The FS62, FS7 and FS6 feature a bright, f/2.8-5.9 LEICA DC VARIO-ELMARIT lens with 4x optical zoom (35mm ﬁlm camera equivalent: 33-132mm). The digital Macro Zoom function, which comes on these models and the FS12, lets you pull subjects even closer than the closest point possible with the wide-angle setting, to capture dramatic close-ups.

Extended battery life with Venus Engine IV

While batteries become smaller to ﬁt into slimmer camera bodies, power consumption continues to grow from more and more camera functions. You get long-life operation of around 330 shots* (FS12), 370 shots* (FS62), 360 shots* (FS7), 400 shots* (FS6), 390 shots* (FS42), or 410 shots* (FS4) on a single battery charge, thanks to new ICs, redesigned circuits, and the energy-saving Venus Engine IV image-processing engine. These improvements work together with an efﬁcient, rechargeable lithium-ion battery to extend the shooting time.

PHOTOfunSTUDIO 3.0 makes it easy and fun to edit or organize a collection of photos. It features a Face Recognition function that recognizes the faces in the pictures stored in your PC and sorts them by face regardless of the camera type you used. Its sophisticated interface lets you enjoy emotion-packed slideshows with a variety of effects and music. Motion images can also be uploaded directly to YouTube™.

The high-resolution, 230,000-dot LCD makes it easier to frame the shot before you shoot and check the results after shooting. It also adds to the fun of viewing your photos with family and friends. The LCD brightness automatically adjusts in 11 steps to match the brightness of your surroundings. This ensures clear viewing even outdoors on a sunny day, and improves viewing comfort in dark rooms.

You can choose a ﬂower, heart or other icon for the display’s focus mark**. And the Photo Frame mode**, which is one of the Scene modes, lets you add attractive photo borders (for 2M photos or less).
