Using theBagel SelectFeature
YourOSTER®Toasterwill adjustthe light/darkrange basedupon thetype of
food youare toasting. You mustselect thebagel buttonif youare toastinga bagel
to adjust totoast onone side.Insert theopen faceof thebagel towardsthe inside
heatingelements. Toastis thedefault settingif nofood orfunction selectbuttons
are chosen.
Using theFrozen FoodFunction
Yourtoaster can defrostyour frozenfood and thentoast it. Nowyou cantake
a frozenbagel outof the freezerand defrostand toast it– all inyour toaster–
all inone easystep.
Todefrost andtoast yourfood:
1.Place foodinto the BreadCarriage.
2.Press theBread Carriage lever.
3.Press theFrozen button ifthe foodis frozen, thenselect yourfood type by
pressing theappropriate button.If no foodis selectedthe toaster willoperate
in toastmode.
4.Select thedesired darkness settingby turningthe Lighter/Darker knob.
Using theCancel Function
Tocancel thetoast process:
Press theCancel button.The toaster willstop toastingimmediately and thefood

Cleaning YourToaster
After useand beforecleaning, unplug thetoaster powercord from the
power outletand waitfor the toasterto cool.

Inserting thefood intothe breadslots andtoasting:
Now youare readyto insert yourfood intothe bread slots.Keep the following
tips inmind wheninserting your food:
• Most types ofbreads andpastries can betoasted, suchas bagels, teacakes,
thickly slicedbreads, Englishmuffins, etc. Slicesshould not,however, beso
thick asto jamthe bread slots.
• When toasting twoslices ata time, theslices shouldbe of equalsize and
freshness toensure eventoasting.
• When toastingtwo slices ofbread,place oneslice inthe centerof eachbreadslot.
• When toastingone sliceof bread,place theslice inthe centerof eitherbreadslot.
After youinsert thefood intothe breadslots:
1. Selectthe desireddarkness setting byturning theLighter/Darker knob.
2. Pressthe breadcarriage lever downuntil itlocks.
The Auto-adjustingbread guideswill automatically centerthe foodfor
even browning.
3. Choosebetween theFood Select Featuresor otherFunctions. If nofood or
function ischosen, toastis the defaultsetting.
Tip: Yourtoaster has been designed for optimum toast balance. Some
elements on the inside of the toaster may glow more brightly than others
when in use. This is part of normal toaster operation.
