Shared storage for small office and home network

The Maxtor Shared Storage Drive lets you easily centralize, organize

and share family photos, music and data on a home or small office

network. Installation is simple—just plug it into your router via Ethernet

and the automatic configuration seamlessly integrates into small office

and home TCP/IP-based networks.

The Quick Start CD sets up the Shared Storage Drive to look like

a local drive on the configured PC as well as automatically placing

an icon on the desktop for easy access to public and private network

folders with a single click.

Organizing documents on the drive is also a breeze. Just drag your

files onto the special shared desktop icon where the Maxtor exclusive

Drag and Sort™ feature automatically sorts the files based on file type

and places them into specific music, photo, video or data folders on the

Shared Storage Drive.

An easy to use web browser interface makes assigning full access

(public) or limited access (private) levels to your folders on the Shared

Storage Drive simple.

Two USB ports are included on the drive to connect and share two

USB printers, two additional external hard drives, or one of each.
