Your phone is designed to be water-proof (up to 30 minutes at 1 meter depth) and to resist blowing rain, humidity, blowing dust, salt fog, and high & low temperatures. However, you need to make sure that you close and lock the battery door and seal the connector covers to prevent damage.

When you close the battery door, press it so that it is tightly closed and there are no gaps. Lock the door, then push the door down again

Both the charging and headset jack covers on your phone must be completely closed.

Note: Be sure to wipe off your phone before you open it or use it to prevent substances from getting inside it.
