Description
The Decorative Cover is used to replace the unit mounted control pad when a remote thermostat is being used:
Installation
1. Unplug the power cord to prevent electrical shock.
2. Remove the two screws attaching the front panel to the chassis and unlatch the front panel from the chassis by grasping it at the lower corners and pulling forward. Lift the front panel off and set aside.
3. Lift the existing control pad from it’s mounting base, unplug it from the control box front and discard.
4. Install the Decorative Cover on the same mounting plate that held the control pad.
5. Plug the 6" long, 5 wire harness into the right hand receptacle on front of the control box.
6. Wire nut the 4 or 5 wires going to the remote thermostat to the 6" leads of the harness. The red lead connects to “R”, black to “common” (when required), green to “G”, yellow to “Y” and white to “W”.
Note: See chassis installation manual (IM 719) pages 4, 7, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17 for additional information on the installation of
remote thermostats.
7. Replace the front panel and plug in the power cord.
