For a car that was inspired by competitive
racing, the last thing you’d expect would
be an indulgent, comfortable cabin. But
the IS is full of surprises. Dual-zone climate
control is designed to automatically react
to changes due to air temperature or
sunlight in any of the models—or when the
IS C’s top is lowered or raised. The climate­control system also uses a humidity sensor
and a microdust and pollen filter. In the IS F
and IS 350 sedan and convertible, a smog
sensor is designed to detect and help block
hydrocarbons from entering the cabin.

The seats and steering wheel are carefully
thought-out as well and beg for long drives
on winding roads. The steering wheel is
small in diameter like a race car’s and is
bound in leather trim for a firm grip.
The seats are bolstered to help hold you
in place around curves and are also
wrapped in leather hand-chosen from
premium full-grain stocks. One last detail
you’ll definitely want to put your hands
on: a leather-and-chrome-trimmed shift
knob. Putting the IS in gear is now more
tempting than ever.

seat as far back as possible and do not lean against the door. Do not put objects in front of an AB or around the seatback. Do not use a rearward-facing child seat in any front passenger seat. The
