Cleaning the PD/CD drive using a CD lens cleaner (except the liquid type cleaner) is recommended if it malfunctions. Cleaning the PD cartridge or CD using a PD/CD disk cleaner (LF-K022DC) is recommended once every 2 or 3 months.

When dust or dirt accumulates on the PD cartridge, more time is required to format the PD cartridge. As soot stuck on the lens may shorten the life of the drive, do not try to use the computer under a smoky environment.
