1 IN/4 OUT MIDI THRU BOX

The Thru 1x4 MIDI Thru Box allows any received
MIDI signal to be sent to up to four separate MIDI
devices. The MIDI signal received at the Thru 1x4
MIDI IN is "echoed" unchanged out all four of the
MIDI OUTs simultaneously.

Thru 1x4 can be used whenever you have a MIDI
signal that needs to go to multiple destinations.
Also, if you are sending MIDI to many different units
by using each of their Thrus and are concerned that
one of your devices may be causing a MIDI delay,
you can use the Thru 1x4 to distribute the MIDI out­put with absolutely NO signal delay.

Thru 1x4 draws power directly from the MIDI Out of
any instrument or sequencer connected to its MIDI
IN -- so it needs no external power supply. The
instrument which is connected to the Thru 1x4's
MIDI IN must be turned On in order for the 1x4 to
receive power. When this is done, the red power
LED will light.

To use Thru 1x4, connect its MIDI IN to the MIDI

Out of the instrument or sequencer you are
"Thruing." Next, connect each of Thru 1x4's MIDI
OUTs to the various instrument's MIDI Ins. All of
Thru 1x4's MIDI OUTs are identical so it doesn't
matter which MIDI OUT is connected to which MIDI
In.

Thru 1x4 is designed to consume almost no power.
However, very, very, rarely you may encounter some
older MIDI device which requires more power than
Thru 1x4 can deliver. This can only happen if the

MIDI specification. If you encounter this situation,
there is a standard 9 volt, center pin positive, power
jack on the side of Thru 1x4. You can go to your
local electronic store and buy a universal power
adaptor or call us at MIDIMAN to purchase one
directly.
