusta tai hiertymiä havaitaan, lopeta pannan käyttö, kunnes
iho on täysin parantunut.

Haukunestopantaa tulee käyttää vain terveillä, 6 kuukautta täyttäneillä koirilla.
Suosittelemme, että viet koirasi eläinlääkäriin ennen pannan käyttämistä, jos se
ei ole terve.

Laitteen toiminta

Anti-Bark Spray Collar™ Spray haukunestopanta on suunniteltu auttamaan koiran koulutuksessa ja
hallitsemaan koiran häiritsevää haukkumista. Sen rauhoittava vaikutus antaa koirien mukautua helposti ja
hiljaisesti ympäristöönsä, ja omistajat saavat mielenrauhaa.

Anti-Bark Spray Collar

™

Spray haukunestopanta on erittäin tehokas, sillä se häiritsee eläimen
ensisijaisia aistihavaintoja harmittomasti ja kivuttomasti. Laite toimii automaattisesti eikä edellytä
ihmisen toimia. Koirasi lopettaa haukkumisen silloin, kun sille on puettu panta. Anti-Bark Spray Collar™
Spray haukunestopanta vaikutus ei kuitenkaan ole pysyvä. Jos pannan käyttö lopetetaan, koira jatkaa
aikanaan haukkumista. Haukkumista voidaan vähentää pysyvästi ilman tarvetta käyttää laitetta koko
ajan yhdistämällä sprayhaukunestopanta oikeanlaiseen koulutukseen ja käytöksenmuokkaustoimiin.

Pannan säätäminen spraylaitteelle sopivaksi

1. Irrota pidike mustasta pannasta (A). Pujota musta panta (B) spraylaitteen silmukoiden (C) läpi.

Kiinnitä pidike takaisin pantaan (D). Pidikkeen kaarevan reunan tulee olla sisäänpäin.

2. Pujota pannan vapaana oleva pää lähimpänä PetSafe

®

-logoa olevaan soljen aukkoon niin, että se

kulkee takaa eteen (E). Pujota sitten pannan vapaana oleva pää ulkopuolella olevan aukon läpi
niin, että se kulkee edestä taakse (F). Vapaana olevan pään pitäisi nyt roikkua ulkopuolella, pujota
sitten pidike (G). Kun nämä toimet on tehty, kokoonpantu panta näyttää kuvan (H) mukaiselta.

Riisu koiraltasi kaikki muut mahdolliset pannat ja pue sille spraypanta. Varmista, että
sprayventtiili osoittaa kohti kuonoa. Säädä panta niin, että se istuu tavallisen pannan
tavoin. Koiran kaulan ja laitteen väliin tulisi helposti saada mahtumaan kaksi sormea
(I). Suosittelemme tarkistamaan säännöllisesti, että panta on säädetty oikein.

Huomautus: Jos näitä ohjeita ei noudateta kunnolla, solki voi helposti irrota
pannasta. Laite voi tämän jälkeen kadota tai vahingoittua.

Koira on totutettava laitteeseen ennen kuin sitä aletaan varsinaisesti käyttää.
Suosittelemme, että annat koiran pitää Anti-Bark Spray Collar

™

Spray
haukunestopanta -pantaa 4–5 päivää ennen pariston asentamista ja laitteen
täyttämistä. Suosittelemme myös, että tänä aikana poistat pannan ja puet sen
takaisin koirallesi usein.

Laitteen täyttäminen

Anti-Bark Spray Collar™ Spray haukunestopanta on läpinäkyvä säiliö, jonka täyttöasteen ilmaisimesta on
helppo nähdä, milloin säiliö alkaa olla tyhjä (J).

1. Pane laite tasaiselle pinnalle täyttöventtiili (syvin ontelo) ylöspäin (K). Ravista spraytölkkiä

ennenkäyttöä.

2. Pidä kannua ylösalaisin ja työnnä aerosolikärki täyttöventtiiliin (L) – pidä tukevasti alas painettuna

10 sekuntia (M). Vapauta puristus, paina alas toiset 10 sekuntia ja vapauta.

