German optical engineers have designed a new generation
of high quality binoculars for a discerning market
MINOX’s utmost aim was to ensure performance at
the highest level when they designed and developed
the new HG binoculars. Our German engineers
designed High Grade Sport Optics aimed at the
best possible performance in all areas. The newly
developed optical system provides a fascina-
tingly high light transmission, gaining top marks
binoculars are real top of the range lightweights,
beautiful and ergonomical. The innovative FCF
focusing improves operation. For the first time it
is possible to take exact distance readings from a
scale on the focusing wheel. Special optical glass
from the German specialists, SCHOTT AG guarantees
excellent optical quality. With these features the new
for brightness and contrast. With their sleek body
design and magnesium housing, the new HG
MINOX HG’s are today’s state-of-the-art with all the
potential of becoming tomorrow’s classic.

Eyecups with four click-stops
The eyecups of the HG binoculars are fitted with twist-up eyecups
with click-stops in four different positions which improve the adjustment to different eye reliefs.
Lockable diopter setting
The handy diopter-ring provides a click-stop; therefore, a very precise
setting is possible. Additionally, it is protected against any unintentional
resetting.
Distance-scale for precise distance-setting
A quick glance at the focusing wheel makes these binoculars a reliable
rangefinder. The scale on the focusing wheel of the MINOX HG binoculars gives precise information of the distance to the object focused on.
More comfort with Fast Close Focus (FCF)
Only one turn of the focusing wheel is necessary to adjust the HG-binoculars from close to infinite. This MINOX patent system allows swift
focusing close-up, and a more precise focusing for longer distances.
The classical focus mechanism with a wide range for close-up settings.
The new MINOX Fast Close Focus optimizes the close-up and long distance setting within only one turn.

Design by
All bodies of the MINOX HG binocular series are manufactured from
magnesium. This gives them an unrivalled light weight from 22.9 oz
with the 8.5x43 and 10 x43, and just 27.3 oz with the larger 8.5x52
and 10 x 52. This ergonomically shaped body is then coated with rubber armour for a comfortable grip.
Focusing in marginal ranges
with aspherical lenses
To eliminate a blurred view in marginal ranges,
aspherical lenses are used inside of the oculars.
This technology achieves a high contrast and optimizes focusing along
the perimeter of the field of view. Additionally, the field of view is on
one focal plane.
Ideal reflection through the non-glare coating MinoBright®‚
This novel silver-bearing MinoBright® coating is used to apply a nonglare surface to the prisms to ensure highest reflection of light. As a
result, images are very bright, with high contrast.

Guarantee for a long life:
ARGON GAS INSIDE
A superior argon gas filler protects the inner glass
surfaces against fogging and corrosion, because
it does not react with the other materials. Due to its larger molecules,
argon gas has a slower rate of diffusion than the conventional nitrogen, which guarantees that the super gas remains inside the binoculars for much longer than is the case with nitrogen.
The newly calculated optic
The improved optical calculation provides an outstanding resolution for
the HG binoculars with an increased contrast of more than 17 percent.
Glass from the Schott AG, Mainz, Germany
The high-tech optical glass is "Made in Germany"
by the Mainz based SCHOTT AG, which is a subsidiary of the Carl-ZeissStiftung, German glass pioneers.
Highest light transmission through M*coating
®
The innovative M*coating® of the lenses optimises the light transmission
and colour rendition. With up to 21 applied layers to the glass surface,
light loss by reflection is avoided. The light transmission of the optical
system increases to 92 percent.
