Metro’s Over-The-Road Cart System features
four-sided enclosed carts to reduce the risk of
damaging goods during transportation.
The carts have fixed enclosure panels on the back
and both sides. Two detachable panels enclose
the front of the 60” (1520mm) and 48” (1220mm)
long carts; one detachable panel encloses the 24”
(610mm) cart. When a cart arrives “in-house” the
panels are easily removed and installed on
another cart which is destined for return.
• Convenient: Detachable front panels hook onto
the cart frame and are easily lifted off to remove,
without the need for a de-activation device.
• Functional: 60” (1520mm) and 48” (1220mm)
carts offer four wire and one solid shelf; 24”
(610mm) cart three wire and one solid shelf.
Open-wire shelves promote air circulation and
visibility. Solid shelf protects contents from
airborne dust and dirt caused by wheel
movement.
• Strong: 800 lb. (452kg) weight capacity per unit.
• Easily Maneuverable: Large 8” (203mm) caster
on 60” and 48” models and 6” (152.4mm) caster
on 24” model promote easy maneuverability.
Brake/swivel lock mechanism on cart dolly
allows easy positioning. Quiet cart operation is
enhanced by rubber tread on casters.
• Adaptable: Carts can be accessorized with wire
and solid shelf dividers, tote boxes and slides,
and cart covers for optimum customization.
• Durable Chrome-plated finish. Stainless Steel
solid shelf.

• Fixed enclosure panels on the back and both sides.
Two detachable panels enclose the front of the 60”
and 48” long carts, one detachable panel encloses
the 24” cart. Detachable panels hook onto the cart
frame and are lifted off to remove the panel from the
frame, without requiring the deactivation of a locking
device or clamp.
• The dolly contains a brake/swivel lock device. The
brake/swivel lock device contains two foot operated
levers. One lever operates a locking brake for both
casters on the respective side. The other lever
switches both casters, on the respective side,
between swivel and non-swivel.
• The shelves of the cart are held to the posts by use
of aluminum sleeves which fit between the post and
circular collar of the shelf. The aluminum sleeves
allow the use of a “C” clamp to be installed above
the shelf collar, thereby locking it onto the sleeve.
• The bottom of the posts contain an insert which is
used to hold the posts and frame to the dolly. These
inserts are staked in place in the posts, to reduce
the chance of them being pulled-out.
