Warranty
Unless otherwise agreed in a written contract, all Opticon products are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for two years after purchase. Opticon will repair or, at its option, replace products that are defective in materials or workmanship with proper use during the warranty period. Opticon is not liable for damages caused by modifications made by a customer. In such cases, standard repair charges will apply. If a product is returned under warranty and no defect is found, standard repair charges will apply. Opticon assumes no liability for any direct, indirect, consequential or incidental damages arising out of use or inability to use both the hardware and software, even if Opticon has been informed about the possibility of such damages.
Packaging
The packing materials are recyclable. We recommend that you save all packing material to use if you need to transport your cradle or send it for service. Damage caused by improper packaging during shipment is not covered by the warranty.
WEEE Notice
The WEEE logo ( ) on the product and its accessories or on its box indicates that this product must not be disposed of or dumped with your other household wastes. You are liable
to dispose of all your electronic or electrical waste equipment by relocating over to the specified collection point for recycling of such hazardous waste. Isolated collection and proper recovery of your electronic and electrical waste equipment at the time of disposal will allow us to help conserving natural resources. Moreover, proper recycling of the electronic and electrical waste equipment will ensure safety of human health and environment.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
Please read the following information carefully before you start using this Opticon device to avoid any damages caused by improper usage:
• This cradle is designed for use with the Opticon H-19 Pocket PC phone. Do not charge other products using this cradle.
• Do not use accessories which have not been specified by the manufacturer.
• Do not use it if the provided plug does not fit into your outlet.
• Do not connect the AC adapter to an electric transformer.
• Unplug the cradle during lightning storms or when unused for long period of time.
• When discarding the batteries, dispose of them in a proper manner, according to the battery manufacturer’s instructions and your local laws.
• Do not cover the cradle and the AC adapter or USB connector with a cloth or bedding materials during use.
• Do not open the device housing or tamper with the device.
• Do not expose the cradle to direct sunlight, oily smoke, stream, excessive moisture or dust.
• Unplug the AC adapter and USB connector before cleaning.
• Gently wipe the product using a dry, soft cloth.
• Do not touch the connection pins shortly after charging is completed.
• Do not allow any metal object to contact with the connection pins and the AC adapter to avoid a short-circuit.
• Do not touch the plug, AC adapter or cradle with wet hands.
• When the cradle emits unusual noise, smoke or amount of heat, immediately unplug the AC adapter or USB connector and contact the original retailer.

Charging Your Pocket PC Phone
This cradle allows you to recharge your Pocket PC phone (PPC phone) and a second battery (if have) with the AC adapter, as well as using ActiveSync to synchronize date between your PPC phone and your PC.
You can charge your PPC phone and the second battery separately or together. You can also charge your PPC phone and synchronize it with your PC at the same time.
To charge your PPC phone, do the following:

1. Plug the AC adapter into the power jack on the back of the cradle.
2. Plug the other end of the AC adapter into an electrical outlet.
3. Dock your PPC phone into the PDA holder of the cradle. Make sure that their connection pins come into contact with each other.
Charging the Battery
You can fast-charge the battery with the cradle.
1. Plug the AC adapter into the power jack on the back of the cradle.
2. Plug the other end of the AC adapter into an electrical outlet.
3. Insert the battery into the second battery slot of the cradle. Make sure that the battery is oriented correctly. (If you are charging a high capacity battery, remove the removable plastic plate).
Synchronizing with Your PC
You hav e to instal l Ac tiv eSyn c on your P C be fore you can beg in synchronizing.
1. Dock your PPC phone on the PDA holder of the cradle. Make sure that their connection pins come into contact with each other.
2. Plug the USB cable into the USB port of the cradle.
3. Plug the other end of the USB cable into an available USB port on your PC.
4. The USB indicator on the cradle lights in green if there is an electrical current flowing through the cradle successfully. You can then start charging or/and synchronizing your PPC phone.
5. When the synchronization process completes, remove your PPC phone from the cradle.
To charge and synchronize your PPC phone at the same time, connect the AC adapter to the cradle first, and then connect the USB cable.
4. The power indicator on the cradle lights in green if there is an electric current flowing through the cradle successfully.
5. The power LED on your PPC phone lights in orange during charging.
6. When charging is completed, pull your PPC phone up to detach it from the cradle.

4. The second battery status indicator displays the charging status. Remove the battery when charging is completed.
