Calipsa® Dahua Integration User Guide

Introduction

This guide covers the steps required to integrate your Dahua cameras with the Calipsa platform. Other
common integration steps, such as configuring your system to send alarms to your gmail account are
also covered.

Dahua

Adding a Dahua NVR to Calipsa

There are two ways to add a Dahua site to Calipsa. The first wayto add a Dahua site to Calipsa is
Automatic.We recommend you do the automatic setup because all the configuration is done through the
Calipsa portal. The second way is Manualwhere you would remotely log into the NVR and change the
email settings. This guide includes instructions for both processes.

Automatic Setup

Creating a Site

1. Under Add sites, enter the Site Name.

2. Under Timezone, select the site's timezone from the drop-down list.

3. Under is this a DVR/NVR site, select Yes.

4. Under Camera Brand, select Dahua.

5. Under Setup mode, select Automatic.

6. Under Notification email enter the email address where you would like Calipsa to forward alarm
events to e.g., Immix S-number, Gmail address, etc.

7. Under DVR/NVR Credentials, enter all relevant information.

Host/IP: IP address of the Dahua NVR

HTTP Port: HTTP port of the Dahua NVR

Server Port: Server (TCP) port for the Dahua NVR

l

Username: Username for the Dahua NVR

l

Password: Password for the Dahua NVR

8. Click Add site.

Setup Unsuccessful

If any information was entered incorrectly, the setup will be unsuccessful. The notification lists possible
reasons.

1. ClickGo backto return to the configuration page.

2. Enterthe correct information.

3. Click Add site.

Note:Automatic connection requires a direct connection from Calipsa to the NVR via the Server Port.
Firewalls, VPNs, and other security features may block this connection.
