INSTALLATION TIPS OPERATION TIPS

Choose a mounting location suitable to
support the full weight of the system when
operating

Use minimum 1/2" O.D. tubing, or
equivalent, from the outlet of the filtration
unit to the steamer/combi-oven

Use the water from the SC Series unit only
on steamer/combi-oven feed and
make-up water

Do not use to treat condensate
cooling water

Install vertically with cartridges
hanging down

Prior to connecting the SC series system
outlet to the steamer, run water through
the unit and water lines to purge air,
particles and debris

Replace CG5-20 Carbon Block cartridge
whenever its capacity is reached
(12,000 gal) (45,424 L) or when it becomes
excessively dirty (observed visually or by
flow restriction)

Change SS-10 ScaleStick cartridge before
Hydroblend™ compound is completely
used up

Always flush the filter cartridge at time of
installation and cartridge change

Improves performance, maximizes energy
efficiency and increases the life of
steam equipment

Reduces chlorine-induced corrosion

Long lasting SS-10 cartridge for

The contaminants or other substances removed or reduced by this drinking
water system are not necessarily in your water. Do not use with water that is
microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before
or after the system. Systems certified for cyst reduction may be used with disinfected
water that may contain filterable cysts.

WARRANTY

Everpure water treatment systems by Pentair® (excluding replaceable elements) are
covered by a limited warranty against defects in material and workmanship for a period
of five years after date of purchase. Everpure replaceable elements (filter cartridges
and water treatment cartridges) are covered by a limited warranty against defects in
material and workmanship for a period of one year after date of purchase. See printed
warranty for details. Pentair will provide a copy of the warranty upon request.