Huomautus: Jos spray karkaa, kun yrität täyttää laitetta, paranna tiiviyttä painamalla täyttötölkkiä
voimakkaammin alaspäin. Kun laite on täytetty kokonaan, siinä oleva kaasu riittää 18–23 sprayhin.

Pariston asettaminen

Paristolokero on samalla puolella kuin täyttöventtiili (N). Avaa paristolokeron kansi kiertämällä sitä
ja asenna 3 voltin paristo (+-napa edellä) (O). Kierrä kansi takaisin kiinni (kannen avaamisessa ja
sulkemisessa voidaan käyttää kolikkoa) (P).

Huomautus: Jos punainen valo vilkkuu kolme kertaa peräkkäin, pannan paristo on lopussa ja se on
vaihdettava.

Laitteen käynnistäminen

Käynnistä laite painamalla laitteen edessä olevaa harmaata painiketta (Q). Vihreä
valo välähtää kerran osoittamaan, että virta on kytketty. Tämän jälkeen vihreä
valo välähtää muutaman sekunnin välein. Laite on asetettu valmiiksi lyhyen sprayn
toimintatilaan, ja se on nyt käyttövalmis. Pitkä spray kytketään painamalla samaa
harmaata painiketta kerran. Vihreä valo välkähtää kahdesti uuden sprayasetuksen
merkiksi. Lyhyt spray kytketään takaisin painamalla painiketta kerran uudelleen.
Vihreä valo välkähtää kerran muutoksen merkiksi. Sprayasetuksia voi vaihtaa milloin tahansa painamalla
harmaata painiketta.

Laitteen sammuttaminen

Sammuta laite painamalla harmaata painiketta, kunnes punainen valo välkähtää kahdesti. Vihreä valo
ei enää vilku.

Huomautus: Laitteen toiminta suositellaan tarkastettavaksi ennen jokaista käyttöä puhaltamalla
mikrofoniin.

Säädä spraypanta koiran kaulaan siten, että päällä/pois-painike on ulkopuolella
ja täyttöventtiili ja paristolokeron kansi osoittavat alaspäin (R).

Suosituksia ja kieltoja

• Pantaa tulee käyttää vain häiritsevän haukkumisen aikana ja enintään kahdeksan tuntia päivässä.

• Panta tulee täyttää enimmäismäärään asti ennen kuin se puetaan koiran kaulaan.

• Älä koskaan täytä laitetta koiran pitäessä sitä, koska täyttöventtiili saattaa vaurioitua.

• Varmistaaksesi, ettei koirasi yhdistä sinua spraypantaan, älä anna sen nähdä sinua valmistelemassa

laitetta ensimmäistä kokeilua varten tai sitä seuraavia käyttökertoja varten. Pidä koirasi loitolla, kun
valmistelet laitetta, täytät sen tai vaihdat sen pariston.

• On tärkeää, etteivät koiran karvat tuki sprayventtiiliä. Kokeile huivin (nenäliinan) sitomista koiran

kaulan ympärille ja aseta sitten spraypanta sen päälle. Tarpeen vaatiessa voit myös harkita koiran
kaulan ympärillä olevan karvan vähäistä leikkaamista, jotta saavutettaisiin parempi sprayvaikutus.

• Ota pois kaikki muut pannat, joissa on metallisia osia tai nastoja. Nämä voivat aiheuttaa melua,

joka aktivoi spraylaitteen tarpeettomasti.

• Älä koskaan kiinnitä Anti-Bark Spray Collar™ Spray haukunestopanta talutushihnaa.

• Vältä laitteen pitämistä koiralla, kun sen säiliö on tyhjä. Varmista, että se on aina täynnä.

• Kytke laite pois päältä, kun se ei ole käytössä.

