RATE - At mini mum pos ition , sweeps a re grad ual an d

positi on, th e mod ulated sound becomes rapid an d

transitions to hard , perc ussive pulsin g.

TYP E - The lower positio n subtra cts fe edback from the

input signal mixer an d output dry signal , creati ng a

more voc al sound. In th e upper position, feedbac k is

positively sum med with the input signal and dry

signa l, prod ucing a m ore trad itional ﬂang er sound.

DEPTH - Determines th e amoun t of modul ation ap plied

to the delay tim e. As Depth is incre ased , the so und

transitions f rom light motion and phasing all the way

into mas sive multi-octave sweep s.

MONO/S TEREO SWITCH - To access both outputs (in

bypass), rem ove the bottom of the MF FL ANG E and set

the switch to Stereo. Us e a 1/4” TRS to TS split ter cable.

WARNING: When set to Ste reo in byp ass, e xcessi ve

loadi ng may occ ur. To avoid this, se t the switc h to Mono .

TIME - At m aximu m positi on you ca n craft traditional

or voca l, meta llic ﬂa nge sounds. As the Ti me contr ol

positi on is r educe d, de lay tim e is in creas ed and

sounds become thicker a nd war mer. At minimum

positi on, th e MF FLANG E is capabl e of app roach ing

analog chorus style sounds.

EXPR ESSI ON PEDA L INPU T - The Expressi on Pedal

input is assign ed to the Tim e control . Use a Moo g EP-3

expres sion pe dal to manually sweep th rough th e delay

frequ ency range of th e MF FL ANGE .

HEAVY MOD (Use EP-3 To Sweep Time Knob)

FEEDBACK - This control brings focus and resonance

to the sweep of a sound. At minimum position, sweeps

are smooth and neutral. At medium position, sweeps

begin to peak musically. At maximum position, the

sound of a sweep becomes rigid and metallic.

Try experimenting with a TRS to TS adapter on the

output for even more tonal possibilities. The left side

(tip) outputs “combing feedback”, while the right side

(ring) outputs “peaking feedback”.
