The MJ-31 secures and allows easy access to critical
areas of the handset’s PWB during troubleshooting. It
supports regulated (to 5VDC) or unregulated DC input
voltage, local and normal mode operations, headset
jack for audio tests, and R-UIM card reader. There is a
second DC input for VCHAR used in EM tuning. The jig
also supports simultaneous RF connections to the
Cellular and GPS engines. A completely functional
color UI module is provided on the right side.
The SS-35 Upgrade Kit allows the conversion of a
MJS-82 Jig into a MJ-31 Service Jig. The kit contains
two PWBs to support the color UI module and two
A-cover supports with the required hardware. (When
upgrading, reuse the original screws on the MJS-82
Jig.)
Note: New color UI, keymat, and A-covers are not
included with the kit
RJ-13 Rework JigSS-16 Test A-cover
07705740770771
This tool serves as a mechanical holder for de-soldering
and soldering of components.
Note: RJ-13 is not intended to serve as a test jig.
Note: Service centers are required to obtain the new jigs
made out of Durapol for lead-free rework.
Test A-cover allows the technician to replace the
handset’s original A-cover with one that provides
access to the cellular and GPS RF connectors.
Note: This accessory only supports the XRS-4 RF Test
Cable (not included).

Docking Station and the FPS-8 Prommer to allow calibration and software flashing of the handset. The
MUF-28 also has a built-in R-UIM card reader.
Note: Requires a CA-5S DC cable (not included).
The flash-loading adapter replaces the phone battery
to provide continuous power to the handset. It allows
the service SW to communicate with the handset for
flashing and other POS functions. The tool is primarily
intended for use at POS locations using the FLS-4S
device.
FLA-44 Flash-loading Adapter
Note: Requires an XCS-1 data cable (not included).
JBV-1 Docking StationFPS-8 Flash Prommer
07702980080321
This setup allows connection between flash prommers.
The Docking Station can be powered by the FPS-8 or
an external power supply.
The Flash Prommer FPS-8 is used for phone flashing at
authorized service centers.
The FLS-4S allows Point of Sale (POS) locations to flash
the handset and power the FLA-44. The FLS-4S works
with the XCS-1 data cable (not included).
The FLC-20 allows Point of Sale (POS) locations to flash
the handset and power the FLA-44. This device allows
bottom connector flashing.
Note: Requires a CA-22DS service cable (not included).
Note: The FLC-20 is not supported in the APAC and LTA
markets.
DKU-5F Flash CableCA-22DS Flash Cable
00807380730311
Designed as a single-cable flashing solution for CDMA
handsets that include pop-port connectors. This cable
supports Diego, Phoenix, and UPST service tools.
Note: Customers using the UPST application also will
require a Spirent protection key (dongle).
Note: The DKU-5F is not supported in the APAC and LTA
markets.
The CA-22DS allows bottom connector flashing using
the FLS-4S Flash Adapter or the FLC-20 Flash Device.

XCS-4 Mbus/Fbus CablePKD-1 SW Security Device
07301780750018
The XCS-4 Service Cable is a general purpose cable for
flashing and communicating with the phone. This is
used to connect the FPS-8 box to the docking station
adapter or the service jig.
SW security device PKD-1 is hardware device that,
when connected to the parallel (LPT) port of the PC,
enables the use of the service software. Without the
dongle present, it is not possible to use the service
software. Printers or other peripheral devices can be
connected to the PC through the dongle, if needed.
Caution: Make sure that you have switched off the PC
and the printer before making connections!
Caution: Do not connect the PKD-1 to the serial port.
You may damage the PKD-1and/or your PC.
DAU-9T FBUS CableDAU-9S F/MBUS Cable
07302670730108
The MBUS cable DAU-9T provides a connection from
the serial port of the computer to the system
connector of the phone.
This is a general-purpose cable to support F / MBUS
communication between a Mod-10 device and a PC.
CA-5S is used for EM calibration with the JBV-1. The
cable replaces the SCB-3 DC Cable (0730114).
Note: Required by the MJF-28 Docking Station Adapter.
The Power Cable PCS-1 is used to connect the service
tools (JBV-1, MJS-82) to an external power supply.

RJ-18 Power Amp LGA Rework Jig
and ST-16 PA Stencil
The ST-16 stencil allows to rework LGA-type components that do not have pre-tinned pads. Both Power
Amps (N801 and N802) require the use of this stencil.
The stencil is designed to specifically fit the PA pad
configuration and dimensions. The RJ-18 fits the physical dimension of the PA’s.
Note: Used in conjunction with the SPS-1 Paste
Spreader (0770381).
The ST-24 stencil allows rework on LGA-type components that do not have pre-tinned pads. The LNA
(N750) require the use of this stencil. The stencil is
designed to specifically fit the LNA pad configuration
and dimensions. The rework jig fits the physical dimension of the LNA.
The ST-25 stencil allows rework on LGA-type components that do not have pre-tinned pads. The TX RF IC
(N601) requires the use of this stencil. The stencil is
designed to specifically fit the IC pad configuration
and dimensions. The rework jig fits the physical dimension of the IC.
