WASHER SAFETY
Save these instructions
To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, or injury when using your washer, adhere to the following basic precautions.
Read all instructions before using your washer
 Flammable fluids (dry cleaning solvents,
Do not add flammable fluids to your wash water. These substances give off
vapours that can create a fire hazard or explosion.
 The appliance is not intended for use by
young children or infirm persons without adequate supervisions.
 Young children should be supervised to
ensure they do not play with the appliance.
 After starting a washing cycle, do not
reach into the spin basket until all motion has stopped.
 Do not tamper with the controls.  If the appliance is supplied from an
extension cord set or electrical portable outlet device, it should be positioned so it
is not subjected to splashing or ingress moisture.
 If the supply cord is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer or qualified service agent in order to avoid any
potential hazard.
Please….  Have only a qualified person install,
repair, or replace parts on the washer.
 Maintain washer properly.  Protect washer from the weather and
keep it where the temperature will not fall below freezing.
 Do no install the washer at a place of
extremely high humidity. It could cause an electrical shock or a short circuit.
 Connect washer to the correct outlet,
electrical supply, water supply, and drain supply.
 Ground washer properly.
Understanding your responsibilities
 Do not use chlorine bleach and ammonia or acid (such as vinegar or rust remover) in the
same wash. Hazardous fumes can form.
 Do not wash fibreglass materials. Small particles can stick to fabrics washed in following
loads and cause skin irritation.
 Do not use hot water if standard temperature is over 50C (122F). It could cause
deformation of plastic parts.
 Do not spray water on the control panel and back cover of the washer. It could cause fire
or electric shock.
In case of the dual valve model, if you can connect the cold-water inlet only, while the
temperature is selected as hot or warm, there can be water leakage from the unconnected water valve.

POINTS FOR ATTENTION
Do not allow power supply cables to be damaged, bent, strained or twisted to excess, tied up or
transformed, nor load them with weights or put weights in between them. The user must never
employ power supply cables/plugs which have been damaged or sockets which have come loose. All
power supply cable replacements should be referred to your NEC Service Centre.
Before washing items, please empty loose objects e.g. coins, from items.
Fit power supply cables into AC 230V special sockets with good earthing.
To prevent deformation of plastics, do not use hot water with a temperature over 50°C for washing.
Do not put in waterproof or down fabrics for washing.
Do not stand on the machine or place heavy objects on it
Unplug the machine and turn off water tap when not using the machine.
Please do not attempt to operate the washing machine with the lid open.
Make sure that water tap is turned on and water inlet pipe well connected during wash.

INSTALLATION
CONNECTION OF DRAIN HOSE
• Direct drain hose at the washer drain outlet until it is completely encased by the outlet.
• Check if the connection is secured.

DOWNWARD DRAIN WASHER (FOR NON PUMP MODELS)
• The height should not exceed 8cm.
• For an extension hose, please use a pipe of over 3cm inner diameter and less than 1.5m
in length.
• Do not place the drain hose nozzle in water.
UPWARD DRAIN WASHER
• To prevent water from flowing backwards, the drain pipe should be 60-90cm above ground.
• Place the end of drain pipe in washing tub and fasten the pipe so that it might not come loose
under water pressure or with interference by children at play.
• Use the U-shaped drainage system beneath washing tub. Drain pipe must be 60-90cm above
ground.
ADJUSTMENT OF DRIANAGE DIRECTION
• Remove the fixing screw of the drain hose nozzle and push the nozzle in.
• When lying the washer down, be sure not to damage the power supply cable and the
coupling.
• Extricate the inner drain hose from the drain hose clip at the back.
• Push down the tightly closed cap over the fixed nozzle opposite
and place it on the side which has been left empty.
• Turn the drain hose nozzle to the fixed nozzle opposite.
• Fix the drain hose nozzle with a screw.
• Insert the drain hose into the fixed hose clip.
ATTENTION
Do not worry when you open the washer to find water accumulated in it. This has come from the
test which each washer has to go through before leaving the factory.
NOTE: The instructions for appliances connected to the water mains shall state
• the maximum inlet water pressure, in pascals
• the minimum inlet water pressure, in pascals, if this is necessary for the correct operation of the appliance, the instructions for appliances connected to the water mains by detachable hose sets shall state that the new hose-sets supplied with the
appliance are to be used and that old hose sets should be used.