• Järjestelmää tulee käyttää vain yli kuuden kuukauden ikäisillä lemmikeillä. Jos lemmikkisi on

vammautunut tai sen liikkuvuus on muuten heikentynyt, ota ennen käyttöä yhteyttä eläinlääkäriisi tai
ammattikouluttajaan.

Tärkeitä huomioita

2. PetSafe® Anti-Bark Spray Collar™ Spray haukunestopanta saa käyttää vain terveillä koirilla.

3. Haukunestopanta on roisketiivis mutta ei täysin vesitiivis. Riisu se aina, kun koirasi haluaa uida.

4. Pidä laite aina puhtaana. Älä upota sitä veteen puhdistettaessa. Pyyhi liat pois kuivalla kankaalla.

5. Älä jätä laitetta ilman valvontaa, sillä koirasi voi napata sen ja vaurioittaa sitä pureskelemalla.

6. Varmista, että käytössä olevissa paristoissa riittää virtaa laitteen käyttöön. Laite toimii 3 voltin CR2-

paristoilla, joita PetSafe® pitää saatavilla.

7. Mikrofoni on kalibroitu niin, ettei se aktivoidu lähistöllä kuuluvista äänistä. Toisen koiran haukunta

lyhyen välimatkan sisällä voisi kuitenkin aiheuttaa sprayn levittämistä laitteesta.

8. Älä koskaan täytä laitetta millään muulla kuin valmistajan toimittamalla aineella. Muiden aineiden

käyttäminen, ja myös laitteen avaaminen, mitätöivät valmistajan takuun.

9. Jos koirasi yrittää ottaa laitteen pois, pakkaukseen kuuluvan pannan sijaan voidaan käyttää valjaita.

10. Hypoallergeeninen spraytölkki on painepakkaus. Sitä ei saa puhkaista, kuumentaa tai heittää

avotuleen, sillä se voi räjähtää.

11 . Laitetta ei saa altistaa jäätymislämpötiloille tai olosuhteille, joissa lämpötila on yli 45 °C. Varo

erityisesti jättämästä laitetta suoraan auringonvaloon, kuten ikkunalle tai autoon kesällä jne.

12. Älä yritä itse korjata laitetta itse. Se mitätöi takuun ja tekee korjaamisesta vaikeampaa. Jos

spraypanta ei toimi, soita asiakaspalvelukeskukseemme.

Käyttöehdot ja vastuurajoitus

1. Käyttöehdot

Tämän tuotteen käytön edellytyksenä on, että hyväksyt ilman muutoksia tässä esitetyt ehdot ja

luonne tai koko/paino ei välttämättä sovi tuotteelle (katso tämän käyttöoppaan kohta ”Järjestelmän
toiminta”). Radio Systems Corporation ei suosittele tämän tuotteen käyttöä, jos lemmikkisi on
aggressiivinen, eikä yhtiö ota mitään vastuuta sopivuudesta yksittäisiin tapauksiin. Jos olet epävarma
tämän tuotteen sopivuudesta lemmikillesi, ota yhteys eläinlääkäriin tai valtuutettuun kouluttajaan

Pariston hävitys

The Bark Control Collar is not a toy. Keep it away from the reach of children.
Use it only for its bark stopping purpose.

Risk of skin damage. Please read and follow the instructions in this manual.
Proper fit of the collar is important. A collar worn for too long or made too tight
on the pet’s neck may cause skin damage. Ranging from redness to pressure
ulcers; this condition is commonly known as bed sores.

• Avoid leaving the collar on the dog for more than 12 hours per day.

• When possible, reposition the collar on the pet’s neck every 1 to 2hours.

• Check the fit to prevent excessive pressure; follow the instructions in
thismanual.

• Never connect a lead to the electronic collar.

• When using a separate collar for a lead, don’t put pressure on the
electronic collar.

• Wash the dog’s neck area and the contact area of the collar weekly with a
damp cloth.

• Examine the contact area daily for signs of a rash or a sore.

• If a rash or sore is found, discontinue use of the collar until the skin
hashealed.

