If the handset is not on the base unit or charger
The backlight will turn off completely after 1 minute of inactivity, even when:
– on a call – operating the answering system To use the handset when it is in screen saver mode, activate the handset display again by: –pressing {^} or {V} when on a call or operating the answering system –pressing {i} for all other times
While charging
The backlight will be dimmed after 1 minute of inactivity. The backlight can be turned off
completely depending on the setting. To use the handset when it is in screen saver mode, lift the handset to activate the handset display again.

Using the navigator key
Press {^}, {V}, {<}, or {>} to navigate through menus and to select items shown on the display.
Adjusting the receiver or speaker volume
Press {^} or {V} while on a call.

to change certain base unit settings. The default PIN is 0000.
What do I need to do to display caller information?
LYou need to subscribe to Caller ID service. Consult your
service provider/telephone company for details.
Registering a handset to a base unit
The supplied handset and base unit are pre-registered. If for some reason the handset is not registered to the base unit, register the handset.
1 Press and hold {x} on the base unit for
about 5 seconds until a beep is heard. LIf all registered handsets start ringing,
press {x} to stop, then repeat this step.
LAfter a beep is heard, the rest of this
procedure must be completed within 1 minute.
