MINIMUM DEPTH MODIFICATION
FOR USE ON MODEL “T” OPERATORS

This modification is available to model T operators.
FUNCTIONS:
Allows the powerhead unit of a drawbar operator to be mounted at the side of the rail instead
of on the end. Reduces the overall length dimension of a standard drawbar operator by 18
inches. If used in conjunction with a Carwash Modification or Watertight/Oilight Modification,
the overall length is reduced by only 12 inches.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE: Assemble the track per the owners manual
supplied, replacing the power head attachment
instructions with the following:
1. Drill (2) .406 Dia. holes in the right rail of the track
assembly (see figure 1).
2. Remove the existing top hex bolt and nut
connecting the auxiliary frame and tall spacer and set
to the side.
3. Lining up the holes in the auxiliary frame with the
holes in the track assembly, position the track
assembly on the auxiliary frame so that the motor
side of the operator is facing the door.
4. Install the track spacer assembly at the end of the
track, secure the track spacer, track, and auxiliary
frame together with (1) 3/8-16 x 3/4” hex bolt and (1)
3/8” serrated flange nut on each side (see figure 2).
5. Install (1) 3/8-16 x 3/4” hex bolt and (1) 3/8”
serrated flange nut in the third hole on each side of
the auxiliary frame (see figure 2).
6. Reinstall the top hex bolt and nut removed in step
2, connecting the tall spacer to the track assembly
(see figure 2).
7. Attach the short spacer to the track assembly by
placing (2) 3/8” flatwashers between the rail and the
short spacer and secure in place with (1) 3/8-16 x 1”
hex bolt and (1) 3/8” serrated flange nut (see figure
2).
8. Complete the installation of the operator using the
owners manual supplied.
NOTE: The second hole in the auxiliary frame and
the rails are provided for hanging the unit. The
powerhead must also be properly supported during
installation.