• If the condition persists beyond 48 hours, see your veterinarian.

These steps will help keep your pet safe and comfortable. Some pets are
sensitive to contact pressure. You may find after some time that your pet is
very tolerant of the collar. If so, you may relax some of these precautions. It is
important to continue daily checks of the contact area. If redness or sores are
found, discontinue use until the skin has fullyhealed.

The Bark Control Collar must be used only on healthy dogs over 6 months of
age. We recommend that you take your dog to a veterinarian before using the
collar if he is not in good health.

How It Works

The Anti-Bark Spray Collar™ Spray Bark Control was designed to assist you in training your dog and
controlling his nuisance barking. Its comforting effect allows dogs to adapt easily and quietly to their
environment while providing peace of mind to their owners.

The Anti-Bark Spray Collar

™

Spray Bark Control is highly efficient because it distracts the animal’s
primary sensory perceptions in a harmless, painless way. The system works automatically and requires
no human intervention. Your dog will stop barking while wearing the collar. However, the effect of the
Anti-Bark Spray Collar

™

Spray Bark Control is not permanent. If you stop using the collar, your dog
will eventually resume barking. In order to reduce barking permanently without constantly using the
device, you will have to combine the spray bark collar with proper training and elements of behaviour

Adjusting the collar to the spray device

1. Remove the keeper from the black collar (A). Pass the black collar (B) through the loops of the spray

device (C). Put the keeper back on the collar (D). The curved edge of the keeper should face inward.

2. Feed the free end of the collar into the slot of the buckle that is closest to the PetSafe

®

logo, from the

back to the front (E). Then, thread the free end of the collar through the outside slot, from the front to
the back (F). The free end should now hang on the outside, then thread the keeper (G). When you
have completed this section, the assembled collar looks as shown (H).

Take off all other collars your dog may be wearing and place the spray collar
around his neck, making sure the spray valve is directed toward the snout. Adjust
the collar to fit like a regular collar. You should be able to easily pass two fingers
between your dog’s neck and the device (I). We suggest that you check the collar
regularly to make sure that it is well adjusted.

Note: If these instructions are not properly followed, the buckle can easily be pulled
off the collar. This could lead to the device being lost or damaged.

Your dog must get used to the device before you actually start using it. We suggest
that you make your dog wear the Anti-Bark Spray Collar™ Spray Bark Control 4 to
5 days before inserting the battery and filling the device. At the same time, we also
suggest that you remove and put the collar back on your dog frequently.

Filling the device

The Anti-Bark Spray Collar™ Spray Bark Control has a see-through reservoir with a level indicator to help
you see when your reservoir is getting empty (J).

1. Set the device on a flat surface with the fill-up valve (the deepest cavity) turned upwards (K). Shake

the spray can before using it.

2. Hold the can upside down, then insert the aerosol tip in the fill-up valve (L) – press down firmly for

10 seconds (M). Release pressure and press down for another 10 seconds, then release.

Note: If spray is escaping as you attempt to fill the device, increase the downward pressure on the
refill can to get a better seal. When completely filled, there should be enough gas in your device for
18-23sprays.

Inserting the battery

The battery compartment is on the same side as the fill-up valve (N). Remove the battery cover by
twisting it and insert the 3-volt battery (the + end first) (O). Twist the cover back on (a coin can be used to
help you remove and put back the cover) (P).

Note: If the red light flickers three consecutive times, the collar battery is low and needs to be changed.

Turning on the device

To turn on the device, press the grey button on the front of the device (Q). The green
light will flash once, indicating the power is on; the green light will flicker every few
seconds. Your device, already preset in short spray mode, is now ready to function.
To change to a longer spray, press the same grey button once. The green light will
flash twice to confirm the new spray setting. To go back to the shorter spray, press
the button once again. The green light will flash once to confirm the change. You
can switch spray settings at will by simply pressing the grey button.

