This document outlines the procedure needed to install the Innovian server databases.

1.4 Prerequisites
Windows 2000 Server with Service Pack 4 and all Hotfixes through 9/15/2003

PC Anywhere 11 (if PC Anywhere or other remote access software is not installed see Appendix A before continuing to section 2.0) All sections of this document assume that you will be installing the databases and configuration applications to the D:\ drive. If that is not the case see Appendix A before proceeding to section
2.0.
The database files (periopdm_data.mdf, PatientInfo_data.mdf, AuditInfo_data.mdf) maintained by the database engine running on the system server. Files that are maintained by the database engine which contains all actions to be performed upon the databases. The database may not always be current with the log file. Data Transformation Service Package A function activated by an event, such as an insert or delete, to ensure referential integrity or to log something in the audit trail. A language specific folder on the Innovian Installation DVD containing necessary files to install Innovain in that language (ex DVD:\Language Packs\EN-US).

2.0 SQL Server 2000, Service Pack 3a, and Hotfix Installation
2.1 Insert the SQL Server 2000 CD into the CD drive or browse to the
installation files located on the Innovian Installation DVD in the Server section and double click setup.bat.
2.2 When this window appears, select SQL Server 2000 Components.

2.3 Select Install Database Server.
2.4 Select Next.

2.5 Select Local Computer and then click Next.
2.6 Select Create a new… and then click Next.

2.7 Enter the appropriate name and company information, and then click
Next.
2.8 Click Yes to agree to the license agreement.

2.9 Select Server and Client Tools and then click Next.

2.12 Select Use the Local System account and then click Next.

2.13 Select Mixed Mode, enter the password chosen by the site
administrator, and then click Next.
2.14 Click Next.

2.15 Enter the license information according to what the site has purchased.
2.16 Shut down any tasks SQL Server needs shut down.
