When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions
should always be followed, including the following:

1. Read all instructions.

2. Ensure the appliance is used on a firm, flat surface.

3. Avoid touching moving parts. Keep hands, hair, clothing as well as
spatulas and other utensils away from chopper blades during
operation, to prevent personal injury or damage to the appliance.

4. Unplug from electrical outlet when not in use, before putting on
or taking off parts, and before cleaning. To unplug, grasp plug and
pull it from electrical outlet. Never pull the cord.

5. Remove detachable shaft from the blender before washing the
blades or shaft.

6. Do not let any cord hang over the edge of the a table or counter.
Do not let cord contact hot surface, including stovetop.

7. Children do not understand the dangers associated with operating
electrical appliances. Never allow children to use this appliance.

8. Make sure the appliance is off, the motor has stopped completely,
and the appliance is unplugged from outlet before putting on or
taking off attachments, and before cleaning.

9. To reduce the risk of injury, never leave cutting blade on base
without first putting bowl properly in place.

10. Do not use the appliance for anything other than its intended
purpose as described in manual.

11. Do not use outdoors. Do not use in moving vehicles or boats.

12. Do not leave the appliance unattended when in use.

13. When mixing liquids, especially hot liquids, use a tall container or
make small quantities at a time to reduce spillage.

14. Blades are sharp. Handle carefully.

15. Be certain cover is securely locked in place before operating the

appliance.

16. When using extremely heavy loads, the appliance should not be
operated for more than 20 seconds at a time.

17. Do not use the blending shaft uninterrupted for longer than 25
seconds. Using the blending shaft without water uninterrupted
for longer than 25 seconds will lead to overheating of inner
bearing, which will cause deformation or melt of plastic parts.

18. Do not operate the appliance for longer than 1 minute at a time
as this can cause overheating. Allow to cool for at least 1 minute
between each use. Operating the blending shaft with water
continuously for longer than 1 minute will lead to overheating of
inner bearing, which will cause deformation or melt of plastic
parts. Overworking will also lead to overheating of the motor.

19. Never mix dry, thick or heavy mixtures for more than 15 seconds.
Stop operation and stir the ingredients before continuing. Allow
the motor to rest for 1 minute between each use.