Turning off the device

To turn off the device, press the grey button until the red light flashes twice. The green light will no
longerflicker.

Note: Before every use, it is best to test the device by blowing into the microphone.

Adjust the spray collar onto the dog’s neck with the on/off button facing outward
and the fill-up valve and battery cover facing downward (R).

Spray Bark Control will now react when your dog
barks. Training, in addition to the use of the device, will accelerate and consolidate
the desired behaviour modification.

Do’s and Don’ts

• The collar should be worn only during periods of nuisance barking and no more than eight hours

perday.

• The collar must be filled to maximum capacity before placing it around your dog’s neck.

• Never fill the device while your dog is wearing it because it may damage the fill-up valve.

• To ensure that your dog does not make the connection between you and the spray collar, don’t let

him see you prepare the device, neither for the first try, nor for subsequent use. Keep your dog away
while you prepare the device as well as when you fill it or change the battery. A B C

• It is important that your dog’s hair doesn’t block the spray valve. Try tying a bandanna

(handkerchief) around your dog’s neck, then place the spray collar over. If necessary, you may also
consider trimming a little of the long hair around the dog’s throat for better spray effect.

• Remove all other collars with metallic parts or tags. These could create noise that may needlessly

activate the spraying device.

• Never fasten a lead to the Anti-Bark Spray Collar

™

.

• Avoid letting your dog wear the device with an empty reservoir. Make sure it is always full.

• Turn OFF the device while not in use.

• The system should only be used with pets who are over 6 months of age. If your pet is injured or its

mobility is otherwise impaired, contact your veterinarian or professional trainer before use.

Important Remarks

1. This device is not a toy. Keep it away from the reach of children. Use it only for its bark-

stoppingpurpose.

2. The PetSafe® Anti-Bark Spray Collar™ Spray Bark Control must be used only on healthy dogs. We

recommend that you take your dog to a veterinarian before using the collar if he is not in good health.

3. The Bark Collar is splash proof but not completely watertight. Remove it each time your dog wants to

go for a swim.

4. Keep the device clean at all times. Do not immerse it in water when cleaning. Simply use a dry cloth

to wipe away dirt.

5. Do not leave your device unattended where your dog could get a hold of it and damage it

throughchewing.

6. Make sure that the batteries you are using are still adequate to operate the device. The device

requires 3 volt CR2 batteries, easily available from PetSafe®.

7. The microphone is calibrated so it won’t be activated by nearby sounds. However, the barking of

another dog at close range could cause the device to spray.

8. Never fill the device with any other substance than the one provided by the manufacturer. Using

another substance, as well as opening the device, will void the manufacturer’swarranty.

9. If your dog tries to take off the device, a harness can be used instead of the collar provided in the kit.

10. The hypo-allergenic spray can is a pressurized container. Do not pierce it, heat it or dispose of it in a

fire as it may explode.

11 . Do not expose the device neither to freezing temperatures nor to conditions warmer than 45o C.

Be particularly careful not to leave the device in direct sunlight, either by a window or in a car on a
summer day, etc.

12. Do not attempt to repair the device yourself. This will invalidate the warranty, and make repairing

more difficult. If the spray collar doesn’t work, call our customer service centre.

3. No Unlawful or Prohibited Use

This Product is designed for use with pets only. This pet training device is not intended to harm, injure
or provoke. Using this Product in a way that is not intended could result in violation of Federal, State
or local laws.

4. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Radio Systems Corporation or any of its associated companies be liable for (i) any
indirect, punitive, incidental, special or consequential damage and/or (ii) any loss or damages
whatsoever arising out of or connected with the misuse of this Product. The Purchaser assumes all

5. Modification of Terms and Conditions

Radio Systems Corporation reserves the right to change the terms, conditions and notices governing
this Product from time to time. If such changes have been notified to you prior to your use of this

Separate collection of spent batteries is required in many regions; check the regulations in your area

This device operates on 1 battery of the type lithium with 3 Volt capacity, replace only with
equivalent battery.
