CHARGING THE BATTERY PACK

At the time of purchase, the b attery pack is n ot charged. Pl ease charge it fully before using it.
It has been found that counterf e it batt ery packs which look very similar to the genuine product are made available to purchase in some markets. Some of these battery packs are not adequately equipped with protective devices to meet the requirements of appropriate safety standards. There is a possibility that these battery packs may lead to fire or explosion. Please be advised that we are not liable for any accident or failure occurring as a result of use of a counterfeit battery pack. To ensure that safe products are used we recommend that a genuine Panasonic battery pack be used.

This camera can be used underwater up to a depth of 3 m (10 feet) for up to 60 minutes continuously. When shooting underwater, set the scene mode setting to underwater . This setting ensures the best colors and audio recording for underwater photography (pages 51 and 84).
Before using your camera underwater, be sure to read the sections “IMPORTANT: ABOUT THE WATERPROOF PERFORMANCE OF THE CAMERA” (page 11) and “MAINTENAN CE AND WATERPROOF PERFORMANCE” (pages 12 to 19) in this manual, and to follow the instructions carefully. Incorrect use may cause water to leak into the camera and damage it.
