MJ-31 Service Jig SS-35 Upgrade Kit

The MJ-31 secures and allows easy access to critical areas of the handset’s PWB during troubleshooting. It supports regulated (to 5VDC) or unregulated DC input voltage, local and normal mode operations, headset jack for audio tests, and R-UIM card reader. There is a second DC input for VCHAR used in EM tuning. The jig also supports simultaneous RF connections to the Cellular and GPS engines. A completely functional color UI module is provided on the right side.
The SS-35 Upgrade Kit allows the conversion of a MJS-82 Jig into a MJ-31 Service Jig. The kit contains two PWBs to support the color UI module and two A-cover supports with the required hardware. (When upgrading, reuse the original screws on the MJS-82 Jig.)
Note: New color UI, keymat, and A-covers are not included with the kit
RJ-13 Rework Jig SS-16 Test A-cover

This tool serves as a mechanical holder for de-soldering and soldering of components.
Note: RJ-13 is not intended to serve as a test jig.
Note: Service centers are required to obtain the new jigs made out of Durapol for lead-free rework.
Test A-cover allows the technician to replace the handset’s original A-cover with one that provides access to the cellular and GPS RF connectors.
Note: This accessory only supports the XRS-4 RF Test Cable (not included).

MJF-28 Docking Station Adapter

The MJF-28 works in conjunction with the JBV-1 Docking Station and the FPS-8 Prommer to allow cali­bration and software flashing of the handset. The MUF-28 also has a built-in R-UIM card reader.
Note: Requires a CA-5S DC cable (not included).
The flash-loading adapter replaces the phone battery to provide continuous power to the handset. It allows the service SW to communicate with the handset for flashing and other POS functions. The tool is primarily intended for use at POS locations using the FLS-4S device.
FLA-44 Flash-loading Adapter
Note: Requires an XCS-1 data cable (not included).
JBV-1 Docking Station FPS-8 Flash Prommer

This setup allows connection between flash prommers. The Docking Station can be powered by the FPS-8 or an external power supply.
The Flash Prommer FPS-8 is used for phone flashing at authorized service centers.

The FLS-4S allows Point of Sale (POS) locations to flash the handset and power the FLA-44. The FLS-4S works with the XCS-1 data cable (not included).
The FLC-20 allows Point of Sale (POS) locations to flash the handset and power the FLA-44. This device allows bottom connector flashing.
Note: Requires a CA-22DS service cable (not included).
Note: The FLC-20 is not supported in the APAC and LTA markets.

Designed as a single-cable flashing solution for CDMA handsets that include pop-port connectors. This cable supports Diego, Phoenix, and UPST service tools.
Note: Customers using the UPST application also will require a Spirent protection key (dongle).
Note: The DKU-5F is not supported in the APAC and LTA markets.
The CA-22DS allows bottom connector flashing using the FLS-4S Flash Adapter or the FLC-20 Flash Device.

XCS-4 Mbus/Fbus Cable PKD-1 SW Security Device

The XCS-4 Service Cable is a general purpose cable for flashing and communicating with the phone. This is used to connect the FPS-8 box to the docking station adapter or the service jig.
SW security device PKD-1 is hardware device that, when connected to the parallel (LPT) port of the PC, enables the use of the service software. Without the dongle present, it is not possible to use the service software. Printers or other peripheral devices can be connected to the PC through the dongle, if needed.
Caution: Make sure that you have switched off the PC and the printer before making connections!
Caution: Do not connect the PKD-1 to the serial port. You may damage the PKD-1and/or your PC.

The MBUS cable DAU-9T provides a connection from the serial port of the computer to the system connector of the phone.
This is a general-purpose cable to support F / MBUS communication between a Mod-10 device and a PC.

CA-5S DC Service Cable PCS-1 Power Cable

CA-5S is used for EM calibration with the JBV-1. The cable replaces the SCB-3 DC Cable (0730114).
Note: Required by the MJF-28 Docking Station Adapter.
The Power Cable PCS-1 is used to connect the service tools (JBV-1, MJS-82) to an external power supply.
XCS-1 Service Cable CPL-8 GPS Antenna Coupler

The XCS-1 Service Cable provides both power and communication when flashing the phone using the FLS-4S and the FLA-44.
Use this coupler to test the GPS antenna during hand­set troubleshooting at authorized service centers. The coupler can be attached to or detached from the MJF-28.
Note: The MJF-28 and the coupler assembly fit into the JXS-1 shield box.

The XRS-12 can be used for galvanic RF testing (cellu­lar only). This is an optional tool. (The XRS-12 has a shorter RF probe than the XRS-4.)
Use with MJF-28 and coupler when radiated tests are required.

The AAS-10A allows troubleshooting the handset. You can use the probe with the XRS-6 RF cable.
RJ-18 Power Amp LGA Rework Jig
and ST-16 PA Stencil
The ST-16 stencil allows to rework LGA-type compo­nents that do not have pre-tinned pads. Both Power Amps (N801 and N802) require the use of this stencil. The stencil is designed to specifically fit the PA pad configuration and dimensions. The RJ-18 fits the phys­ical dimension of the PA’s.
Note: Used in conjunction with the SPS-1 Paste Spreader (0770381).
RJ-64 LNA LGA Rework Jig

The ST-24 stencil allows rework on LGA-type compo­nents that do not have pre-tinned pads. The LNA (N750) require the use of this stencil. The stencil is designed to specifically fit the LNA pad configuration and dimensions. The rework jig fits the physical dimen­sion of the LNA.
The ST-25 stencil allows rework on LGA-type compo­nents that do not have pre-tinned pads. The TX RF IC (N601) requires the use of this stencil. The stencil is designed to specifically fit the IC pad configuration and dimensions. The rework jig fits the physical dimen­sion of the IC.
