When our two great grandfathers founded the Miele company, they
had to make sure they stood apart from the competition in order to
be successful. There are effectively only two ways of doing this:
either by being cheaper than the rest or by being better than the

German engineered and tested to the equivalent of 20 years'
average usage

Miele carries out intensive endurance tests during the development
phase in order to meet the highest quality standards. In these tests
the appliances are expected to wash for 10,000 hours. This involves
running a mix of approximately 5,000 wash programmes. This
corresponds to approximately 5 programmes per week with an
average cycle time of two hours – over 20 years.

Quality – Made by Miele

Enamelled front

Miele is the only manufacturer of domestic appliances to enamel the
front panels of all washing machines, tumble dryers and washer­dryers. The high-quality enamel is scratch-proof, corrosion-proof,
alkaline-resistant, impervious to acids, easy to clean and colour-fast.

Stainless-steel suds container

The suds container is particularly robust and hygienic. It is
supported by shock absorbers and four suspension springs, and is
weighed down with cast-iron counterweights. This is Miele
perfection for minimum wear and tear, excellent sound-proofing
qualities, and durability.

Cast-iron counterweights

High-quality materials and manufacturing ensure less wear and tear
and excellent stability in all Miele washing machines and tumble
dryers.

Maintenance-free heat exchanger

In Miele heat-pump dryers, the heat exchanger is protected by an
effective filtration system. This ensuresthe heat exchanger does not
require cleaning. This deliversconstant low energy consumption – a
whole appliance life long.

Our laundry-care system covers the entire process, from washing
and drying to ironing. Even Miele's CareCollection products were
developed in our in-house laboratories and are perfectly tailored to
Miele machines.

result, you can find a matching dryer for every washing machine with
respect to design and features. This enables us to offer thebest
cleaning and care performance combined with gentle laundry care.

Perfect laundry finish

Many textiles only get a perfect finish when they are ironed and
given additional protection through mechanical and thermal
treatment. You can iron particularly easily, conveniently, quickly and
effectively using the Miele FashionMaster steam ironing system.

Not all off-the-shelf products deliver the same results in all washing
machines. For this reason, we have developed Miele branded care
products and detergents in our own laboratories in collaboration
with selected suppliers. The formulas are perfectly adapted to Miele
washing machines and tumble dryers. This allows you to tap the
potential of your Miele machines to the full and reduce the burden on
the environment at the same time.

Miele washing machines

Front-loading washing machines

These washing machines are particularly
convenient to load, unload and operate at
the front. Thanks to the many different
installation options (stacked, slot in,etc.),
these appliances can be positioned in most
spaces.

Washer-dryers

These appliances combine a high-quality
and well-equipped front-loading machine
with a condenser dryer. Ideal for discerning
people with little available space.

Miele tumble dryers

Heat-pump dryers

Miele's particularly energy-efficient heat­pump dryers offer the same convenience
and flexibility as conventional condenser
dryers but use up to 50% less energy. Miele
heat-pump dryers boast up to a 10 star
energy efficiency rating.

Condenser dryer

Condenser dryers give you the option to
install your appliance anywhere you want as
the only connection required is a mains
socket. Instead of ducting the moisture­laden air to atmosphere, condenser dryers
cool it down in a closed air circuit causing
the moisture to condense.

Washing machine and tumble dryer installation options

Washer and dryer stack

If there is not sufficient space available to
install two appliances next to one
another,Miele washing machines and
tumble dryers can be conveniently
combined as a washer-dryer stack. In this
arrangement, the washing machine is
always installed under the tumble dryer.

Miele offers various stacking kits for a stable
connection between the two appliances.
Some feature a practical drawer that is ideal
for storing accessoriesor for conveniently
resting the laundry basket on whilst loading
and unloading the tumble dryer.

Side by side

Technically and optically, Miele washing
machines and tumble dryers match each
other perfectly. This allows you to install
both appliances side by side and transfer
freshly washed textiles conveniently to the
tumble dryer.

Slot-in

All Miele front-loading machines slot in
under a worktop with a minimum niche
height of 85 cm. This installation option
does not require the appliance lid to be
removed.

intuitively structured: a convenient rotary selector for wash programmes or drying
programmes, and clearly and concisely arranged switches for additional functions. A logical

The best liquid detergent system

Automatic dispensing

The W1 TwinDos washing
machines include
oneUltraPhase 1 and one
UltraPhase 2 cartridge.

TwinDos

Fabric type, quantity of laundry and degree of soiling
– all these factors haveto betaken into consideration when
dispensing the correct amount of detergent.

With the TwinDos function two detergent containers are used
withthe washing machine, and the appliance dispenses the
optimum quantity of detergent for the laundry to be washed at the
touch of a button.

For best results use the unique 2-Phase detergents UltraPhase 1
and 2. TwinDos dispenses these two components at the appropriate
time during the wash process. This ensures the thorough cleaning of
your laundry, and radiant coloured and white textiles.

As an alternative, TwinDos can also automatically dispense
conventional liquid detergents or conditioner. Simply fill the Miele
refill containers (available as optional accessories) and the appliance
dispenses the right quantity.

No matter what you choose: Miele's TwinDos system always
dispenses the right quantity, simply and cleanly. And should you
wish to use a different detergent such as powder, then simply
dispense the powder via the detergent dispenser drawer.

30% detergent savings

Accurate dispensing is difficult to accomplish manually. The
ecological institute Öko Institute e.V. in Freiburg, Germany has
confirmeda 30% detergent saving potential thanks to the automatic
dispensing feature from Miele.

Miele UltraPhase 1 and 2

The best liquid dispensing system

Best liquid detergent system
on the market!

The German Hohenstein test institute tested
the automatic 2-Phase dispensing system in
connection with Miele's UltraPhase 1 and
UltraPhase 2 detergents. They confirmed
excellent wash results in terms of stain
removal, the degree of whiteness, the
anti-greying effect and accuracy of
dispensing.

No other liquid detergent washes whites as well as coloureds as
thoroughly as the 2-Phase-System from Miele.
That is because conventional liquid detergents do not contain any
bleach as it would damage the other ingredients. However,
oxygenatedbleach is necessary to remove stubborn stains such as
coffee, tea, fruit juice andred wine.

UltraPhase 1 and 2 are stored and dispensed separately which
makes it possible to add oxygenated bleach to the TwinDos system.
Active ingredients in UltraPhase 1 break up the soil and remove
stains such as oil, grease, protein and starch stains.

With UltraPhase 2, oxygenated bleach is added at the appropriate
time during the wash process and removes even stubborn stains
such as coffee, tea, fruit juice or red wine.

two superior performance characteristics.

In the QuickPowerWash programme your laundry is washed in less
than one hour – and still achieves perfect cleaning results.
