Servicehinweis zu BM1 Juni 2005

Fehlerbeschreibung:

bei einigen Funkgeräten (wie ALAN 777, MIDLAND G 5, TECTALK Joker)
wird im VOX Mode die PTT Tastenerkennung nicht abgeschaltet. Ein
angeschlossenes BM 1 Mikrofon wird bei diesen Geräten dann fälschlicherweise als
Mikrofon mit gedrückter Sprechtaste erkannt. Die Folge ist, dass die VOX nicht mehr
abschaltet und der Sender dauernd eingeschaltet bleibt.

Abhilfe: Anstelle des BM 1 das AE 740 (=AE 37) benutzen, oder BM 1 wie
beschrieben umbauen:
Auf der Platinenseite mit dem SMD Transistor 1 Widerstand 270 kOhm zusätzlich
parallel zum 2200 pF Chipkondensator oder direkt parallel zu Basis und Emitter
einlöten.

Service-Hints BM1 (June 2005)

Problem: Some PMR 446 radios do not disable the PTT key sensor during VOX

mode. In such cases the BM 1 is detected as “microphone with permanently pressed
transmit button” and as consequence the transmitter will not switch off.

Solution: use AE 740 (=AE 37) instead of BM 1 or modify BM 1:
Add a 270 kOhm resistor parallel to the 2200 pF capacitor on the PCB side, where
the transistor is soldered (or directly between base and emitter of the transistor).
This bias modification will shift the resulting DC resistance into a higher range where
it is no more detected as pressed PTT button.
