fully. You should only process dental instruments/medical devices in this insert if they have been declared as suitable
for machine processing by the manufacturer. Please also observe the manufacturer's care instructions. The program
me selected must be suitable for the materials from which the instruments are made. Where possible the programme
should include thermal disinfection.

Areas of application

Insert E 491 is designed for reprocessing rotating
dental instruments.

Insert E 491 is divided into two areas:

The smaller area has 18 possible positions for

–

holding instruments that are used in turbines (each
position measures approx. 1.8 x 1.8 mm).

The larger area has 30 possible positions for

–

holding instruments that are used in contra angles
(each position measures approx. 2.8 x 2.8 mm).

Rotating instruments with particularly complex functional ends or stubborn residues on them may need to be pre­treated with ultrasound.

Rotating instruments used in turbines and contra angles should be placed in their respective holders with the shafted
end pointing downwards.

The functional ends must face upwards. The functional ends must not touch the insert mesh to ensure they can be
accessed all round by the wash liquour. The same applies to the shaft.

Danger of injury: When loading instruments be careful not to injure yourself on functional ends of instruments.

When sorting instruments wear gloves for your personal protection.

When loading instruments you will notice a slight resistance from the spring clamps. These clamps hold the instruments in
position and prevent them from becoming dislodged. If you do not feel this resistance the holder is not suitable for the
instrument you are placing in it. Instruments are prevented from slipping through by rails.

Double-check that instruments are correctly positioned and secured in place.
Any instruments that have become disconnected from their holders during processing must be re-processed. The
same applies to instruments where the functional end has dropped onto the rails in the E 491 insert during machine
processing.

Once loaded, place the E 491 insert in an empty section of the upper basket.

Inzet E 491 voor tandheelkundige instrumenten

Houdt u zich aan de veiligheidsinstructies en waarschuwingen uit de gebruiksaanwijzing van de reinigings- en

,

desinfectieautomaat. Behandel alleen tandheelkundige instrumenten/medische producten die volgens de fabrikant
van die producten geschikt zijn voor machinale behandeling. Houdt u zich aan de specifieke behandelingsvoorschrif
ten van de fabrikant. Het te gebruiken programma, met bij voorkeur thermische desinfectie, moet indien nodig op het
materiaal van de producten worden afgestemd.

Inzet E 491, H 53 mm, B 120 mm, D 70 mm.

Toepassing

De inzet E 491 is voor de behandeling van roterende
instrumenten uit de tandheelkunde.

De inzet E 491 bestaat uit twee gedeelten:

Het kleinere gedeelte heeft 18 houders voor instru

–

menten die in turbines kunnen worden gebruikt
(elk ca. 1,8 x 1,8 mm).

Het grotere gedeelte heeft 30 houders voor instru

–

menten die in hand- en hoekstukken kunnen worden
gebruikt (elk ca. 2,8 x 2,8 mm).

Roterende instrumenten met zeer complexe functionele uiteinden c.q. met hardnekkige verontreinigingen moeten mo­gelijk ultrasoon worden voorbehandeld.

Steek de roterende instrumenten van de turbines en hand- en hoekstukken met het schachteinde naar beneden in de
betreffende houders.

De functionele uiteinden van de instrumenten moeten naar boven wijzen. De functionele uiteinden mogen niet op het
rooster van de inzet rusten, anders kunnen deze delen niet goed worden behandeld. Hetzelfde geldt voor de schacht
halzen.

Wees voorzichtig als u de instrumenten inruimt, zodat u zich niet aan de functionele uiteinden verwondt. Draag
daarom voor uw eigen veiligheid handschoenen!

Bij het insteken merkt u een lichte weerstand die wordt veroorzaakt door speciale bladveren. Deze veren houden de in
strumenten op hun plaats en voorkomen dat ze uit de houders vallen. Als u geen weerstand voelt, is de houder niet ge
schikt voor het instrument. Spijlen voorkomen dat de instrumenten door de inzet heen vallen.

Controleer of u de instrumenten correct heeft gepositioneerd en gefixeerd.
Instrumenten die tijdens de machinale behandeling zijn losgeraakt, moeten opnieuw worden behandeld. Hetzelfde
geldt voor instrumenten waarvan de functionele uiteinden tijdens de behandeling op de spijlen van de inzet E 491
hebben gerust.

Plaats de beladen inzet E 491 op een vrij gedeelte van een bovenrek.
