Chapter 1: About the Peak PilateSystem
Thank you for purchasing the Peak PilateSystem (PPS). Available in two models, Deluxe and
Reformer, the PPS is the most versatile and innovative (patent pending) piece of portable Pilates
equipment you can buy. The PPS Deluxe model combines three essential pieces of equipment, the
Reformer, Cadillac (Tower End) and Mat, into one compact, space saving unit. The Reformer model
is the only portable piece of Pilates equipment that can be easily upgraded to include all of the
features of the Deluxe, 3-in-1model without sacrificing its portability. Requiring only one person,
both models easily fold and roll for storage without removing any parts. The PPS machines are
constructed of the highest quality, commercial grade materials and are engineered for utmost
performance and durability. They require little maintenance and will provide you with years of
satisfied use.
Peak Pilates (the leading choice of experienced Pilates professionals) and Life Fitness (the largest
manufacturer of fitness equipment found in health clubs world wide) have created an unprecedented
strategic partnership for global distribution of the Peak PilateSystem. If you have purchased your PPS
from Life Fitness, please contact your service representative for service or warranty issues. If you
have purchased your PPS from Peak Pilates, please contact its customer service department with
questions. For assistance with instructor training, program design or technical support, please contact
Peak Pilates or Life Fitness (see pages 4-5).
This manual provides valuable information concerning the safe and proper use of your PPS machine.
The entire guide should be read before beginning any exercise. All manufacturer’s recommendations,
cautions and/or warnings must be adhered to at all times. Failure to adhere to the content provided in
this manual could lead to damage to your machine and/or injury to you or your clients.
The remainder of this chapter will provide safety and contact information should your machine
require service or should you need to ask functional questions. Subsequent chapters include machine
specifications and basic recommendations for use (Chapter 2: Getting Started), unpacking and
assembling instructions (Chapter 3: Unpacking and Assembling the Peak PilateSystem), operating the
machine (Chapter 4: Operating the Peak PilateSystem), examples of basic patterns of Pilates exercise
(Chapter 5: Using the Peak PilateSystem) and maintenance and common replacement parts (Chapter
6: Maintaining the Peak PilateSystem). If, at any time, you have questions concerning any part of this
manual please contact us using the information found on pages 4 and 5.
We strongly advise that the PPS be used only by or under the supervision of a Certified Pilates
Instructor. Peak Pilates offers Education Programs and can provide training leading to certification.
