STREAMLINED STYLING
The Lancer’s swift shape, with its chiseled lines, is a clinic in
performance styling. The front-end design provides smooth over and

Standard on the ES, Lancer’s base engine delivers an EPA-estimated
34 mpg highway.

148 horsepower and 145 lb.-ft. of torque. The key to its remarkable
efciency is Mitsubishi Innovative Valve-timing Electronic Control
technology (MIVEC). MIVEC varies the engine’s breathing to achieve

This advanced technology is actually a series of advanced technologies
orchestrated to work in harmony. Active Yaw Control (AYC) distributes
engine torque between the left and right rear wheels, while the Active
Center Differential (ACD) distributes engine torque between the front
and rear axles. Active Stability Control (ASC) helps keep the vehicle
on the intended path when cornering, and Sport ABS with Electronic
Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) improves control and stability under
hard braking.

“automated manual” transmission utilizes two clutches to achieve
the efciency of a manual gearbox while allowing smooth, ultrafast

console-mounted switch, the TC-SST allows full power delivery during
upshifts and rev matching on downshifts. If you prefer shifting
