I. Updates to ServiceTools for Applied Air Handling Unit Controllers
Caution: This software is the exclusive property of McQuay International. It is restricted by a
license agreement for use on a single personal computer as a tool in servicing McQuay
MicroTech II control products. The program contents are confidential and may not
be copied, de-compiled, disclosed or used for other purposes without the express
written consent of McQuay International. This software is further protected by federal
copyright law as an unpublished work and any unauthorized reproduction is
prohibited.
ServiceTools for MicroTech II Applied Air Handling Unit Controllers is updated periodically in
response to application software updates or to correct known issues.
Updates are posted on mcquay.com and McQuayBiz.com and are available as a free download. The
path to the ServiceTools updates is:

Note: The ServiceTools updates posted on mcquay.com and McQuayBiz.com only include updates
to the user interface screens. This is not the full tool. The full tool must be installed on the
PC before the update can be installed. Periodically check for any updates so you have the
latest tools and software available.
Rooftop and Self-Contained application software is NOT included wit h ServiceTools for
MicroTech II Applied Air Handling Unit Controllers. This software should also be downloaded
from mcquay.com or McQuayBiz.com. Refer to Part II-Updates to MicroTech II Application
Software section on page 2 of this document for further information.

First-time installation of ServiceTools
Follow these three steps for first-time installation of ServiceTools for MicroTech II Applied Air
Handling Unit Controllers.
1. Print and review the ReadMe file from the installation CD. It is very important to do this
before attempting to install ServiceTools on your computer. Access the ReadMe by clicking
on the Configuration button located at the bottom of the second screen of the install program.
Please read the install screens carefully.
2. Install the ServiceTools software from the CD.
3. Perform manual configuration of Windows and ServiceTools. This enables your computer to
communicate with MicroTe ch II boards through its serial port . Several pages of instr uctions are
involved, so it is recommended that you print the setup instructions for the operating platform
(Windows version) you are using. These documents can also be found by clicking on t he
Configuration button that is located at the bottom of the second installation screen.
Installing a ServiceTools Update
Follow these steps to install a ServiceTools update to a PC that already has an older version of
ServiceTools installed on it. ServiceTools must be installed on your PC prior to the update.
1. Download the ServiceTools software from McQuayBiz.com or mcquay.com and save the zip file
to your PC hard drive.
2. Unzip the zip file and double click on the self-extracting EXE file.
3. Select the default directory and replace all files.

Downloading the wrong application can cause equipment damage and severe personal injury.
Application codes must be used only by trained technicians experienced with the particular equipment.
Installer assumes all liability for use of correct codes.
Updates to application software for MicroTech II Rooftop and Self-Contained unit controllers are
available on both mcquay.com and McQuayBiz.com.
Note: Periodically check for updates so you have the latest tools and software available.

Follow these three steps to install updates to application software:
1. Download the updated application software from mcquaybiz or mcquay.com and save the zip file
