MODE SWITCH
Aim - When Aim is ON an d the PIR Motion Sens or detects mot ion, the Status Indic ator’s red LED on the fr ont of the camera wi ll come on and
remain lit
as long as motion is detected.
Custom Star t - Set and run came ra with custom se ttings. Quick Start - Set and run camera wi th pre-dene d settings.
NAVIGATION BUTTONS
The Menu But ton selects Ca mera Setup or Main S creen. When Came ra Setup is selec ted, the LEFT and RIG HT buttons naviga te through the menu options. The M enu Button is also u sed to wake-up the c amera and turn on th e display when the cam era is in power saving (or sl eep) mode. The OK button se lects the item t o be changed. The UP/DOWN an d LEFT/RIGHT button s are used to step thro ugh and modify t he menu options. Pr essing the OK butto n again, select s the option indic ated on the display. The OK bu tton is also used t o manually take a pict ure.
BATTERY COMPARTMENT
The camera is p owered by AA alkalin e or lithium batter ies
– twelve (12) for P-180i, eight (8) for P-120i
. Push the batt ery compart ment release button to eje ct the batter y tray. Install bat teries as indica ted by the engraving s on the battery t ray, taking care to note t he correct pol arity. See Impor tant Batter y Information se ction on Page 15 of this man ual.
SD CARD SLOT
Accepts up to a 32GB SD Ca rd (Class 4 or higher) for pho to and video stora ge. NOTE: A Class 4 or higher SD Ca rd must be instal led for the camera t o operate (sold s eparately). Ultra/ Turbo SD cards are not re commended.
USB PORT
Download st ill pictures an d video onto your comp uter by connecti ng a Micro-B to USB cab le (not included) to the USB p ort.
EXTERNAL POWER PORT
Accepts the Moultrie power accessories (sold separately) only. Refer to www.moultriefeeders.com for more information. NOTE: The use of an y other power sour ce will void your war ranty and pos sibly harm your c amera.

QUICK START INSTRUCTIONS

Use the steps b elow as a guide to quick ly set up your camer a so it will funct ion using the fac tory default se ttings.
STEP 1
Open camera c over. Install AA size alk aline or lithium bat teries – twelve (12) for P-180i, eight (8) for P-120i – with p olarities as indi cated in the battery t ray. Insert your SD ca rd. We recommend that yo u erase the SD card (ER ASE IMAGES) inside th e camera before t aking picture s: this will not only erase all i mages, but will also f ormat your SD card f or use in the camera. C amera will not oper ate without SD car d.
STEP 2
Mount camer a in desired locat ion using a mounting s trap. The camera a lso has Python™ Cab le Loops for add ed security. NOTE: C amera must be at tached to a sta ble object fo r motion
detection to function properly. Mounting camera on an unstable structure may result in excess image captures with no subject (false triggers).
STEP 4
Switch camer a to Quick Start. Close cover. The camera will operate using Default settings. You may also customi ze the settings i f desired in Custo m Start.
STEP 3
Switch camer a to Aim mode. Aim camer a using motion detec tion to determi ne target area. Wal k in front of the cam era at the desired di stance and the camera LED wil l ash showing the cover ed area.

Setting Run Mode
When you choose Quick Start, the only settings that you will be ab le to change will be Date a nd Time. Other settings are:

Setting Capture Mode
Use the Up/Down but tons to choose be tween operati ng modes. This cam era has 3 modes.
1. Motion Detec t - Capture photo or v ideo when motion o r heat is detected .
2. Time Laps e - Capture photo at pe riodic interv als based on the Time L apse program se tting.
3. Motion + Time L apse - Uses a combina tion of Time Lapse a nd Motion Detec t modes at dieren t times of the day. Press the Rig ht button to star t motion capture.
NOTE: Options for Motion and Time Lapse can be set in their respective option menus.

Setup Selection Setting
From the Defa ult Screen, pres sing the Menu butt on will enter the curr ent capture mode ’s Main Screen. Press t he Down button 3 ti mes to enter GENERAL SET TINGS. Press the Lef t button to move to t he next sett ing. Using this meth od you can customi ze your camera’s featur e settings. From this Main Sc reen, press OK to ge t to the Test Capture scr een. See pages 1 & 2 fo r the full layout of the c amera menu.
For all menu nav igation, use UP/DOWN to c hange and LEFT/RIGHT to n avigate betwe en options and OK to l ock-in your selec tion.

PIR Sensitivity
PIR Sensitivi ty allows you to cont rol as to how much moveme nt and at what distan ce the camera wi ll trigger. HIGH sensit ivity will allow f or more
distance, bu t will make the camera sli ghtly more suscep tible to false tri ggers and is ideal fo r open areas such as elds and foo d plots. LOW sensiti vity
will shorte n the distance but lo wer the chance of
false trigg ers and is ideal for c lose range traps a nd deeply wooded ar eas.
Setting Multi-Shot
Choose how many p ictures you woul d like captured in a se quence when the came ra is triggered (1 or 3).
Available options are:
1 (OFF) - Single photo taken per event.
3 BURST - Three ra pidly captured p hotos taken per event . All 3 photos are capt ured within one se cond.
NOTE: Burst m ode is only capable o f up to 4MP captures , regardless of you r resolution set ting.
3 TRIGGERED - Up to three photos ar e captured per even t with an approxima te one second delay be tween each capt ure. Each subsequ ent photo after the r st requires an in dividual trigg er. This allows for multi ple potential image c aptures of the sa me event while reduc ing the chance of empty image s if the subject m oves out of the eld of vi ew after the rs t shot.

Detection Delay determines the number of minutes between pictures when an animal is detec ted and remains in r ange. Choose bet ween (NONE, 10 sec, 30 se c, 1 min, 5min, 10min, or 30 min).

Set Frequency of Capture
Choose bet ween 10, 30 seconds / 1, 5, 10, 15, or 30 minutes / 1, 2, 3, 6, 12 hours or 1 day.
Setting Program Start
Choose bet ween 24 dierent set tings: any hour fr om MlDNlGHT to 11 PM. This will determine wh at time the camera w ill wake up during the pr ogram and begin i ts time lapse progr am. Setting to ALWAYS ON will make the c amera operate in t imelapse 24 hours/day.
Setting Program Stop
When star t time is set, the cam era will automatic ally move to the Stop opti on. Set the Stop time aft er the Start time yo u already set. This w ill set the Start an d Stop during the time lapse p hotography.
NOTE: Repeat the above s teps for each Program #2 to b e set.
WARNING: If Progra m #1 is set to Always On, se ttings for Pro gram #2 will be dis abled.

Also, use cautio n when navigatin g through the Se curity Code o ption as not to set a code by mistake. For no security code, the setting should remain as “00000”.
