IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
To reduce the risk of re, electric shock and/or injury to persons, basic safety precautions
should always be followed when using electrical appliance, including the following:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING.
2. DO NOT touch the appliance’s hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs and the lid or cover
while brewing. Scalding may occur if the lid is removed during brewing cycles.
3. To protect against the risk of electrical shock, DO NOT immerse cord, plug or motor
assembly in water or other liquids.
4. Unplug unit when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning.
5. Avoid contact with moving parts.
6. DO NOT operate any appliance that appears to malfunction in any manner or has a
damaged plug or cord.
7. DO NOT use outdoors.
8. DO NOT let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter.
9. DO NOT let the cord get in contact hot surfaces, including the stove.
10. DO NOT place it on or near a hot gas or electrical burner or in a heated oven.
11. DO NOT operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the unit
malfunctions or is damaged in any manner. To avoid the risk of electric shock,
DO NOT disassemble the appliance. Take it to an Authorized Oster
TM
Service Center for
examination and repair. Incorrect re-assembly can cause a risk of electric shock when the
appliance is used.
12. If the power cord is damaged, it must only be replaced by the manufacturer, its service
agent or similarly qualied personnel in order to avoid a hazard.
13. Use only the stand provided.
14. If appliance was overlled, boiling water may be ejected.
15. DO NOT use appliance for other than intended use.
16. DO NOT remove mixing container from motor base while motor is running.
17. Keep hands and utensils out of the container while mixing to reduce the risk of severe
injury to persons or damage to the machine.
18. Always operate with the lid in place.
19. Be sure to turn the switch off after each use.
20. To disconnect, grip plug and pull from wall outlet. Never pull on cord.
21. Never leave the house while the appliance is on.
22. A short cord is provided to reduce the hazards resulting from becoming entangled in or
tripping over a longer cord.
23. After running the motor continuously for one cycle, wait at least ve minutes before
running another cycle.
24. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do
not play with the appliance.
25. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children, or
incapacitated individuals.

SPECIAL CORD SET INSTRUCTIONS
Please follow the instructions below to ensure the safe use of the power cord.
• Do not pull, twist or otherwise abuse the power cord.
• Do not wrap the power cord around the main body of the appliance during or after use.
• If an extension cord is absolutely necessary, it is important to exercise care in its
use. The marked electrical rating of the extension cord should be the same as
marked electrical or higher than that of the electrical rating of the appliance, The
extension cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter-top
where it can be pulled by children or tripped over.

BEFORE FIRST USE
Before using your Chai and Drink Maker for the rst time, wash the mixing container,
stirrer and lid with soapy water and a soft cloth. Do not immerse the motor base in water.
This may permanently damage the product and void the warranty.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Making Hot and Cold Drinks
Your Chai and Drink Maker was designed to make delicious, hot and cold frothy drinks
using milk or water combined with chai, tea mixes, instant coffee, instant cocoa and
syrups. It was specially designed with a cold mixing device for making cold latte drinks,
milk chocolate, cold coffee and more.
Easy Instructions
The measurements used below produce a 4-cup serving (1 Liter/ 32 oz.). Refer to the
Ingredients Chart to determine usage for alternate serving sizes.
1. Remove the lid from the mixing container.
2. Attach the appropriate accessory as follows:
a. For Stirring: Place the stirrer attachment onto the unit.
b. For Frothing: Place the frothing bottom attachment onto the unit.
3. Pour in water or milk into the mixing container.
4. Add your favorite powder and/or syrup.
5. Place the lid back onto the mixing container as follows:
a. For Stirring: Place lid back onto mixing container ensuring the closed arrow on the
lid is aligned with the closed arrow on the handle of the container.
b. For Frothing: Place the frothing top attachment over the frothing bottom. While
holding the frothing top attachment from the clear tube, turn the unit on until suction
is created that holds the frothing top attachment in place. Place the lid ensuring the
closed arrow on the lid is aligned with the closed arrow on the handle of the container.
6. Plug in the Chai and Drink Maker.
7. Turn the time to Heat Dial to your desired setting. (Please Note: Increasing the time to
heat setting will result in a hotter beverage, adjust to taste. Use the 1- to 2-cup setting
for small batch at milder heat.
8. Turn the timer to the cool mixing setting when you only want to mix the beverage and
do not want to heat it.
9. Let it mix until it reaches the desired consistency.
10. When preparing hot drinks, the unit will turn off automatically after the set time is over. Cold
drinks will continue to stir until the unit is turned off for better avor. Enjoy your beverage.
CAUTION:
If the motor doesn’t turn on while the indicator light is “on”, it means that the motor has
been shut off by the thermostat attached to it. This is a safety feature. Please note the
motor will reset automatically and resume to work normally.
