Insert the removal tools into the
slots on each side of the radio.
Unclip, pull and lift the radio making
sure you properly disconnect the
connector and the antenna.
Using the plastic trim tools, unclip
the display and the air vent.
Then remove them without
disconnecting them.

Using the plastic trim tools,
unclip the clip located on the left
of the dashboard.
Release the fuse box cover.

the cabin light without disconnecting
it.

Using a jumper or a pigtail
connection connect a wire to the
YELLOW wire on the top left.
(Opposite the connector.)
Finding an ACC wire
On the DIAG socket, unclip the
left-hand side, then push the
socket to the back and bring it out
through the top.
Insulate with electrical tape.
Push the connector back and
clip it into its housing.
Pass the wire from underneath
the steering wheel towards the
radio housing.

For adapter 86165/9706AP (CK range): Cut
the orange wire between the fuse holder,
cut the ISO connector (supplied) and
connect the ACC wire.
For adaptor 84744/9706AT (MKi range):
disconnect the blue wire in front of the
fuse, then connect the ACC wire.

Microphone feeding 1 / 2
Run the microphone cable inside and
towards the windscreen.
Make a hole in the cabin light
vanes.
Stick the bracket (supplied) to the
windscreen after thoroughly cleaning
the surface.
Using the plastic trim tools, run the
cable under the headliner and into
the windscreen post
on the driver's side.

Run the cable replacing the seal
on the driver's side door.
Pass the cable into the dashboard
on the left side.

Feeding the accessory cable
Pass a guide from the glove box
towards the radio housing.
Pass the cable through the hole at
the bottom inside the glove box.

Mount the supplied cover on the
cable.
Then bring it out leaving
sufficient length.

Fitting the hands-free system 1 / 2
Connect the adaptor to the original connector.
Connect all of the wires to the blue box as
shown in the diagram below. Test before
refitting, then slide the assembly behind the
screen after refitting the radio.

Run the bracket cable between
the screen and the air vents.
Stick the bracket supplied to the
left of the WARNING button after
having cleaned the surface. Then
re-fit the screen and the air vents.
(BE CAREFUL not to cut the cable)

Testing
Before refitting the system, switch the kit on using the
ignition (or by starting the car). By pushing the central knob
of the remote control, check:
1 - That the menu is displayed on the screen. (Language or iPod.)
2 - That the system can be muted. (Click in the blue box.)
3 - That there is no sound coming from the speakers.
4 - That the sound from the voice menu is coming out of the front speakers.
5 - Then turn off the ignition, check that the kit switches off and that the "goodbye" message appears on the screen. (If this fails, reverse the fuses on the kit's wiring harness.)
6 - Pair a telephone with the kit to make a call. (Check that both the microphone and the kit are working.)

Reassembly
Refit the system using the following procedure:
1 - Reconnect the adaptor and the antenna and refit the radio. (Put the blue box with the cables on top.)
2 – Re-fit the screen. (Be CAREFUL not to cut the cable.)
3 - Clip the fuse box cover back on. (Push firmly.)
4 – Re-fit the panel on the left-hand side of the dashboard.
