Safety advice and warnings
Failure to follow and observe these instructions could lead to
an accident.
Working environment:
- Keep the working area clean and well lit. Cluttered and
dark areas invite accidents.
- Do not place the product on hot surfaces, such as cook
ing plates, gas burners, ovens or similar.
- Keep children and bystanders away when using this
product.
- The product must be used and placed on a flat, stable
surface.
Personal safety:
- Keep any possible distractions well away from you when
using the product as they may cause you to lose your
concentration. Use common sense when operating the
product. Do not use it when tired or under the effect of drugs,
alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention while operating
this type of product may result in serious personal injury.
- Before using the product ensure that the cutting blade is
properly fixed in place.
Use and care:
- Do not use the product if the parts or accessories are not
properly fitted.
- Always leave the handle in the down position (as shown
above) after use, and before any cleaning operation or trans
portation to avoid personal injury.
- This product is intended for adult use only. Ensure that this
product is not used by the disabled, children or people unused
to its handling.
- This product should be stored out of reach of children and/or
the disabled.
- Pay special attention during the assembly and disassembly of
blades, as they are sharp and could cause harm.
- Any misuse or failure to follow the instructions for use renders
the guarantee and the manufacturer’s liability null and void.
Instructions for use
Before use:
- Make sure that all the product’s packaging has been removed.
- Before using the product for the first time, clean the parts that
will come into contact with food.
Assembly:
- Ensure you have received the cutting blade, 2 x bolts, and 2 x
nuts in the box. (Fig.1)
- Align the cutting blade as shown in Fig. 2, and fasten the nuts
& bolts until the cutting blade is firmly in place.
Height adjustment
- The cutting blade height can be adjusted, it’s just necessary to
unscrew the nut & bolt on either side (Fig. 2). Place the cut
ting blade at the desired height and tighten the nuts & bolts on
either side again.
Cleaning
- Clean the equipment with a damp cloth with a few drops of
washing-up liquid and then dry.
- Never submerge the product in water or any other liquid or
place it under running water.

Mellerware guarantees that this product has been thoroughly inspected and tested before being
dispatched and is free from mechanical and electrical defects. Should defects due to faulty material or
workmanship develop within 24 months from original date of purchase, under normal domestic use,
the appliance will be repaired free of charge or replaced as determined by Mellerware return policy.
No money will be refunded unless returned with original packaging and in new condition within 14
days of purchase.
Kindly retain your purchase slip for this must be presented together with this completed claim form
(see reverse) when making a claim under the terms of the guarantee. No correspondence in this
regard will be entered into.
This guarantee does not cover wear and tear or damage caused by over-loading, negligence, abuse,
and accidental or improper use. Any changes will invalidate the guarantee, as would any attempted
repair. Creative Housewares (Pty) Ltd will not be liable for any loss or damage.
Before returning your product – check for the following:
• Your household mains supply socket is working properly. Check with another appliance.
• The mains supply circuit is not overloaded. White trip switch on the DB board is off.
• The product has been used as directed in the instructions and you have read the trouble
shooting guide.
• All parts are present.
If service becomes necessary outside the guarantee period, the appliance should be returned to the
retail outlet where purchased or carefully packed and marked “fragile-handle with care“, and sent
carriage paid to a Mellerware approved service centre. (Postage is not refundable). A charge will be
applicable for postage, repairs conducted and spares used.
