• Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers and all parts of body away from openings and
moving parts.
• Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches,
or hot ashes.
• Do not use without dustbag or filter in place.
• Do not use to blow leaves or debris.
• Do not vacuum liquids or fine powders (such as drywall dust).
• Do not put any object on the unit.
• Ensure air flows freely to both side intake vents and exhausts unobstructed
from top outlet.
• Do not install the unit horizontally.
• Do not use the pail as a wash pail.
• Do not use the pail as a stool.
• Turn off all controls before unplugging.
• Use extra care when cleaning on stairs.
• Avoid picking up sharp objects.
• Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids such as gasoline or use
in areas where they may be present.
• Do not use with damaged cord or plug. If appliance is not working as it should,
if it has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water, return it
to a service center.
• Do not unplug the unit by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.
• Do not handle plug or appliance with wet hands.
• Connect to a properly grounded outlet only. See grounding instructions on
page 8.
• Any servicing other than that recommended in this manual should be
performed by an authorized service facility.
• We recommend that your unit be inspected by a specialized technician once a
year.
