Maintaining proper tire pressure is not only important for

fuel efficiency. The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
evaluates the pressure of each tire and issues a warning if
the level becomes critically low.

reducing vehicle weight and optimizing aerodynamics, our
engineers have succeeded in decreasing moving resistance

expensive hybrid components. In fact, the 2017 Mirage G4
achieves a combined mileage rating of 37 mpg. And Mirage
is the most fuel-efficient non-hybrid car in America with a
combined mileage rating of 39 mpg. What’s more, its CO
emissions rating leads the class, as well.

Don’t let a blustery thing like wind slow you down. With the
help of computer-aided design software, our designers are
able to optimize aerodynamic shapes so that they cut easily
through the atmosphere. In fact, at our wind tunnel test

Electric Power Steering not only ensures predictable steering,

EVOLUTION BODY

Engineered for maximum protection in the event of a
collision, our vehicle bodies employ Reinforced Impact Safety
Evolution (RISE) engineering and combine energy-absorbing
front and rear structures with a super-rigid occupant
cell, along with reinforcing bars in the doors and energy­absorbing materials in the side pillars and roof rails.

ACTIVE STABILITY CONTROL AND
TRACTION CONTROL

Active Stability Control (ASC) with Traction Control Logic
(TCL) helps drivers maintain control in adverse driving
conditions and during emergency maneuvers. Sensors
monitor traction and activate the anti-lock braking system
when it detects skidding or a loss of traction. By applying
the brakes on specific wheels, the system helps the vehicle
track in the driver’s intended direction.

The Mirage family features a standard Supplemental
Restraint System (SRS) that provides seven airbags,
including dual-stage front airbags with a seat position
sensor, front side-impact airbags, 1st- and 2nd-row side­impact curtain airbags, and a driver’s knee airbag.

HILL START ASSIST

When accelerating from a standstill on a steep incline,
Hill Start Assist helps prevent the vehicle from rolling
backward. This standard feature, when activated, holds the
brakes for approximately two seconds to give you time to
move your foot from the brake pedal to the accelerator.
