Congratulations, and thank you for purchasing a Packard Bell
AudioDream player! The AudioDream incorporates a MP3/WMA player,
FM radio with 20 presets, FM and voice recorder and portable USB data
storage device.
Getting Started
Transfer data to and from the AudioDream
If the AudioDream is switched OFF, push the power switch down to
switch it ON.
1. Insert the Companion CD into the computer and work through the screen
prompts to continue the installation (Windows 98 only). DO NOT connect
the AudioDream to the computer before installation is completed!
2. Pull off the plastic tab to uncover the USB connector of the AudioDream.
3. Use the supplied USB cable to connect the AudioDream to one of your computer's USB ports.
4. Press the "M" button to turn on your AudioDream.
5. The OLED screen displays "READY", indicating that the AudioDream is in USB
mode. The AudioDream will be automatically recognised (in "My Computer") as
a removable media device (Microsoft®Windows®2000, Me and XP).
6. Transfer files to or from the AudioDream using Windows Explorer.
7. After the files have been copied, unplug the AudioDream from your
computer using the "Safely remove hardware" icon in the Notification Area
(next to the clock).
Listen to WMA/MP3 music files
1. Connect the supplied headphones to the headphone socket.
2. Use the AudioDream controls to adjust playback and volume level to listen
to your music.
Listening to loud sounds for prolonged periods may permanently damage
your hearing. Before putting on the headphones, place them around your
neck and turn the volume down. Then put the headphones on and slowly
increase the volume until you find a comfortable listening level.

Nous vous félicitons et vous remercions d'avoir acheté un lecteur
AudioDream Packard Bell ! L'AudioDream intègre un lecteur MP3/WMA,
une radio FM avec 20 présélections, un dictaphone et enregistreur FM, ainsi
qu'un périphérique de stockage USB portable.
Premiers pas
Transférez vos données vers/depuis l'AudioDream
Si l'AudioDream est hors tension, baissez le bouton d'alimentation pour
le mettre sous tension.
1. Insérez le CD des programmes compagnons dans l'ordinateur et suivez
les instructions qui s'affichent à l'écran pour poursuivre l'installation (uniquement avec Windows 98). NE BRANCHEZ PAS l'AudioDream sur votre ordinateur avant d'avoir terminé l'installation !
2. Soulevez la languette plastique pour accéder au connecteur USB de l'AudioDream.
3. Connectez l'AudioDream sur l'un des ports USB de votre ordinateur à l'aide
du câble USB fourni.
4. Appuyez sur le bouton « M » de votre AudioDream pour le mettre sous tension.
5. L'écran OLED affiche « PRET », indiquant ainsi que l'AudioDream est en
mode USB. L'AudioDream sera automatiquement reconnu (dans « Poste de
travail ») comme périphérique de stockage amovible (Microsoft®Windows
®
2000, Me et XP). Transférez des fichiers vers ou depuis l'AudioDream au
moyen de l'Explorateur Windows.
6. Lorsque vous avez terminé de copier vos fichiers, débranchez l'AudioDream
de votre ordinateur en cliquant sur l'icône « Retirer le périphérique en toute
sécurité » dans la Zone de Notification (près de l'horloge).
Écoutez vos fichiers audio WMA/MP3
1. Branchez le casque fourni dans la fiche correspondante.
2. Utilisez les commandes de l'AudioDream pour régler les options de lecture
et le volume sonore afin d'écouter votre musique.
L'écoute prolongée du baladeur à forte puissance peut endommager
l'oreille de l'utilisateur. Avant d'utiliser le casque, placez-le autour de
votre cou et baissez le volume. Puis mettez le casque sur vos oreilles et
augmentez lentement le volume jusqu'au niveau d'écoute qui vous
semble le plus confortable.

EKNOPTE HANDLEIDING
Wij danken u voor de aanschaf van een Packard Bell AudioDream-speler. De
AudioDream is een MP3/WMA-speler, FM-radio met 20 voorkeuzestations,
FM- en spraakrecorder en draagbaar USB-opslagapparaat in één.
Aan de slag
Gegevens uitwisselen met de AudioDream
Als de AudioDream uitgeschakeld is (OFF), drukt u op de Aan/Uit-knop
om hem in te schakelen.
1. Plaats de Companion-CD in de computer en volg de aanwijzingen op uw
scherm om door te gaan met de installatie (alleen voor Windows 98). Sluit
de AudioDream NIET aan op de computer voordat de installatie is voltooid!
2. Trek het plastic lipje opzij om de USB-aansluiting van de AudioDream vrij te
maken.
3. Gebruik de meegeleverde USB-kabel om de AudioDream aan te sluiten op
een van de USB-poorten op uw computer.
4. Druk kort op de knop "M" om de AudioDream aan te zetten.
5. Op het ingebouwde OLED verschijnt "READY" ("KLAAR"); de AudioDream
staat nu in de USB-modus. De computer herkent de AudioDream automatisch
(in "Deze Computer") als een verwijderbaar media-apparaat (Microsoft
®
Windows®2000, Me en XP)
6. Wissel bestanden uit met de AudioDream door middel van Windows
Explorer.
7. Na het kopiëren van de bestanden koppelt u de AudioDream los van de
computer door middel van het pictogram "Hardware veilig verwijderen" in
het systeemvak (naast de klok).
WMA/MP3-muziekbestanden beluisteren
1. Sluit de meegeleverde hoofdtelefoon aan op de hoofdtelefoonaansluiting.
2. Met de regelaars op de AudioDream stelt u de afspeelwijze en het volume
van uw muziek in.
Langdurig naar harde geluiden luisteren kan uw gehoor onherstelbaar
beschadigen. Leg de hoofdtelefoon eerst om uw nek en verminder het
geluidsvolume. Plaats de hoofdtelefoon daarna op uw oren en verhoog
het volume langzaam tot het gewenste luisterniveau.
