The chip capacitor is likely to be damaged in the inconsistency of voltage proof.
But, a problem symptom doesn't appear.

[SOLUTION]

The chip capacitor is changed to 0.1uF/50V on the CDR Module of MAR770/MAR775.

This improvement has been done in the production line after
the Lot number MZxxxxxx17xxxx and later.(DR6000)
the Lot number MZxxxxxx13xxxx and later.(DR6050)
the Lot number MZxxxxxx15xxxx and later.(CDR631)
the Lot number MZxxxxxx11xxxx and later.(CDR500)

The Lot number is mentioned the serial number label on the rear panel.
(ex.MZxxxxxx17xxxx)

Since a certain CD-R disc made in Taiwan is low quality, OPC is not completed normally.

SOLUTION

]

Please check the version of each software using the service mode.

If the versions are earlier than <DASP: MAR2.15> and <MACE(SPICE): 2.11+>, update each

software referring to attachment sheet.

Please refer to the service manual for CDR module MAR770/MAR775. (3120 785 22620,

385K855020) about details of updating software.

Please contact to MARANTZ office about the firmware <DASP> and <MACE(SPICE)>.

[REMARK]
OPU value realignment is mandatory after replace the <MACE(SPICE):2.11+> EPROM.

Please refer to the service manual for CDR module MAR770/MAR775. (3120 785 22620,

385K855020) about details of above alignment.
