The COOLPIX L1 features 15 specially programmed modes to automatically handle focus, exposure, white balance and other adjust-
ments that help you take great pictures at the press of a button. A great new function to be used in the Portrait Mode is Face Priority AF which automatically fi nds the subject’s face and focuses on it. 4 of the 15 scene modes come with Scene Assist which offer a selection of easy framing assist options to help you compose your pictures with the assistance of framing guides displayed in the monitor. Here is how it works:

Sunset Exposure is automatically controlled, enabling you
to preser ve the exquisite, natural beau ty of a sunset.
Beach/Snow When shooting a scene with sno w or
water in the background, the image is free of gray ish tones that are caused by typical underexposure.
Landscape Emphasizing depth-of-fi eld, this mode
captures distant scenes sharply and cl early, for postcard like landscape pictures.
Close Up Shoot as close as 1.6” from your subjec t.
Panorama Assist A llows you to take several side -by-sid e images, all at t he same
exposure and white balance setting, then combine them later usin g the “Panorama
