Troubleshooting
Synchronizing maps takes a long time. Is this normal?
Yes, the bigger the map, the longer it takes to synchronize. Synchronizing a large number of maps also takes longer. Look at the HotSync Progress dialog box to see what stage the process is in.
During software setup, I was asked for a passkey when I selected the GPS receiver as my GPS device—what is this passkey for?
Your device uses the passkey to establish a Bluetooth connection with the GPS receiver. The passkey for the GPS receiver is 6268. For detailed information about establishing a Bluetooth connection, read the documentation for your device.
I completed the software setup, but I can’t find the Navigator icon on my Home screen.
Remove the expansion card from the slot and reinsert it. Navigator starts automatically when you reinsert the card.
Where can I get customer support if I need it?
See the User Guide on the TomTom installation CD for detailed information about navigator features. If you still need help, refer to the support section of the TomTom website, www.tomtom.com.
If you have problems with the GPS receiver hardware, refer to the Holux website: www.holux.com.
