KX-TD170 (8 Station Card), with the 5th digit of the serial number being a “A” or “B”
are NOT compatible with the –4 systems, KX-TD187 (T1 Card) or KX-TD198 (New
Remote). In order for these cards to function you must have a “C” or greater.

If one of the older card is installed on a –4 system with the KX-TD187 (T1 Card) and/or
the KX-TD198 (New Remote), channel 23 and 24 and/or the KX-TD198 (New Remote)
will not operate and you will experience other erratic operations.

If the KX-TD187 (T1 Card) or KX-TD198 (New Remote) card is not used, the older KX­TD170 (8 Station Card) can be used on the –4 without any problems.

To inter-connect a “-2” or later phone systems the KX-TD192 (system inter-connect)
must have a serial number of “6A” or later.
