PRODUCT COVERED:
USL, CNLFree standing type household freezer, Models HS-109FN(SNZ), HS-
The models covered in this Report are self-contained freezers. They
employ no defrost system. These units are intended for indoor freestanding
use. An attached length of power supply and terminating in a grounding type
attachment plug is provided for connection to the electrical supply source.
The models employ Refrigerant R-600a (flammable refrigerant, classified
as Class 3 “Higher Flammability” by ASHRAE34) and were evaluated following
additional requirements of Supplement SA of UL 250. The cooling system is
considered a protected cooling system.
Models CF2137, UF-304W, UF-304SS, CUF-301, MRF-161, WHS-109FW1, WHS109FB1, WHS-109FSS1, CUF30M1W, KTUF88, CUF-301BK, UF300WE, FC-1301K, FC-1300W,

The instruction shall provide the following information.
1. A child entrapment warning statement shall be included in either the
operating instructions or in a use and care manual provided with each
refrigerator and shall include the following or equivalent wording:
WARNING: Risk of child entrapment. Before you throw away your old
refrigerator or freezer:
Take off the doors.
Leave the shelves in place so that children may not easily climb inside.
2. The instructions for COMPRESSION-TYPE APPLIANCES that use FLAMMABLE
REFRIGERANTS shall additionally include the substance of the warnings listed
below:
– WARNING: Keep ventilation openings, in the appliance enclosure or in the
built-in structure, clear of obstruction.
– WARNING: Do not use mechanical devices or other means to accelerate the
defrosting process, other than those recommended by the manufacturer.
– WARNING: Do not damage the refrigerant circuit.
– WARNING: Do not use electrical appliances inside the food storage
compartments of the appliance, unless they are of the type recommended by the
manufacturer.
For units to be sold in Canada, instruction shall be in English and French.
