Supplement to the operating instructions for P class appliances
1. Fan speed monitoring
The fan speed is monitored by an PLC control independent of the controller. If the fan speed is less than 40% of the maximum speed, the oven‘s safety switch is triggered. This way, a relay separates all heating elements from the power supply and the red caution symbol is shown on the controller display. If the ALARM-SOUND function is activated in the SETUP, an acoustic alarm sounds.
Caution:
The fan speed setting must not be reduced to less than 40%, since this would switch off the heating permanently. In programme operation, the fan speed of each ramp needs to be set to at least 40 %. As last ramp close statement, HOLD should be programmed, since END switches off the fan and thus would cause the appliance to malfunction.
The minimum speed to be monitored is saved as a parameter in the PLC control and can only be changed by service staff.
2. Magnetic door lock
Warning! In case of an interruption of the power supply, e.g. during a power failure, the door is unlocked automatically. However, the working chamber can still be hot. This could lead to burning of the skin. Always wear protective gloves or wait until the appliance cools down.
Note: The option of choice needs to be specified in the order. The standard option is 1 = process dependent door lock.
Option 1: Process dependent door lock
The process dependent door lock locks the doors whenever a programme is running. The programme can be called up from the MemoryCard, the internal memory or via a computer (in remote operation). The door lock locks the door as soon as the programme is started. The door is unlocked when the programme ends or the programme sequence is stopped manually.
For INP appliances with optional door lock, the door is locked during the sterilisation process via SteriCard.
Option 2: Programmable door lock
The door lock locks the door if switching contact A is activated. Programming of switching contact A is done using the Celsius software. This way, it is possible to programme the door lock state programme specifically.
To be observed for all versions: If the appliance is in its deenergized state, the door lock is unlocked. In permanent operation
(operating mode I), the door lock is permanently unlocked.
