FROM
It's a "thermo-alarm-light-door-panic" solution for your walk-in cooler or freezer.

cision and ease using the optional factory-installed MBWA-1 walk-in alarm/light management system. Replace less accurate mechanical thermometers, separate alarms and light switches with this one convenient unit. The MBWA-1 is designed to save energy with its door open alarm and gives you the choice of one of two other options: A light management system or a panic alarm (see back page for details on each). Other features include:
• LED temperature display
• High/Low temperature alarms with delays
• Optional battery back-up
FEATURES BENEFITS
Temperature Alarms
• Both high and low alarm points can be easily set from the front keypad
• Alarm delays can be set from 0 to 255 minutes
• Alarm will re-set when the temperature returns to normal range
• “HA”or “LA” will ash on the display along with the actual temperature
• An 8A terminal can operate an outboard buzzer, light or even a phone dialer
• The keypad can be programmed to turn off the alarm by pressing the UP key
• Standard probe lengths are ve ft., 50 ft. and 75 ft., can be extended up to 300 ft.
Door Open Alarm
(Leaving the walk-in door open for extended periods is the
biggest energy waster. Simply closing the door eliminates this
waste.)
• Alarm can be set with a delay from 0 to 255 minutes
• The “dA” alarm will ash along with the actual
temperature
• Audible alarm will also sound
• Closing the door turns off the alarm
• Any standard door switch will work
Light Management Option
(Next to leaving the door open, leaving the lights on is the
second biggest energy waster)
• Light can be turned on from the keypad
• The timer can be set to turn the light off
automatically from one to 255 minutes
• Light can be turned on just by opening the door
and will turn off automatically
• Add an occupancy sensor and the light will turn
on when someone is present and turn off automatically after a programmed time delay
• Able to control up to 2000 watts of lighting
Temperature Readout
• Via bright red LEDs with a range from -40 to 230°F
• The display update time can be set from one
second to 4½ minutes. This better reects product temperatures typically with a two to three minute delay. It also prevents false alarms.
Panic Alarm Option
• Required by some local ordinances in case of
entrapment or trouble inside the walk-in
• When initiated, a super-bright LED on the display
will illuminate along with the “Pan” display alternating with the actual temperature
• Interior panic button included
Battery Backup Option
• Battery connector cable must be ordered separately
• 9V battery not included
• During the operation of the unit with the 9V bat-
tery (in case of power failure) the display, temperature and door alarms all function on the panel
• Does not provide enough power to operate the
lights or the alarm buzzer, light or phone dialer operated by the 8A terminal
