Problem

The display circuitry for the T720/T720 product requires the internal battery to have a minimum voltage of 3V before the display will operate.
Should the battery become discharged to a voltage less than 3V the display will not operate. When external power is applied via the CE connector the display will power up only least 3V. This power up sequence can take approximately 45 seconds, during this time the CSTN display will be
in colour and no wake up graphics will be visible (See Figure 1) after this delay period the radio should begin
BLUE
to show the charging either icon (See Figure 2) or the wake up graphics. (See Figure 3)
when the battery has been charged to a voltage of at

Call Centre Action:
1) When the battery charger is applied, does the CSTN (Main Display) turn BLUE
2) If YES then ask the customer to wait approx 45 seconds- 60seconds
3) Does the radio power up as indicated above (See Figures 2 &3)
4) YES – Then inform the customer that if the battery capacity is low then the radio may not illuminate the display during this period
5) NO – Then inform the customer to return the radio to an approved Motorola service centre for further analysis.
