Specifi cations

Countertops

Starsys™ epoxy resin worksurfaces are generally 1" (25mm) thick. Unless otherwise specifi ed, worksurfaces are monolithic
and molded from a modifi ed epoxy resin, with a uniform mixture throughout the top forming a thermosetting material. Back or
side splashes are shipped separately and affi xed on site to epoxy top. Worksurfaces have a smooth, non-glare fi nish.

Phenolic countertops are 1" (25mm) thick with back and side splash options. The laboratory-grade tops are made of an epoxy
resin composite (thermoset resins with cellulose fi ber reinforcement), are non-porous, highly resistant to a wide variety of
aggressive chemicals, easy to clean, disinfect and maintain.

Laminate countertops are composed of a 1.125" (29mm) 45 lb. density particle board core with melamine backing and high­pressure laminate surfacing material, .045" nominal thickness.

Solid surface countertops are nominally 1" (25.4mm) thick with a .485" Corian
(Hi-Density Polyethylene) core.

Stainless steel countertops are 1.25" (32mm) thick with Type 304 series 18-gauge fabricated stainless steel with homopolymer
polypropylene cores. Available with backsplashes or “island style.”
